I'm 5'6 with an athletic build. So I definitely need someone very strong to tear up my knots! I searched for Cupping and Fremont Day Spa came up. Everyone there were extremely friendly! I went in for a 90 minute massage with cupping. I got Tina who gave one of the best massages I've ever had! She stood on my back and with her bare hands tore through all my knots in my shoulders. Worked through the legs, arms, chest, head... ok Then the cupping came. After the cups were on, she massaged my head and my legs more (she already did that during the 90min massage). Most places put the cups on your back and will leave; returning in 10-15 minutes. Tina started monitoring how effective the cups were. She added more suction as needed and moved the cups around to target tight areas. I've found a great local place to take care of my back! read more

This is my number one spot to get a massage in Fremont. There's only two things holding it back from me giving it a five star one is I would love the tables to be heated maybe a heating pad underneath it and the second would be thicker walls/soundproof walls just because you can always hear people come in or walk down the hallway but again those two items aren't that big of a deal because it's about the massage and how I feel anybody I've gotten a massage from has been amazing and I always feel completely relaxed afterwards read more

Absolutely amazing! Me and my hubbz went here for our couples massage and facial scrub treatment. The pressure of the massage was just so good, just right! Very relaxing. :) Now I've gone to other massage places that did almost the same style technique of massaging the body but those places were really deep into massaging to the point where I felt like I was gonna break. Even after I told them to go softer, they didn't listen. Those masseuse really put in a sweat. Imagine that, haha that's how hard it was and I didn't like it lol. I bought a Groupon a while back to try out it out a local massage option, and I was prepared for it to be an expanded foot massage but was pleasantly surprised. This place is not a fancy spa, a little dark for my taste, but everything seemed clean. When I checked in, I was asked if I wanted to upgrade but I wanted to just try the 60 minute massage & reflexology I paid for. I really enjoyed the massage Tina gave me. Using oils and hot towels, she worked out the knots in my back. I left feeling so good and wished I had extended it. Sorry to break lucky number 88 (sorry, Asian joke) as this will be Fremont Day Spa's 89th Yelp review, which is actually perfect, because we spent $89 using a Groupon for a 60-minute hot stone couple's massage (*ba dum tss*). The receptionist gave us the choice between the couple's room or separate rooms. We opted for the couple's room, which might not have been the best choice as it was right next to the hallway. During the massage, you could hear people walking up and down the hallway and the front desk receptionist talking. Overall, though, it was quite the relaxing ambiance with dim lighting and tranquil music playing in the background. How their hot stone massage works: Basically, strip down to your underwear (ladies, no bras), enjoy a full body oil massage and prepare to get weighed down and massaged by hot stones (in a good way). This was my first hot stone massage, so I was worried that the stones would be too hot. Just let them know if the stones are too hot or if they need to adjust their massage pressure (they wont know unless you tell them!). My masseuse was really good about removing the stones if they were too hot and adjusting the massage pressure. Overall, it was a relaxing experience. Don't forget to tip 15-20% if you enjoyed their services. I can't wait to try their spa combos in the future! Reading other Yelp reviews and looking at their website, it looks like you can choose from a selection of 2 out of 6 services for the price of $65 (but call them to double check the price!). Got a deal from groupon ( $169 for two)last week and decided to make an appointment for me and hubby today.. it includes 30min facial, body scrub and an hr long full body massage. not bad.. :) Our appointment was at 4pm.. Got there on time.. receptionist greeted us with a warm welcome and asked us to seat and wait for a few mins. The receptionist was nice enough to inform us that they need to clean up the room first from previous customer and offered us some hot tea.. the groupon we got was not a couples spa package, and they were great in accomosating us by having to share the same room.sweet..so that was a plus. Room-- very clean,smells good, and music was relaxing... Facial -- my skin is extra sensitive but the products they used seems to be light and not harsh so i did not get any breakouts and no skin irritations. body scryb and milk hydration -- a little awkward. the entire procedure was held at their bathroom. They have this big, tall like tub (waist level) and it is elevated so you can lay there while they scrub your whole body, to simply describe the experience: felt like someone is giving you a sponge bath.. lol nothin really special. massage - just ok for me. did not hate it, but ive had better.. overall, i will come back to this spa but will prolly need to skip the body scrub part and will only do so if they have specials/promo... read more

