The problem is still not fixed. I recently took my 2010 GMC Arcadia into Freeman GMC for an issue I had with the front end, a clanking noise whenever I went over a bump etc.... We moved to the area a couple months back and always insist on going to a dealer for my truck, with the assumption they are the experts, wrong. After waiting for two hours I was told that its not the front end and actually a motor mount, one had cracked and that was causing the problem. I didn't believe it and asked them to check again, said that although a cracked motor mount could add to the problem, the noise was most definitely coming from the front end, a ball joint or strut issue. They came back to confirm that all was A OK and surely the motor mount. $335 later, I had a new motor mount. On my way home, the front end was still a disaster, so, I took my truck back once again and this time asked that the resident front end expert join me for a ride. Who prior to getting out of the parking lot confirmed it must be a ball joint or strut. 5 hours later I get a call, sway bar ball joints out, Strut mounts on both sides are shot as well. $450 dollars later, the next day I pick up my truck. Prior to leaving I am told that the brake master cylinder is leaking and need to have it replaced soon, about $1000. Not fixed, even worse front end noise, shameful. read more

I will never use their service department ever again. Much less buy a vehicle from them. I was in there on Friday the 21st. I was there at 8:30 am and left my truck to have the brakes done. Friday afternoon I get back to dealership after getting a ride from a friend to be told that my truck hasn't even been looked at. They put me in a loaner and said it would be ready on Sat. Come Saturday I hear nothing. Monday afternoon I call and am told it's ready. When I get there they say it'll be a few more minutes as it is still not ready. They bring it around finally dripping wet. Mind you I left my truck there detailed. It's a black truck and they bring it out dripping and didn't even bother wiping it dry. As the gentleman is backing up my truck he rear ends a GMC terrain!! The manager comes out and says sorry and gives me gas money as that is the best they could do!! NEVER AGAIN read more

I recently purchased a nicely used Ford Ranger from Zack King at Freeman. I live in Austin so I made contact with Zack over the phone and email. A good friend of mine test drove the truck. Within a day of my friend getting the truck for me the truck did not start. I contacted Zack and they sent a tow truck and ran extensive tests. All was fine and Zack brought the truck back to my friend. All I can say is this has been a terrific experience of buying a used vehicle and experiencing a hiccup with it. Purchased a 2016 Buick Envision on July1, 2016. From the moment I arrived until I drove off the lot in my new car I was treated the way all customers would like to be. The folks at Freeman GMC/Buick are polite, professional, courteous, and customer oriented. I made contact with Fred Sowers a day or two earlier via GMC's Military Discount Program which was running through the 4th of July weekend. I identified to him two Buick Envision's on Freeman's lot that I was very interested in. Upon arrival at the dealership, Fred showed both of them to me, I decided which of the two I wanted to, and we went inside and began negotiating. Long story short - between the trade in I brought, the Military discount, and a little give from Freeman I was out the door about an hour later paying the price I had in mind and driving one helluva' good looking car. He checks my warranty coverage, he arranges a loaner car at no charge if they will have my car for any length of time, and I find the staff there to be knowledgeable and very convivial. When I told her what I needed and that I would need a loaner she said I couldn't get one unless I purchased from there. I bought my previous car from Freeman Mazda, and was extremely satisfied with that purchase. I'm now in the market for a truck, so I figured I should stop by the GMC dealership under the same group. Unfortunately, it's not even close to being as good as the Mazda one was. I knew exactly what I was looking for and had them search their lot and other dealers for it. They found one that was acceptable and quoted me a price. I wrote down an offer and my number, telling the guy to call when he could do that price. The vehicle I was looking for is available elsewhere in the country for far cheaper, but that means I would have to fly out and have the vehicle shipped back. I made an offer with a target price in mind that I was looking for them to counter with, which would have been slightly higher than buying it out of state. The guy said he couldn't do it, and I have no issues with that. I thanked him, shook his hand, and walked away. Some places just can't do the prices that others can, so no harm, no foul as far as I was concerned. But the salesman transformed into a toddler, loudly crumpling up the paper I wrote my number on and throwing it away, then yelling after me, "I don't know where you got that number from." You're better off just going to Everett in AR, Dennis Dillon in ID, or Laura/Dave Sinclair/Fusz in the STL area. Even after the flight and shipping, you'll pay less than what's apparently a personally insulting offer to Freeman, and the sales staff at those places are actual adults. Staying local is worth a premium, but dealing with immature people when you're looking to hand them tens of thousands of dollars is not. read more

