To start I waited 3 hrs for service then they refused to tow the car because they said AAA wouldn't cover because it's not emergency and at a tow yard and just left, never even gave me the option to pay cash. The truth is they didn't want to provide service because they don't want a bad survey because they took so long, no service rendered no survey. Little do they know I work for AAA and this is not how we treat our members. This will get to the highest person in my company that will listen. On 7/16/2020, a flatbed tow truck from this company came and parked in front of my house on Kingsford Street, for over 5 minutes, idling and making enough noise that I could not work. My friend had a flat and wanted AAA to change it for the spare. The spare had only 20 psi in it. The Freeway technician said 20 psi was fine. I read the sticker on the rim and it said to inflate the spare to 60 psi. (https://tinyurl.com/uhot2mq) I asked the tech to inflate the spare tire pressure to at least 50 psi. He only inflated it to 35 psi and told my friend he was good to go. AAA Haaaaaaaaaa!! What a joke!! I came out to my car thinking I was getting a jump start on heading into work early for once! To my dismay, flat tire! I called AAA and they hooked me up with Freeway Towing. I was given an arrival time by AAA of 7:25 AM. Around 7:08 I get a phone call. Hein ( please forgive me if I misspelled your name, I only got a brief look at it and I thought it was on your business card!) had already arrived! Not only did he put on my spare tire, but he checked the air in my other tires and flipped my trunk mat over so that the deflated Tire would not get my trunk mat dirty! I needed a trailer to be moved 14 miles due to my vehicle pulling it overheating. I contacted AAA, they contacted Freeway Tow to take my trailer 14 miles. Fwy Tow gave me the run around for 4 hours as I was on the side of the 14 Fwy, being unsafe with my 7 year old in the truck with me. I'm sorry but this business deserves no star. I have to warn everyone about here. This is going to be a lengthy one, I apologize in advance. Flashback a few years ago, I didn't write about them because we were believed in good faith about them. After last week's incident, they need to change for the better so no one else would get hurt or swindled. I called my bf to find out he had a flat in alhambra. He mentioned to me not to worry since we had AAA. He could not get his spare tire for some reason so we just had it towed. The man remembered him and had previously towed his car before. Who can forget a candy purple sports car with rims, body kit and wing? My bf requested two wood blocks, since his car was lowered. They starched it on the way up but my bf continued and look it as an error. He should have stopped him then and there. On the way back, they discovered the car was missing. Yes missing from the tow truck that picked him up. Puzzeled, they found out it was dropped in the freeway. Freeway? The guy panicked and tried to calm the situation to my bf. They promised my bf, they would take care of it. Make it brands new again and pretend like it didn't happen. My bf went back to the shop and saw it was a family business. We love to support small businesses so he figured, he can just left them fix it. My bf loves the car, probably more then me. Lol. He spent alot of time and money to perfect it. The car average with all his fixings about $20,000 to $25,000. He's a perfectionist and picky with the work so everything on the car was spot on. They told him to give them a few weeks and it would be perfect again. How was my bf going to go around if he didn't have a car for a few weeks? After going back and forth, they agreed to get a rental car for him. After three weeks, they called repeatedly to return it. They were saying it was too much and they could not spend that much. So when we gave it back, we asked how much longer for the car. They promised only a few more weeks left, since some parts were hard to find. My bf cared more about the work then the time so he agreed. But what about a car? They bought a old beat of car with a slip and told him to temporarily use it. Hesitant but he took it, thinking my car would be back soon. "Just a little bit more, my car would be back soon" as he told me. I was unaware of the ordeal he had, he didn't want to worry me. When I saw the beat up car, he told me what happened. I was in complete silence and angered for the behavior of the towing company. I knew how much the car meant to him, his pride possession. Completely shocked and uneasy with the situation because it's been over two months now. Each time he contacted they, they would not answer and goes to machine. He left messages hoping they would call him back with news about his car. Another few weeks passed, when they did answer, they were yelling at him for not calling. We were so upset, we only wanted the car and request to see how it was. It was over 4 months and we have not seen the progess yet. We threaten them to call AAA if we could not see the car. They quickly offered next week after they were done with it. When we finally saw the car, a few of us went to thoroughly check out the work. The mom was there and trying to sweet talk me. Flattered but we were here for business. She was the only one helpful and tried to take care of the situation but I am assuming her sons did not want her involved. The star is for her efforts to move it forawrd. Aftee seeing missing wires, rims, lights and hood with flaws, we told them it was unacceptable for the work it still needs. They wanted us to take it as is since most of the work was done but My bfs rims with customized paint was over $2000 alone, how can we just take it as is? We brought up, they agreed on how it was ands not how they wanted it. They agreed to continue after we threaten to call AAA one more time. Another few weeks had gone by and it was now close to 6 months without a car. The when we got it back was never the same, within that year, and stopped working. Okay now for last week...I had a flat after my acupuncture in Monterey park, it didn't occur to me it was thier area. I called at 8:40pm to AAA, told them i had a flat. Even though we have the key, "it was strapped and we can not open it. If you can please bring a truck with a power gun to take out the tire." They assured they would and told me it was "freeway towing is coming to get you. " oh no I told them they dropped my bf's car, please send someone else. They came a twice within an hour & half and no power gun. They write to AAA claiming false information about what I wanted. Waiting for AAA so I can formally put it in paper.** I had to shorten this half since it it was way too long. Waited over 2 hours in the cold while sick for a flat. Instead of a fast fix, I was stranded there pass 11pm. read more

NEVER EVER USE THIS COMPANY! These guys are liars. My car run out of battery. Since my friend had AAA, he called AAA for me to jump start the car and Lima/Juan came. I only wanted to jump start the car, and they kept trying to sell me the battery. I told them I do not want battery and since I am not a AAA member it would be difficult for me to get warranty. they assured me AAA always honors the warranty even if I am not a member. So now the battery died again (yea, after less than a year!) and I called AAA, exactly as I thought , they told me I have to be a member to get the warranty. Freeway Towing deserve ZERO stars. Locked my keys in my Chevy Astro van. I called AAA and Freeway Towing showed up. While trying to open the vehicle, the guy scratched the paint, bent the B-pillar on the door, and damaged the rubber weather stripping. I told him he was damaging the car, so he said I was "too hard to work with" and he got into his truck and sped away leaving me stranded again. I just wanted him to do the job correctly... so I guess doing the job right is "too hard" for Freeway Towing. Another towing company showed up and did the job fast and correctly without damaging the vehicle. I am beyond pissed with Freeway Towing and will be sure to have them pay for the repair of the damages. read more

So my girls car got stolen and the police department told us we'd only have to pay for storage fees at the tow yard. When we got there they charged us for towing and 2 days. I mean seriously one day is 24 hours the car was towed at 11:30 at night and we picked it up the next day at 4:30pm. The guy got argumentive when all we wanted where some answers. The owner automatically started yelling at us. Blaming us how we should not tell him how to run his business. Kept going back to his policy which clearly isn't posted obviously. I'm sorry but when you yell at 2 business owners and think your better than the 2 us you shouldn't be running a business. NO RESPECT. BAD BUSINESS etiquette. Unprofessional owner.