This place is horrible. I called 5 hours ahead of time and scheduled a 90 min couples massage. All was good so far. Once we got there, we were lead into the massage room, changed and laid on the tables. Then we waited... and waited and waited for 30 minutes before the other masseuse arrived "remember, we called 5 hours a head of time to schedule the appointment" Then this 70 year old lady came in and tried her best to massage me... I'm not a small guy 5'10 220lbs. This lady put in work. However, she only did one side of my back. Then she did my right leg. Worked the same arm 3 times and skipped the other side all together. Don't get me wrong, I'm not blaming the 70 year lady that weighs 90lbs soaken wet but come on!!! Worse massage ever. I did tip tho, I felt bad for the lady but will never go there again. Also, they don't offer what the website says... they claim to offer: deep tissue, Swedish, hot stone, and other stuff. All they asked when they came in was "soft or hard". Blew my mind !!! read more

I've been here for a couples massage, it was okay. It is the only reason why Im giving an extra star. This review will be for their facials. I bought a Groupon for 4 facial treatments. The check in process was confusing and I still had to pay an extra $45 each time I came in - had to be in cash? My vouchers were hand written on a scratch paper and I had to remember to bring them in each time. Scheduling was horrific because the aesthetician would have to focus on multiple clients. Wow I can't believe it's this bad here! I'm so disappointed. Not an option for the no star grading. But the one star goes to the nail techs, that aren't at fault for the manager having this place in the condition that it is in. I've been looking for a nice nail salon near me because the one I usually go to is kinda far from me. When I say nice I mean clean and organized, what I consider he mandatory minimum. After I purchased a groupon to this place and read the great reviews on yelp, I thought I'd be safe. The pictures of this place are completely deceiving. All pictures online are nothing like what it looks like in person. I was drawn to the cleanliness and what I got was complete opposite. As you will see in the pictures, there were nail clippings in the bowl where the nail tech wanted me to put my feet in. I asked for a liner the host that walked me in said they didn't have that option. I was about to walk out, but asked the nail tech if they had some and she said yes. I opted out of getting my cuticles cut or nails trimmed because the equipment didn't look very sanitary either, even though it came out of a liner. Oh dear, what did I get myself into, I'm so scared!! I hope to God I don't get an infection. The only reason I didn't leave was because my nail tech Emily was so sweet and kept apologizing. I told her it wasn't her fault, that it was the owners for having such a dirty, unorganized and misleading business. So I did whatever everyone does and look at reviews. By the reviews I was 50% yes going and 50% no going. I decided to try since it's l close to home and the prices look good and typically it's the older not so nice massage spas that really hit the nail on the head. In specific I called and the lady was very helpful she spoke very little English but was able to answer my questions and get me in the same night. I show up and they are so sweet the parking is in the back it is a little weird especially if you go later in the night for a massage maybe go with someone. However I got to my appointment and was helped right away. I forgot the name of the lady who gave me a massage but it was the best massage I had in a really long time. I'm not all for decor I get it that the place is not aesthetically pleasing but to me the work and what you're getting done matters the most. And I feel like a brand new person. You guys when I tell you that this woman worked every single knot through until it was gone, I've never wanted hard pressure massages with elbows and arms until her. I didn't ask for a deep tissue massage but I somehow magically got one. I've been dealing with the worst headache for almost a full day now since the massage. Masseuse was 20 mins late. Allowed me to lay there long enough to contemplate just getting up and leaving. Too bad they had me pay ahead of time. Their massages are absolutely not worth the price. I've been here twice in the past 6 months and it astonishes me how badly this place is ran. I have been going to Fremont Day Spa for almost three years now! I go at least once a week or twice if really tired. They are the best in Fremont and very professional which I like. Sophia is my favorite masseuse and in my view she is the best altogether in Fremont area. For folks who deal with major back pain; I would suggest just try once and I can guarantee it will make a huge difference. Day of the massage had to wait 30 minutes past scheduled time in a cold room with most of our clothes off... Massage was interrupted more than 10 times with her leaving to greet customers and answering her phone while giving the massage... note that the foot massage was only for 10 minutes tops... Had the nerve to ask for a larger tip, I laughed and gave a tip which I thought was appropriate for the experience... I have come here for years. I appreciate the flexibility and walk in opportunities. several issues lately. during my last massage the manager or owner not sure which, was the only one there, but was eager to take me as a customer. during my massage she got up 5 x to attend to walks in or calls. she repetitively has pushed me to pay a higher tip even though I always pay 20 %. It is the customer that should be in charge of the tip and should be able to choose "0" if unsatisfied. Today, I brought a new customer in and I paid my tip and waited outside for my friend. she cornered my friend as she was leaving making her feel very uncomfortable asking her for more tip money and even sharing what I paid, stating that was not enough and she should make up for my low tip ( again I did pay 20%) . she was arguing with my friend that the "girls" make very little hourly wage ( well go ahead and pay them more then). completely unprofessional. I had also called to make an appointment since I was bringing in a friend and negotiated a tiny adjustment in the regular price, for her an opportunity to gain a new customer, but when we arrived, she changed the pricing again, even though on her note pad it clearly showed the price we had spoken about just minutes prior over the phone. I feel like reporting them to the Fremont Chamber of Commerce or the BBB. Very pushy and threatening making my friend after a decent massage feeling uncomfortable. read more