I leased a 2015 GMC Terrain from this dealership. Fred Sowers was my sales rep and was hands down the best car rep I have ever had. He was always responsive and respectful of my time. I ended up getting a different car when the lease was up (I wanted a different brand/ type of car that GMC does not offer). Even when I turned my lease in a few months early, Fred went out of his way to help with all the paper work and take care of me. I sent my dad in to get a car from him and can not say enough positive things. The service team was always helpful and on time. I never had any issues in my 3 years with GMC. Final update 12/19/2018 - Lost control due to the shaking and hit a concrete barrier wall on Hwy 114 at 65 MPH. 12/4/2017 - latest & greatest update - car STILL plagued with electrical issues (approx 2 yrs. 10 visits to svc later AND still an issue)!! Shaking (approx. 7 mos 4-5 visits to svc AND still an issue)!! Heads up display (approx 4 mos 3 visits to svc later AND still an ongoing issue) was told it was the curvature of my windshield that is the reason....defective parts 2 times & they broke my control knob!!! A/C issues 5 mos & 3 svc visits later, seems fixed though it hasn"t been warm enough for me to run since picking up 11/22! They won't stand behind the vehicles they sell nor their service!!!! Can't post pictures now since they've blocked me from posting BUT can update my revew Check YouTube soon will be posting video's soon of the issues and visits to their dealership..... maybe the voicemail messages with conflicting lies....I played thern for GM HQ today. Buy your vehicle elsewhere, if not you'll be plagued with numerous visits to the service department. They sold me a car with an open recall (per Ozzie, in a coversation 2/13/17) so apparently they knew about an electrical issue and sold the car anyway!!!! When purchased I asked for a copy of the "inspection/mechanical report" from where they took it in on trade in, claimed not to have one! They didn't even provide a copy of the prior service visits, said it was fine. Actually, it had already been in and out of the service dept. for many things, including the driver's seat (something wasn't right couldn't figure it out until I was flipping through the prior service on my car while waiting on the cashier to finish with another couple, asked them to correct the issue with that lack of quality warranty work, wouldn't do it and I'd have to pay about $175, for lack of quality on warranty work). Ozzie also advised they are NOT a "CERTIFIED" dealer because it cost too much money to become certifie. Are you freaking serious???? But yet according to Trevis they are designated as a "service elite" dealership!!! I'm not setting how they got it nor why they've been able to keep it! It gets better, they've had an engineer come out to diagnose my vehicle, so they've kept my SUV for some times 3 + weeks. Ozzie NOW informs me that I was only permitted to drive their loaner vehicle no more than 300 miles TOTAL each time you have one, no matter the length of time they've kept your vehicle in the Service department! NO mention at drop off of any kind of mileage limitations, only after the fact!!! So in one instance I couldn't have even driven to work daily muchless to the pharmacy to get my child's medicine, take to a doctor visit or the grocery store. For My last service dropped my vehicle off 12/15, advised I needed it back by the 20th or morning of the 21st, as we were flying out for Christmas vacation. They called a couple days later stating my SUV was ready, well guess what we're not in town & the loaner was in our garage in TEXAS. Ozzie then insinuated I was lying about the fact we FLEW out of town, I offered copies of airline tickets, rental car receipts, car service receipt from our home to the airport and even mentioned that the PD was at my home when the car service arrived due to a theft of checks from our home by a contractor. So everything you visioned about a "powder Blue polyester suit wearing used car sales" THIS dealership completely embodies it, in every way!!!! (Awaiting a return call from Mr. Freeman to a voice mail left 2/13/17). In my last two visits to Freeman, I've discovered that Kim Rainbow is only part of the problem in the Service department....she's beyond rude, she's disrespectful & thoroughly unprofessional!!!! How she treated me this evening was well over the top, not to mention how horrible her interactions are with her colleagues are! Let me start by saying if there was an option lower than 1 star they would get it. Last February we bought a 2015 GMC Yukon Denali from this dealership. It has just over 4k miles. So it was sold as new/used. This dealership volunteered to gives us a Carfax report without us even asking. This should have been suspect to me but my husband and I thought it was just good business.. Turns out the vehicle was owned by someone closely connected with the dealership owned the vehicle before us and actually did have a wreck in it but it was not claimed on insurance (therefore doesn't show up on the Carfax). In the year that we have had this SUV the notification sensors have gone out twice (because they were just glued back on), the transmission has been serviced twice and a few days ago the air conditioner stopped working. Luckily, the transmission work was covered by warranty. However, it still doesn't drive right. The $3k AC job is not covered. It is terrible that a business would sale something this expensive and not be honest about the condition. read more

