I'm an administrator for a large nonprofit that utilizes fleet vehicles. One of our large company transit vans had a wire in the side wall, not patchable and needed to be replaced. OK. Totally understand. I had my employee give the phone to either a tech or a manager, I'm not sure as they didn't inform me, and he immediately asked if my staff member had a business card as he didn't feel comfortable taking payment over the phone. I initially thought it was a bit strange, but I can empathize with the amount of scams going on. He cleared it up with another coworker, who said it was no problem. Just to note: Our logo, phone number, and county related information is printed very large on the side of the transit van. With the method of payment cleared up, he proceeded to ask for the card number. He didn't give me a size. He didn't give me a price. He just said give me the card number when you're ready. I had to ask him what exactly the prices are, and if there's any kind of invoice he could provide me. He then said oh yes, and informed me: $289.25 for a single 225/75/16. When I started to ask why such a high price, instructed me to stop speaking and let him talk....he went on to explain the rating of the tire, what they do as business on fleet vehicles, confirmed they know what they're doing, etc - basically what you'd call a full mechanic special. Yes, Im a woman, but I have unfortunately also worked long hours in a tire shop/parts department. Im familiar with the jargon, the pitch, the upsell; and why it was unnecessary. Plus, it was just odd to be so dismissive and confrontational so quickly... I thanked him for the information and promptly told my staff member to leave. Not only was the employee rude and dismissive, but the pricing was unreasonable. I reached out to another tire shop .5 miles away that also works on fleet vehicles - they promptly took us and replaced the tire for less than 3/4 of the price out the door. Brand new. Same "grade." With a great warranty. My coworkers reported similar comments; as both a consumer and professional, I don't believe any customer politely asking for prices or clarification should be spoken to that way. Especially when they request payment before providing any service details. I understand they have large agreements with multiple other fleet vehicles, (as I was told) and I do not discredit that. Rolled up in here cuz my stupid car got a flat while driving. Was hoping that I could just patch it up, cuz I didn't wanna spend mad cash before my super awesome trip. But guess what! Wasn't gonna happen. The lovely thing about driving Subbies is that they are 4WD, AWD, whatever. Which means that if you need to replace one tire, you get to replace FOUR TIRES! Yippie!! So yeah, not cheap. But whatever, it was time to replace them anyway, but I was just pushing it off as long as possible. Got the good stuff, cuz I wanna hit the mountains a lot this season, and they were pretty reasonably priced. Service was dope and everyone was super friendly. Looking for an honest reliable mechanic is a rarity and judging by the reviews I can see why this place is rated very highly. I came by this morning using a coupon for an oil and lube job and was greeted by Tony and Juno the mechanic that did a complete inspection mention that it needed new tires that were wore out and Tony had me look at it and they were so I left my car and came back that afternoon. Tony is very professional and only points out what it needs to be done in my case it was just the tires and nothing else. This place can be very busy so it's best to scheduled an appointment. I am very pleased with their workmanship very professional and highly recommend to my friends and co-wirkers. Will be back for my next oil and lube job. read more

