Some of the workers are not knowledgeable or helpful at all. I went in for break pads and rotors for my truck. The guy at the counter, V had a hard time finding my vehicle in their system. He finally found what he thought were the right parts. Rang it up before I could ask questions, was annoyed that he had to bring it up on the screen again and wouldn't help me carry the very heavy items to my car right outside the door. Told me I could make two trips. I got home and realized V sold me the wrong parts. I looked them up on their website, found the right parts and went back. I showed him the right parts for the rotors on my phone and he asked me to look up the pad's too. I told him that that was kinda his job. He hopefully found the right pads and was left to carry them out in two trips again with no "sorry" or any kind of apology for the huge inconvenience it is when the customer gets the wrong parts. I've have had better experiences from some of their other staff but you never know who you will get. From now on I will find the parts I need on their website and not rely on anyone there having any competence or courtesy. read more

The gentleman that helped me with my battery went above and beyond. My battery was completely dead and after trying several ways to jump start me (including using his personal vehicle and almost catching on fire with my old jumper cables) he was able to just install my new battery on site. Very helpful, super knowledgeable, and respectful. He even tested my alternator. Very pleased with the service i received at this store. He was so kind and humble he wouldnt allow me to give him a tip. Give them all raises. read more

Also tested my alternator and starter, cleaned up the cable so that the new battery would fit in perfectly and made sure battery skirt fit perfect around battery. Lately it seems I've been spending a lot of time and some money in auto parts stores. My rebellious teenager (aka my 13 year old car) told me during our last downpour that we needed new wiper blades. I was in wiperblade wonderland maybe three minutes when I was asked if I was finding my wiper blades ok. She then pointed out the flavor on sale (buy one get one free) I asked her if I could mix and match a 24" and a 16" and she said I could. Yay me! Twenty bucks for a new set!!! eBay had a deal that good but I'd have to wait at least three weeks for them to ship from Shanghai, we will have rain again by then... So after an armful of more stuff I might as well get since I'm here, that same lady waited on me at the checkout and even offered help putting the blades on, to which I was grateful for the ask, but I declined. read more

The battery on my 2019 (leased!) GMC died and at 6pm on a Saturday night, I needed a new one-installed! I called and spoke to Meg. She verified the batt I needed was in stock and staff could install. I needed new wipers on the Prius (rain, hail, snow or sleet will not stop my Yelping) The service man looked it up, and installed them on the front, then attempted the back, and neither of us were able to figure it out! - I later fixed that with a you tube video - seems it is an little known secret to pop off the plastic part at the base of the wiper, then it comes up and can be replaced - Any way the man was very nice through the entire process and they had the parts, and that gets happy customer marks and 5 stars. read more

Wanted to give a quick 5 stars for Brad's customer service early this morning. Me and my Grandpa headed in here to try and get a pulley gear thing off of his old saw table motor. The Napa across the street tried helping but told us to check the shop out back for a gear puller. Nothing there to help us, so we shot across the street. Brad, as I asked his name before leaving, managed to use his gear puller on the part, remove it, undamaged, and he even used a few of his tools to do this. We asked him what we owed him and he let us off the hook. We came in there expecting to pay, but left as happy return customers. Kudos Brad, for your early morning customer service! read more

I have been coming here regularly for 15 years but am done and will go across the street instead. I came in to pick up an $8 part that I looked up on their webpage. I verified it was the right one for my car with the sales clerk. After paying declined the receipt because i have never had a problem returning things and I paid with ATM which leaves a footprint of my purchase. Of course it was the wrong part. So, I came back 15 minutes later and was helped by the same clerk. Even though he remembered me he could not find my purchase in the system, in part because he did not put my loyalty number in, but something must have been wrong with their system. His solution was that he could not return it and indicated that I had not purchased this from him 15 minutes prior. When I insisted that he return it he got angry and was very resistant and acted as if I was trying to rip him off for an $8 part. Eventually he calmed down a little and swapped this part with a different part. Something so easy should not be so hard. And treating loyal clients in such an angry, accusing way is unacceptable. Especially when there are so many alternative stores a stones throw away. As it is, this was still the incorrect part. But I am going to eat the $8 rather than go though that again. read more

I had a headlight out on my car and went to buy one at the branch in Paso. I asked the gentleman if he could help me put it in because I didn't want to get pulled over. He couldn't, but said that I could go the next day to the one in Atascadero (where I live). I was completely satisfied with the service that the ONLY woman in the store gave me. It was raining and she still went out and replaced the light and was super nice! It was nice to see that they had a woman that could do something people say "is a mans job" Props to her! read more

I was totally shocked by the AMAZING customer service by Robin at the Atascadero O'Reilly store. I told her I hadn't done car maintenance in ages and that I needed to prep for a road trip with the grandkids. I knew some of what I needed and Robin identified the specific items and asked if I needed a filter for the cabin of the car. I didn't know one existed. Robin came out to my car to see if it needed replacement. She spent a bit of time getting my glove-box removed and found the filter. It was filthy! I bought all the items and Robin came out to my car and installed the "cabin" filter and reattached the glove compartment. Then, she got a socket set and took the time to replace the air filter. She was amazing! I didn't know such fabulous customer service existed!!...anywhere on the planet!! I asked if she would get in trouble for helping me. She said they are ENCOURAGED to provide such wonderful customer service!!! I suggest that everyone within driving distance go to the Atascadero O'Reilly auto parts store. I also suggest everyone switch to the O'Reilly brand of auto parts because we as consumers should support stores with fabulous customer service.