Let me start by stating that I literally have a degree in consumer sciences which means I know how to shop to get the best quality at a great value. This summer I was looking for a new mid-sized SUV and went online to do all my initial research. I narrowed my choices down to the Kia Sportage, Hyundai Santa Fe Sport, and the new Buick Envision. I spent an entire week researching and reviewing the various options I wanted before even stepping foot into a dealership. I then spent another week test driving each model under various driving conditions. I went to Freeman because they had some good reviews online. I will confirm the postitive reviews, especially for Scott Brown, the sales rep I worked with. I had tons of questions and he answered as many as he could and told me he would research the others, since the model is new to the Buick family and he was still learning about it. Scott made sure he communicated with us when he would be working with other customers so we wouldn't waste our time waiting for he; I really appreciate that he valued our time. When it came to working a deal, he was very up-front and even told us about the teacher incentives offered by GMC so we could save even more. Even after purchasing the Envision, Scott has followed up with us several times to make sure we're happy with our purchase and "keep the sale going". I would definitely recommend Scott to anyone looking for a new car not wanting to deal with any pressure sales at all. The only issue I have at all was when we got into financing and our rep had to record himself giving us the entire schpeel about warranties. I know it was a liability thing with the dealership and that he had a script he had to follow but when we were obviously bored with it after the first 5 minutes, he should have just asked us if we wanted him to stop so we could decline. He was the only experience I've had with Freeman that seemed remotely shady but even he was very nice and helpful. Hopefully, the service department will be better than the reviews when I have to deal with them later. read more

This is a horrible dealership and bad customer service. During the process of purchasing my truck, I was told 1.9% interest and all financing process was completed once I came to pick up the truck. I come to the dealership,the finance manager was the only person available and the sales person had left for the day....He could not wait to even Thank me for buying with him. The finance manager informs nothing has been done with my paperwork. Therefore, I had to wait almost 3 hours for them to run paperwork and clean up truck. HORRIBLE!! 6 months has passed and now I receive my DMV renewal for my trade-in. What the hell? They did not transfer my title. Are you serious? I purchased my used canyon here from a salesmen named Mike Ware. He by far is the only thing good about this dealership. 5 stars for sure to Mr Ware. Unfortunately their customer service and collision center is the worst. I got hit by someone the road back on November 2nd, 2019 (3 months ago) so I thought I would have the dealership where I purchased my canyon fix it. About 4 weeks later I get my truck back but now it's leaking fluid from the rear axle that was replaced and my key kept getting stuck in the ignition which was an issue from the accident that I had mentioned to them when I first dropped it off. I decided to take my truck back to get the issues corrected. I had been dealing with a lady named Dominique and she had promised me a loaner since I had returned the rental and my claim had been closed out with the insurance company. She told me that she didn't have a loaner at the time I dropped of my truck so she would call me when she got one for me. She never called me and never returned my calls. 3 weeks later when I went to the dealership in person to visit her because one one would call me back she apologize and told me that she had passed on her job of calling me onto someone else who unfortunately for her never call me. My truck had been just sitting there untouched and I had been without a loaner for 3 weeks. She then tells me that the leak is residual oil from the install and that she doesn't think that insurance will fix the key getting stuck but she could have the insurance company come back out and see if they will pay for the issue. They did come out the next day and approved the supplement to get my truck fixed. Again I never got a loaner even though I repeated asked her for one. She never once followed through with her promise of getting me one and again was difficult to get ahold of throughout the process. I finally got my truck back in January (about 2 and a half months after my accident). So about 2 weeks after I got my truck back a second time I still kept seeing lots of oil loss from my rear axle so I go to a car wash and wash off whatever residual oil maybe on the axel and the next day I see a big puddle underneath my truck. Which means that the dealership never looked at the rear axle the second time around they just told me what they thought might be the reason why my truck was leaking. I got sick of dealing with Dominique so I called her manager James Storm because I was not going to return to Dominique and give them my truck back without getting loaner first. I did get a loaner and I did finally get my truck fixed on Feb 5th, 2020. This was all 3 months after my accident and 3 trips back to the dealership. No attention to detail, no customer service, no communication, no timely repairs and definitely no care for the customer. read more

