Horrible customer service my husband and I went for our first time today to use the dump service and I have never dealt with such classless rude remarks from employees before. First encounter with the male working the counter to pay for the service was the only nice interaction we had and that's probably because we were paying. Second jerk we encountered yelled over three rude remarks as follows "do you know what you're doing?" "Got your own hose?" "Better not make a mess!" I am sorry but excuse me. How rude can you be! Third guy ran over like we were stealing their priceless gold yelling "Hey! You need to pay first!!" To which he responded we did already and he continued to keep his rude tone and yelled "Give me your receipt first next time before hooking up!" Seriously people learn some customer service if you are being paid to work at an establishment. Mind you again this was our first and last time but the first guy never advised of any second step or person to hand our receipt to. Learn some manners and how to talk to paying customers. Top-Notch Service Department. Highly recommended. First time, bringing my tandem axle boat trailer in for routine maintenance, specifically "repacking grease in the wheel bearings". Very impressed with service manager Derry and his technician Fred. Both appeared to be very knowledgeable, experienced and competent in their jobs. Despite a busy schedule, Derry got me in and out quickly. Only 1 day in the shop. On their own initiative, they gave the trailer chassis a thorough inspection, found a couple of loose nuts and corrected the issues, thereby preventing me from potentially having problems on the road. Bought bearings from a salesman that basically acted like he was doing me a favor even looking for them. Said we don't carry golf cart bearings. After matching them up after a bunch of tries I bought them for a hefty price of about $65 including races. Never mentioned anything about them being non returnable. Found out they were the wrong size and tried to take them back. Was refused and shown the sign that says "all bearing non returnable". The one the salesman should have shown me while I was buying them. Never left the bag they came in accept to match them up. Obviously were clean as they were still brand new. I agree with so many others. TERRIBLE RUDE CUSTOMER SERVICE! We've been there in the past "before Covid" and always had great service. We rushed to get there to dump our RV and the traffic was terrible. We were told the dump station closed at 3:30, it was 3:45. I literally begged two of the old farts in there to please let us dump our trailer. They said the gate was locked and only the guys in that area could unlock it. I asked if they were still there. They said yes but they told me they would not open the gate. They told us we would need to drive around a half hour away to Champagne Lakes RV Resort, which we did. They were the NICEST PEOPLE EVER. We will no longer go to Freeway, they need to give all of their employees a workshop on "customer service e skills" (including the owner). I had a vet appointment in Temecula for my alpacas and Jeremiah in the parts department was extremely helpful. The breakaway system on our horse trailer was engaged and I did not know why. I spoke to him on the phone and he talked me through the system and we determined that we were missing a breakaway switch lanyard. He placed the part at the front desk with my name I drove over and picked it up. It was such a wonderful experience. there was no hassle about you need to bring your trailer in so we can look at it. He was willing to share his knowledge in order for me to fix the trailer and make our that appointment on time. Sometimes what you see is what you get! Take a look at the outside of this place and you'll find the inside is just as amazing to look at. Definitely established in the late 70's and not a single upgrade or even upkeep since then. But hey you all know based on my reviews I'm an optimist so..........I made an appt to get our RV serviced. The slide wasn't working and the mobile RV guy recommended this place as they have the equipment to fix it. Alrighty then we are set! (Insert Dracula cackle here). Well just to get an appt was over a month wait, discouraging but they were recommended and we are Covid quarantining so what else do we have to do but sit around and wait. Waited over a month to get in and upon arrival the guy in service said "oh I can't take that right now, all my guys quit and I'm swamped" well that would have been nice to know before we made the trek from Valley Center to Escondido holding a 2x4 in between the slide and the wall to secure it while standing and trying not to fall over. Awesome just awesome! So my husband asked when they could get to it because our trek with this thing is not easy. Guy says a couple weeks. Well what's the difference if it sits at our house or here for a couple weeks. What's two more at this point? Left our RV and went on our way with fingers crossed this guy can fix it in a timely manner. Well fast forward ahead and it's been 9 weeks and we are finally picking up our RV and taking it to another shop! We called at 3 weeks and he said oh next week, and then the next week we called and he pushed us off another week. You see the trend? Finally I get on the phone. Now you know it's business when the wife starts calling and getting serious. Funny how with a little stern words it went from 1 week to even look at it to a couple days. Of course I followed up with a call a couple days later and low and behold the asshat has the nerve to say he looked at it and can't fix it. WTF!!!!!!! We've now waited 13 weeks for this guy to even look at our RV and he says he can't fix it? Fine fine fine, we will take our business elsewhere. When we picked up the RV to take it somewhere else (which btw got us in in 3 days and said they will have a diagnosis in a couple days and hopefully about a week to fix) we asked what was wrong with it and the guys said, "yeah I don't know" wow not even a hint as to what was wrong? DO NOT GO here for SERVICE!!!!! I don't believed they even looked at our coach at this point. Lazy, don't call back, completely rude, and obviously don't know how to run a business. read more