I have been buying my truck tires here for years. Every time I come here a cost me $1000 to get tires for my trucks. I came in today to ask about my warranty for the fire stone tires that the guy from the counter sold me. The tires are cracking on the sides. The first thing out of the big goofs mouth is " I don't think that's true" huh? I think to myself, "you don't think what's true?" The other counter person tells me that they got bought out and all the information is gone. both counter guys are talking at me like I don't know what I'm talking about. The owner IS NOT a trustworthy person AT ALL. I went in to get my brakes and rotors done, and it took about 10-15 mins of a sales pitch and telling stories to try to relate to me and gain my trust, before he FINALLY gave me the astronomical price! Now, to be fair, I did bring my car in rather hastily. But that doesnt excuse his pushy, greedy demeanor! To give you an idea of pricing (and to save urself time & an overly aggressive sales pitch): *Brakes & Rotors*(Bruce's) = $600-$800+ for ONE AXLE! *Brakes & Rotors*(AAA Care Car Plus on Brokaw) = $1000 for BOTH AXLES! The owner then proceeded to offer me a credit card to finance the repairs, after I complained it was too pricey for me... It was typical salesman B.S. trying to convince me that he and everyone else who worked there had the same card and that was no big deal... Even after i firmly said "No thanks", and his younger associate hinted to him to 'ease up' with pushing the credit card so intently, he STILL kept trying to sell me. Needless to say, I took my key and got out of there! He was so focused on gouging me for as much as he could, that he literally sent me running to another shop (which, turns out was way more truthful and AFFORDABLE!) I had a run in with this shop sometime last year. Where my wife went in to have her car tires rotated. Once in the shop, they removed two of the tires before they had noticed the rear tires had uneven wear. My wife was notified, so we decided to get a get quick quote for replacement tires at Bruce's. The quote came out to be about $300 dollars (25% more) than Costco. We asked to have the tires be put back on as we found a cheaper option. When we arrived at Costco and went through the purchase of the new tires we were notified two of the lugs (not nuts) were stripped and needed to be replaced (Costco doesn't perform this type of work.) Disgruntled we called Bruce's to have them replaced, as they were the last shop to touch tires. We had a back and forth about how we wanted the shotty workmanship corrected out of their pocket, and they gave me a long winded answer on how it's not their procedure to removed tires without an inspection (although my wife saw them take the tires off!!) Finally, they decided that they would perform the fix and that it would be a half day's work (a reputable shop should be able to do this work in an hour) and wasn't available until after the long weekend. After giving them a shot to correct their work we decided against it since I could no longer trust their work. We instead went to JB automated down the street and had a fast turnaround and no issues. TLDR: Bruce's performed shotty work and wouldn't own up to their mistakes. Cost us $300 out of pocket and a half day's of work. Instead went to JB Automative down the street. read more

Clearly this place is jumping at every opportunity to scam people with dishonest and unprofessional service. My experience started out very promising. I needed to get all new tires and this place was quick to get me a quote with their special discount at the time, order them for me and set up an appointment for a few days later. When I went in for the appointment, Tony told me it would take about 3 hours and that he would call me when finished. A couple hours in, he called to let me know that my brake pads desperately needed to be replaced. He explained it to me well, however, he went on to say that I should pray to Jesus and God that I am alive since they are so worn out I could have died. So inappropriate! He said it was urgent for me to get the service done now, and gave me a quote for $2,000... insane! Besides trying to scare me into getting the service done, he gave me a ridiculous price. As a young woman who doesn't know much about cars, I have no doubt Tony was trying to take advantage of me. Thankfully my family supported me and I was able to take my car somewhere else for a third of the price. Tony didn't seem surprised when I told him his price was too expensive for me. After 3 hours went by, Tony never called to tell me my car was ready, probably because he was annoyed I didn't fall for his schemes. When I picked up my car, he even tried to charge me full price rather than the original quote with the discount. So. Lame. TLDR; take your car elsewhere. read more

We have a RAM Promaster. Lots of tire shops can't work on a vehicle this large. When I called here earlier this morning, Brandon answered after just a few rings. It's great when you get to talk to a friendly person who can answer your questions! He said they do work on Promasters and could repair it while I wait. I went in and they were able to repair my tire leak in less than 30 minutes. Rod showed me the nail in the tire that was causing the leak. In addition to repairing the tire, he also topped off the air in all the tires and even replaced 2 missing tire valve caps. Plus he was friendly too! I went to multiple car shops to get my tires fixed and was told multiple different things and was given such high prices. I called Bruce's Tire to get a final say, I spoke with a gentleman name Tony. He provided such great customer service and asked me to stop by. I came in immediately and was greeted by him and Juno, Tony walked my vehicle and knew exactly the things my car needed and provided even BETTER customer service ! Tony told me everything about my BMW and went over all the mechanical terms with me. He had a lot of patience. I was told it would take more than 2-3 days for my tire to come in from the other shops, Tony got mine in the very next morning!! Not only did they fix my tire, they did a walk through to see how the car was running. When I came in, I thought I would be waiting hours, since they're so busy. Nope, service was done within 30-40min MAX. Their entire team made me feel so comfortable and didn't make me feel like I was jipped for my coins since I'm a woman. The Change oil notification kept coming up, even after they change the oil. The car kept doing the same thing we originally came in there for. I had an issue with my tire pressure. I took it to the dealership and they didn't bother to take a look at the tire, they just filled it up with air and reset the tire pressure sensor. I still had the problem and someone suggested to take the car to Bruce's. I went in and they were able to take a look at the tire and found a huge nail in it.