I bought a Buick Enclave from Freeman last month. The vehicle is excellant. However, the process of buying the car was one of the worst that I have ever experienced. First, while we were having a test drive of the new vehicle, someone replaced the regular license plates of the car that we had driven to the dealership with paper tags. When questioned about this, no one at the dealership would admit that they had done this. Second, after agreeing to a price on the new vehicle, the Sales Manager came in and offered an very low price on the trade in. When I showed him the prices that I had reasearch on the internet (which were several thousand dollars more than his offer), he asked if I had hit "Print Check" on the web site to get the money from the web site. Finally, got him to increase his price for my trade in. The way we were treated reminded me of the long ago image of car salesmen and the shady tactics. I thought GM was more customer focused and responsive, but I guess that I went to the wrong dealer. read more

I was interested in a Buick Encore so I went to check it out at Freeman and it was the weirdest car dealer experience of my life. A salesperson named Glen popped out of the side door when I was entering and showed us the car... When I first sat in the car, Glen wanted to show us how easily the seats fold down but struggled to do so gracefully and almost yelled as he told us to hold this or pull this as he struggled. Then Glen was quick to point out any and all flaws the car had... "That's weird isn't it?" He said, pointing to the fact that only the driver's seat was a captain's chair (something I probably wouldn't have noticed otherwise). Starting the test drive, Glen continues his negativity, saying "It gets really hot in the back seat - can you turn the air up?" I then proceeded on his test drive route which was one of the longer test drives I've taken and one of the more unusual as a large portion of the drive was on streets that were under construction. I have to say, I really did like the car and was interested in leasing it; however, that's when things got weirder. Glen took us back to his office which consisted of a 1980s-style calculator and a clipboard that had 'Glen' written all over it in sharpie marker. I told him I was interested in leasing the car so he proceeded to pull out a blank sheet of paper and write my name and phone number down. He then proceeded to type numbers into his old calculator and then handed me a sheet of paper that said something like $399/month for 36 months and some down payment number. "That's your lease rate," he said. I responded, "Really, you don't need to run my credit?" "We can run your credit if you want the car but that's the lease rate." He replied. Having just left numerous other dealerships where I had to almost fight my way out the door in order to leave and that seemed much more scientific in their assessment of lease rates and down payments, I was a bit confused. I hesitantly said Ok and asked if I could take the blank sheet of paper with a random number written on it with me. He said no but was happy to hand me a pen and provide me a blank sheet of paper so I could copy it... Needless to say, I did not buy a car from Glen. At least I have a funny story to tell. read more

He went to bat for us with his Sales Manager and got us into 2 vehicles at our budget on the nose. We didn't buy right then as we wanted to look at another dealership before making a decision. Les didn't bat an eye, gave us his card and just said to let him know. We came back a few hours later and finalized everything. I bought my new 2013 Sierra from Freemans in December 2012 and the overall buying experience was okay. I went back to get my free oil change/air filter/tire rotation servicing that comes with buying a new car. When I came to pick it up, they had forgotten to screw the lug nuts back onto my rear driver wheel and a mile down the road after feeling some jolting I stopped. The wheel was already off the bolts and an inch from coming off the axle completely. I then waited for an hour and a half (about a mile from Freeman's) for a tow... When they arrived, they acted like I was just another guy calling in with car trouble.. They replaced what was damaged but they never recognized the risk my truck or myself was at. What I got was another free oil change.. After this oil change, it took a couple days for the service engine light to come on and I took it back to Freeman's. Without offering a rental, they said they need to keep it over night.. The oil cap had been left off from the oil change.. I won't be going back to Freeman's and I will not be recommending them to others... read more

I recently had to bring my car in for a self inflicted repair and a repair due to being rear-ended. Took 3 hours for an oil change and recall repair. Also I was told from previous service advisor that my oil change would be free if I completed it by 11/24/2016. What he failed to look up was the mileage restriction so what I expected to be a free oil change was not. Not the best customer experience at the register. This was my first experience with this dealership. I brought my truck in to have the driver side, side view mirror replaced. I called on a 11/16/16 ordered the part and from there my appointment was set for 7:30 on 11/18/16. Upon arriving no one came to greet me, after sitting in my truck for 23 mins I finally walked to one of the glass offices to be helped. Thought everything would be fine from that point. After being there over an hour they come back out and tell me that they forgot to order my part and there was nothing they could do for me. This was very tacky and unprofessional. I took it upon myself to call another GMC that I normally deal with that took the time to tell me every dealership in my area that had my parts in stock, not sure why they couldn't have done so or even went to pick one up from those places.
