All dialed in!
John C.

My 73 Camaro needed it's alignment dialed in after the front suspension and steering had been replaced. I called a few places that looked reputable but were all weeks out, Freeman happen to have an immediate opening so I rushed over. This is an old school alignment shop, if you're looking for a laser alignment with the latest machines this isn't the place. Instead you get skilled work from experienced staff using the tools and devices needed to dial in the alignment. I was a bit skeptical at first but about halfway through my alignment a clean Chevelle rolls in with a full aftermarket front suspension because apparently this is the spot to go. If you plan on waiting there is a bit of witty banter between them to keep you entertained. Steering wheel is straight and car tracks straight down the road like it should all done for a fair price of $150.

7/26/17- What's wrong here?? The axel is not placed correctly, where the coil is bending and the sway bar link is almost touching the coil.

Freeman Frame came highly recommend over 4-Wheel parts. I needed upper & lower control arms installed, axel centered and the front end aligned. My truck is a 4-wheel drive with a straight axel and it can be a pain. Recently I've had everything replaced or rebuilt with the exception of the control arms. If one component is off like the control arms, it can damage other components over time, and if you have bad or worn out parts, the same can occur. I called on a Monday to schedule an appointment to take in my truck and I clearly advise what I need done to it. I came in first thing Friday at 0800. Again I went over everything that I had done to my front end...just a brief run down..the history. Terry advises me that it should be done around 2pm/1400...ok. Uber'd home and met up with my wife and took her to the movies..We saw Dunkirk. Movie is over and I called and spoke to Terry..ALL DONE! Cool, I am on my way. I got in my truck and grabbed the package of baby wipes...What?!? Like you don't have baby wipes handy in your ride?!? I pull out a few and proceed to wipe down the steering wheel, center console and door handles... DIRTY Mechanics!! While driving home, the truck was pulling to the left. :/ It being a Friday I'm not going to call till Monday. Let the guys chill and have their weekend. Visually I didn't see anything wrong till the next day. I noticed that my coils were forward, not centered as they should be. The sway bar link were off as well. About a inch from the coil..Almost touching. I ran a few errands and it just didn't feel right?!?! :/ Monday I call, expressed my concerns made a appointment. Wednesday I'm back again. Visually pointed out what I see and explains to Terry on how my truck rides. 2 hours later and it's finally done right. I just wish they could of done it right the first time. I'm all about supporting small businesses. Would I come back here again.. I don't know.

FREEMAN's crew performing a rear alignment.

My Jeep Grand Cherokee was side swiped while parked, and after repairs were made at an alternate shop, I took my Jeep to Freeman's for front and rear alignments. Terry and crew were great and did the work quickly and accurately. They also noted some additional damage that the first repair shop missed and promptly fixed it. I was pleased wIth the outcome and would recommend this shop to anyone.

It had been a very busy year and I still had many demands on my time that were not related to the trip, and I was stressed. I asked them to do routine engine maintenance and to find out why the dashboard AC had stopped working. They did as I asked and found and fixed the problem with the AC right away. I wanted new tires plus a spare for the trip. Savio referred me to Ramon's and they did a wonderful job with the tires, including locating a rim for the spare. The Solis has no space for a spare. I ordered a mounted from Landed Gear and had it shipped to Leales and Leales followed the instructions for the installation so that the spare stayed put even when we drove the famously rough Alcan Highway there and back. The road is built on permafrost and its reputation has not been exaggerated - we encountered one car with two flat tires - but with good tires and slow driving, we never needed our spare. We also did not experience the problems I've read people have with other brands or improperly installed back door mounted spare tire racks: broken window or warping of the metal doors.

AVOID LEALE'S RV -- Misleading, Frustrating, and Unprofessional…read more I had a really frustrating experience with Leale's RV, particularly with Michael in their service department. I brought in my 2024 Thor motorhome for a battery-related issue. Michael incorrectly told me that my coach does not support Group 31 AGM batteries and insisted I would need to spend nearly $2,000 to upgrade to lithium. He was adamant, repeatedly citing his past experience working at Thor (from years ago) as the basis for his claims--even though the coach came from the factory with Group 31s. He had a condescending attitude and loves to talk on the phone explaining how experienced he was. Meanwhile, he keeps sending me photos of their posted $239/hr labor rate as if that justified the misdiagnosis or poor service, rather than addressing the actual issue. It felt like a deflection rather than a solution. Thankfully, Savio his manager was able to step in, confirm the unit was indeed compatible with Group 31 batteries, and help me get the right battery installed immediately. I bought the battery myself and dropped it off for a quick, proper install--something that should've happened from the beginning. Although I'm having to pay for the diagnostics even though they have the authorization from the manufacturer to cover the diagnostics! To make matters worse, I was told they wouldn't cash the reimbursement check from the manufacturer (Thor), but they cashed it anyway, leaving me out $700 and damaging my relationship with Thor. I had to chase down Thor myself for clarification and deal with the fallout. Despite talking to them on June 26 and then explaining that they closed the case and zero checks would be cashed. July 16 and Thor confirms the check was indeed cashed. This whole experience left me feeling deceived, ignored, and frustrated. Between the incorrect technical advice, the lack of accountability, and the poor communication, I cannot recommend Leale's RV to anyone looking for honest, competent service. I'm just glad that I did not pay for them to upgrade my batteries at $1,800 because the coach already supports lithium batteries.

