Absolutely outstanding and stellar service!! Melissa is so helpfully, knowledgeable and kind!! For the first time ever my friends and I went cross country skiing Melissa not only answered our questions, she gave us pointers and put us with the best ski instructor we could have asked for! Thor was incredible! We had a blast!! He got us up on the skis and kept us up! Needless to say my friend and I are so hooked! We are actually thinking about investing in so skis, Melissa said she would honor or a discount if we bring back the repot at a later date, we were so blown away. We kept the skis all day and had the greatest one of our lives! Thank you so much, Melissa and Thor for your kindness and professionalism. The was the best winter day we have ever had!

I stopped here to return my bear spray (very common to rent in Montana especially if you do any hiking). I had no idea that Freeheel and Wheel was an entire shop full of bike gear, athletic gear, socks and even a cute little coffee house. Epic! I wasn't in the market to buy anything but for someone who is seeking apparel or coffee - I'd recommend stopping here. The interior is super clean and there are helpful staff on-site. Note: bear spray return is outside in a safe drop box so if you are visiting after hours, you can still return it.

I loved visiting this cute little shop! I was visiting town for a week and I finally found a coffee shop that I loved! The service was amazing and the staff is friendly and polite. The day I come back into town, I will definitely remember this place!

Great bikes, and amazing service! My friend and I had grand plans of seeing Yellowstone National Park over Veterans Day weekend. What we failed to realize is that most of the park is closed to cars at that time as they prepare for the transition to winter and oversnow vehicles etc. When we saw this traffic hiccup on our map we quickly made alternate plans of seeing the northern part of the park on the first day and then called around looking for bike rentals for the next day. I was so fortunate to find Freeheel and Wheel on my second call (most businesses in West Yellowstone close for about a month before ski/winter season)! I put in a reservation for two bikes the next day and then was able to breathe easy knowing we had a new plan of attack! The owner of Freeheel and Wheel was super helpful the next day and even put my own personal saddle that I brought with me on the rental so I'd be comfortable for the 50 mile ride! With a bottle of fresh water already attached to each bike we were off! A truly magical day and such good people! Thanks for making our adventure so great!

When I saw him picking it up I realized it was mine and he gave it back to me. In all the stores in West Yellowstone, I have never seen anyone take the time to keep the floor clean. While I was in the store the owner and his employees were very kind to me and my dog, tucked away in her dog sling; they offered her water. The employees are very friendly and welcoming; considering the multitude of international tourists. I purchased several items in the Clearance section of the store as well as the main section. All the items I purchased were reasonably priced. The store has an extensive selection of souvenirs for everyone's taste. Spend sometime looking around and sit at the old fashion soda bar and enjoy the best ice cream in West Yellowstone. I highly recommend to visit this store.

I originally planned on staying inside the park in a cabin near the Old Faithful geyser. Everything was going according to plan until it was time for me to arrange my excursions. I wanted to visit a canyon in the park nicknamed "The Grand Canyon of Yellowstone" but all of their excursions to that location were booked months ahead of time. I really wanted to see it and in my despair felt like canceling my whole trip until the customer service rep recommended that I contact a company named Yellowstone Fun. I called Yellowstone Fun and talked to a down to earth guy named Charlie Thomas. I explained my situation and to say that he helped me out would be a major understatement. And yes, he had an available slot for the excursion to the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone! Even though it was already September and my vacation was planned for December, he meticulously arranged everything except for my flight (which I'd already set up myself). He set up a package for me that when all was said and done cost me about $1028. I had to finish paying for everything by the end of October. Here's what my package included: 1) A shuttle to take me to West Yellowstone, MT from the airport in Bozeman, MT and back once my vacation was over: West Yellowstone is about 90 miles from Bozeman. The shuttle company is named Karst Stage. 2) Four-night lodging at Three Bear Motel in West Yellowstone along with a free breakfast each morning at the Three Bear Restaurant in the motel. He also gave me a coupon for one free prime-rib dinner at the restaurant. 3) A Yellowstone park pass that covered each of my trips into the park: You need to have a park pass whenever you enter Yellowstone National Park. 4) Snowcoach excursions for three separate tours into Yellowstone National Park: A company called Alpen Guides provided the snowcoaches and drivers. 5) A ticket to the IMAX Theatre in West Yellowstone Charlie Thomas sent me an email explaining in detail everything I paid for. The email also included printable maps of the town and the park. There were also recommendations on what to wear in order to stay warm and this humorous bit of advice: Never eat yellow snow where the buffalo have roamed. Everything seemed so easy and good to be true that I was skeptical at first and kept calling him before I caught my flight out there. I was so used to having to set up each part of my vacation by myself. But it all went according to plan and I didn't have to worry about a thing. I ended up being there from Sunday, 12/16/2018 - Thursday 12/20/2018. Charlie even told me about a hotel I could stay in near the airport since my flight wasn't scheduled to leave until the afternoon of 12/21/2018. That hotel was a separate entity and wasn't a part of the package he arranged but him recommending that hotel saved me from having to spend hours at the airport before my flight home. If you ever want to visit Yellowstone and do it in style, I recommend Yellowstone Fun. In addition to what I've told you about, you can also rent snowmobiles from them and ride that instead of the snowcoach. I'm rating Yellowstone Fun five stars. Hired a driver and brought the bike to Yellowstone Bicycles. I wish I could remember the name of the nice older gentleman who runs (owns?) the place, but he was terrific. Replaced the shifter cable and diagnosed the problem (previous shop had left off a key piece of equipment). While Yellowstone Bicycles doesn't carry Trek bikes, they were able to jury-rig a piece of equipment that solved the problem and saved my vacation. I got the sense he saw it as a challenge to fix and wasn't going to let me leave without making it work. We spent 40 minutes figuring out the issue and coming up with a plan and then he charged me...$25. These are great folks who know their craft and enjoy working and meeting people. We visited on a Sunday and were pleasantly surprised that the park wasn't too crowded. Because of this, we had extra time for a few additional stops along the route, which was a great bonus. We were also lucky enough to see an incredible variety of wildlife, including a grizzly bear, black bear, bison, elk, and more. One thing to note is that most stops are about 20-50 minutes long, so there isn't a lot of time to fully explore each area or purchase food. Our group chose to include lunch through the company, and it was more than enough for lunch. I would suggest to bring some snacks if you're a snacker.