So I made a purchase back in July for an emergency escape patch that I needed a new one for. I have a Ford chassis Thor fourwinds fun mover. (Think toyhauler with a chassis. So the hatch on my fun mover is a diamond plated hinged roof hatch not the typical plastic skylight looking one. I spent $100 on that. I ended up returning it about a week later figuring that I didn't need this kind and for some reason was given a yellow receipt paper store credit thing. I switched bank accounts so my car that I paid with no longer was gonna be able to get the money back on it. Still don't know why I couldn't got cash for it it was a debit card. Anyway a lot happened and me personally I can't hold on to receipts to save my life I just can't especially moving in full-time to my RV for the first time, it's definitely an organization adjustment to say the least. I have the purchase on my bank account that I was able to pull up from Bank of America letting me log into my old account. How do you exact day exact time and amount that I purchased and I was told that since I don't have the receipt yellow yellow paper thing that I got they couldn't honor that they could look that up. They owe me $100 that they got a pocket for me I have all the evidence needed to prove that I bought it from them, someone who's my age about in there early 20's (they don't typically shop for or own Rv's or need rv gear) The fact that it's the same three or four employees that have worked there for like 15+ years, and the fact that the escape patch is that they sell I was told by one of the employees they don't sell very often and it's a rarity which I was assured wasn't the case when I went to try to return get my money back by the same employee I purchased the escape hatch from. I knew he remembered me for a fact I know he did because I remembered him super easily and I've worked in the food industry and bar industry for 12 years and you can remember faces to an extent especially because I had left my card that day had to call them to come pick it up again the next day so there was an incident to remember me by. You guys owe me $100, with Covid and everything happening it's not money that I can really just afford to give to you guys because I'm generous sorry a lot going on financially for everybody it's just messed up that you have to keep it for yourself read more

I had to temporarily move into my RV and found it fit my needs quite well so I made it semi permanent. The only bummer was having to dump my tank every week. This chore was only made worse by the unfriendly and unhelpful folks behind the counter. I was a novice to dumping tanks at first which worked out quite well for me because no matter how much of a mess I made, IE spillage and such, they never got off their rears to supervise the dump station. C-ya!!! No, I'm kidding. I always cleaned up my messes. But I could have just as easily not and they wouldn't have cared at all. They never came out, not even once. read more

Being one of the only RV parts stores in the area I have often found myself forced to go here although I've always dreaded it and done everything I can to avoid it. I mean, look at the store. Half of the products on the shelves are covered in a ¼ inch of dust. There is one gentleman there who is always extremely helpful and friendly and is the only reason I didn't stop going there long ago. Otherwise, I always shudder at the thought of having to deal with anyone there. Usually you feel like a major inconvenience just walking in the front door - that is if anyone will even acknowledge you. Most people I know feel the same way. However, I recently had a phone experience with a woman who, much to my shock and horror, turned out to be the manager. I had called in search of a very common, easy to find part and simply wanted to know which of the two part numbers I had was the correct one for the model I had. After about 10 minutes of a very unpleasant conversation turning into an actual argument and her giving me every part number except the two I knew to be correct, being told they clearly didn't make that part any more, I obviously didn't even know the model number of the appliance (the label is right on it) and I basically had no idea what I was doing - she hung up on me. I waited a few minutes and called back, hoping to reach someone else, but unfortunately she answered. It was when I asked to speak to the manager that she, Tammy, informed me she's the manager. I was floored. When I mentioned the part about her hanging up on me, she said "Oh, did I hang up on you? I didn't realize that (sarcastically). I had customers standing in front of me." I do not know how they manage to stay in business with a store manager having an attitude like that. She clearly doesn't know her business as well as she should either. I then called the other RV parts dealer in town and gave them the exact same information I'd given her. In less than two minutes I was told the exact part number (one of the two I'd given them), that they had it in stock and the price. It was a short, pleasant and productive conversation. I informed Tammy that although I've tolerated quite a bit from that store for some time, she finally lost my business and the business of everyone I know. I recommend you make the effort to utilize the services of a store that actually values you as a customer. read more

I brought my pop-up trailer down here for bearing cleaning and repacking with grease, they told me they could get it done in the morning. Since I lived quite a ways away I said that I would wait for it. The morning came and went and the trailer just sat with no activity around it. They had several workers rambling around but seems no one was in a hurry. After lunch, one of the workers finally moved my tailer closer to the garage and started working it. I watched and they did a good job of cleaning and then packing. All by hand. Good work was done but it was way slower than I realized it was going to be. After explaining which problem spots I wanted fixed, they took one cursory look at my old trailer and said it "wasn't worth it". They assumed that I wasn't able to spend the money it needed to make it serviceable. So, I have taken my business elsewhere. I found a very nice guy in Valley Center willing to do the work needed.