We ended up spending the night in front of Almaden RV, hoping they could help us the next morning. From the moment they arrived, the owners and their team were incredibly professional, kind, and helpful. They quickly assessed the damage, made sure they had the parts we needed, and repaired our trailer. Their efficiency and willingness to help after such a stressful and exhausting night meant we were able to get back on the road and continue our trip to Monterey. They truly saved our weekend! We can't thank the team at Almaden RV enough for their outstanding service and would highly recommend them to anyone in need of RV repairs.

We don't expect white-glove service from an RV repair shop, all we care about is that the job is…read moredone correctly and on time. Unfortunately, this shop failed at both, and the consequences could have been deadly. We brought in our mobile surgery RV to have the air conditioning system repaired. They told us to rush the vehicle there so they could get started right away. We made it clear from day one that we needed the RV on Mondays for our clinic days, and they acknowledged and agreed to that timeline. We were told the AC would be fixed in a single day, that the part was on its way and would arrive promptly. Instead, the part was delayed with no updates, and the repair dragged on with no clear timeline. In the meantime, we also asked them to check the brakes and suspension. The RV was left sitting there, again, nothing was done. We had to bring it back multiple times, each time hoping for progress, but left with no answers and no work completed. And then the worst part: when we finally got the RV back, not only was the rooftop AC unit still broken, but it had been left completely unsecured, something we didn't discover until after we had driven in on the freeway multiple times and notice it shifted. Had it fallen, it could have caused a serious accident or killed someone. They also left exposed live wires in the cabin. Because we perform surgery in this van and carry oxygen onboard, this created a massive fire risk. It was more than just poor service -- it was negligence. Yes, we should have double-checked their work. But is it unreasonable to expect that when a vehicle is returned to us by a professional repair shop, it's at least safe to drive? When we went back to the shop to address our concerns, the owner, Chris, showed no remorse and inconvenienced by us declining further service. He didn't apologize or acknowledge the risks we had been exposed to. Instead, he was bothered that we no longer trusted them to continue the work. He made sure to charge us for the time they spent diagnosing the RV, despite delivering it in an unsafe condition and not completing any of the work we originally requested. We can overlook poor customer service. But we cannot overlook negligence, especially when lives are on the line. We strongly urge anyone, particularly those using their RVs for professional or medical purposes, to think twice before trusting this shop with your vehicle.

I had a great experience working with Duane at California Camper Repair…read more I originally brought my Winnebago in for body work related to what I thought was collision damage. During the process, Duane identified a structural issue that I don't believe a typical RV service center would have caught -- the passenger-side wall was separating from the floor near the entry door due to a missing bracket tying the wall to the chassis. He designed and fabricated a custom heavy-duty bracket to properly secure it. The repair completely resolved the issue and even reduced a significant amount of noise in the coach. Duane takes a true problem-solving approach and is willing to go beyond standard repairs to get things done right. That's hard to find. Once parts were available, the turnaround was quick, and I also appreciated the flexibility -- he allowed us to take the rig and use it after part of the work was completed while waiting on the remaining parts. That made a big difference for us. Overall, very happy with the work and would definitely recommend California Camper Repair, especially for more complex or hard-to-diagnose issues.

Repair and paint job look like new. Water heater works like new, my wife is very pleased. The inverter was a bigger problem, he checked and measured according to the manufacturers help line and eventually they determined that a tiny switch in the converter had been left in the wrong position. Charging works well now, just have to return it to have it load tested as I needed it for a couple of days. Dwayne was great to work with, knowledgeable and he likes to explain things as they were happening. The cost was a very pleasant surprise, it was much less than I expected for all the work that was done. I am very satisfied. He is now my new go to guy.
