Love that they keep creamers and sugar on the table, but they also offer syrups if you want to sweeten things up (for a small fee). I added American cheese to my bowl -- next time I'll ask for grated so it blends better. We grabbed a porch table with a view of the trees and a peek at A1A. This is a little roadside café that's very clean and inviting. I've driven past many times and decided to stop by and try their breakfast. The entire staff was super friendly, and the environment was very relaxed, outdoorsy, and chill. They are very pet friendly and the service was phenomenal. I had already had my coffee, so I simply ordered the croissant, breakfast sandwich with bacon, egg and cheese. The croissant was light and flaky, and the inside was basically a nice sized omelette with chopped bacon in it. Very tasty. My only concern was the price. It came with just a sandwich, no sides at all and all I had was a cup of tap ice water. Including the tip,, the simple sandwich was just over $20! I think that's a little excessive for a single croissant breakfast sandwich. I will still consider coming back, but I will look more carefully at the prices. Amazing breakfast spot and lunch along A1A in one of the last stretches of old Florida. They did a great job creating cozy vibes and crave-able bites! Came for some brunch on a Sunday morning with my mom and sister. We were visiting and saw this place had good reviews online. They were right! This little restaurant on the side of the road in Hammock was fantastic. The servers were all super friendly. We got the breakfast bowl with sausage, French toast, a pancake, and a Caesar Salad wrap. Vehicles have to park in the easement on a blind curve with traffic going 50+ mph...often from Magnolia Rd to Shady Ln and beyond...making it impossible for residents to see oncoming traffic to enter A1A safely and dangerous for patrons leaving the restaurant. read more

Incredible! A dual threat - breakfast or lunch. Let me summarize my review, just go to Rodie's ASAP! This is the restaurant you want to visit multiple times each week. I tried to convince them to open a location in Maryland, unfortunately, I think they are committed to Florida. The staff is friendly, accommodating, and offers helpful recommendations. The owner, Randy, is so welcoming and takes pride in his restaurant. We were visiting the area and dined at Rosie's twice in 5-days. We tried a third time buyer had a large party and had a flight to catch so we had to scoot. I mention this because our family wanted Rosie's to be their last meal in Florida - and we ate at some great spots. The whole menu is worth trying. In non rank order, excellent Reuben (my son says the best), incredible corned beef hash, delicious pancakes and breakfast sandwiches, and my favorite, the grouper sandwich. We are in town on vacation and were looking for a quick and easy morning place. Turns out this is THE BEST breakfast place I've ever been too. We brought 9 people and got 9 different things. Each and every one was a hitter. Sweet and Crunchy French toast, BEST IVE EVER HAD. Corned beef hash, never had anything like it. So flavorful and so light. Sausage gravy, just put it on everything! We went to the Washington Oaks State Park and were looking for a lunch spot afterwards. We feel like we hit the jackpot. I don't write reviews quickly. I tend to take the time to reflect on my experience before I write. I choose my words carefully, and try not to be negative. With that said, my experience at Roadie's was a bit of a head scratcher. While the food was amazing, the service was not. I felt like an outsider while I was there - like I wasn't welcome. It was odd and uncomfortable. I can only hope that someone from Roadie's reads this and makes some changes - good food doesn't make up for crummy service. Let's start from the beginning. My party of two arrived around 11:40am on 9/23/22. An older gentleman greeted us, and simply asked if we wanted to dine inside or out. Sadly, no warm welcome or enthusiasm from him about us being there. We went inside and sat down - the restaurant was cute, quaint, and very clean. Loved the decor! Our server greeted us and took our order for two coffees - she didn't introduce herself and didn't smile. We indicated it was our first time in, and needed a few minutes. She came back rather quickly, so we went ahead and ordered - we were definitely feeling some pressure, which was odd since it wasn't busy at all. We ordered a Canadian ham and mushroom quiche, and a build your own omelette with cheese, bacon, spinach, onion, and mushrooms. The food came out quickly, and was hot and delicious! The potatoes that came with the omelette were the best breakfast potatoes I have EVER had. Period. BEFORE WE EVEN FINISHED OUR MEAL, the server was at our table with a machine to take our payment. We had to STOP EATING and pay her. Nothing says "get the heck out of here" more than a server wanting to be paid AND TIPPED while you're still eating! I was so mind-blown, I couldn't even react. It wasn't like - here's your tab, pay when your done. It was like "stop enjoying your meal and pay me!" Totally unacceptable! On a side note, I noticed other customers being treated better - not sure if they were regulars, family, or friends, but they were chatting and laughing with the staff while we were there. Why were we treated differently? Roadie's - I spent almost $40 on breakfast, and was treated this way. You have great food! This could have easily been a 5-star review if your staff smiled, and acted like my business mattered. I want to come back.....but why should I? read more