It was rather a lot of pain on my end and hard work on the massage therapist because of all the tensions and stress knots I had accumulated past months. Went in the other day because my bf bought me a groupon deal for a massage and choice between facial or body scrub. I got the body scrub. I contacted the owner through yelp, set up my appt. I went in and even though there was a bit of confusion with my appt. I went in right away into the massage room. It's was pretty quaint. I received my massage and body scrub from Amy. For a first time experience, to my surprise I felt very relaxed and comfortable. I left feeling very light and as if I was walking on clouds. Amy's touch was perfect, when there was too much pressure she informers me to let her know and she'll apply less pressure. Despite all the bad reviews this place has, I had a great experience. I called and inquired about the groupon deal, said she'd give me the same price and honestly, I was fine with that. It just cuts out the middle man, makes it easier for both of us. Sidenote: ALOT OF COMPANIES DO THIS. Idk why so many people have their noses up about it. They have to pay for their ads on groupon, so why not keep the ad up and still make sales? Try it the next time you want to buy a groupon, for literally anything, they might even give you a better deal if you offer to pay in cash. This use to be my most favorite SPA place since their package deal is decent and affordable. ($79 for 1hr 30 mins) I usually get the package deal but this time I really wanted a Foot Relaxation by the male DR. As usual, you pay before you get service. Right when I arrived, I got seated into the Foot Relaxation room right away. Then soon was told, my masseuse did not have lunch NOR dinner yet and needs to eat first. So I waited another 15 mins. As the session began, the front staffs did not care that there was customer and proceed to talk VERY LOUDLY in their OUTDOOR VOICE. The whole entire 1 hour foot massage was miserable and not RELAXING at ALL! During the session, customers come in and out (which is understandable and expected) but what I was not expecting is, while my masseuse was massaging me, the customer was allowed in the room TALKING TO MY MASSEUSE WHILE GIVING ME A FOOT MASSAGE. The staffs, have complete no sense of relaxation and privacy. I usually recommend my friends to come here and now that is an instant regret and I will definitely not come back. read more

She may have been sick, because she came in with a mug and may have been drinking tea (in which she would literally slurp every 10 minutes. Or maybe it was because she was hungry, because her stomach was literally growling through out my time there. It was totally distracting!! But whatever, this review is about the massage so let's have at it! I JUST SO HAPPEN TO BE EXTREMELY TICKLISH, and I always forewarn my masseuses about this, and specifically not to touch my feet. Nevertheless, 2 minutes later she's touching my feet and putting me into A NEAR SEIZURE... I requested for med-hard on my back, and as hard as you can on my legs, because my legs so happened to be extremely sore... I didn't get any of that!! Her back massage was like a small child carefully pushing sand from one area to the other as they built a sand castle... She barely spent 30 seconds on each leg where I politely asked to focus on soreness... When she moved my arms, and opened my palm followed with a couple jabs... I was literally fed up!!!! I WAS LIKE, I'M DONE!!!! I asked her to leave so I could put my clothes back on... She said I had more than half an hour left out of 1 hour massage... The owner, Mariza asked me how my massage was, and I let her know that I felt there was an issue with a language barrier because she obviously wasn't able to comprehend requests or direction. I asked her for my change, which was 10 out of the original 50 I gave (because she never gave it right away in the beginning) And she gave me a shocked face asking, "You're not going to tip your masseuse?!" The woman stroke my back up and down with her elbows repeatedly. It's supposed to be a full body massage! I asked her to focus on my shoulder since she did a bad job on rubbing my back with her elbows, then I felt pain on my shoulders the next day for days to come. The sheets looked so dirty and they used some Chinese cream to massage you, i felt itchy after the massage. And the foot massage was gentle taps and strokes. They used the same cream on your feet and body....can you imagine digging into a jar of cream with their fingers on every customer? As for facial, i didn't get one and i'm glad i didn't. That was the most relaxing and just all around peaceful time I've had in quiet a while! I was a little tense when first in there but once she started my body relaxed and she hit EVERY spot and I walked out feeling so tranquil! It started with a Swedish message and ended in a facial. They really make the saying time flies when you're very relaxed come to life! With subtle music and just the calmness of the place makes it the perfect place to unwind for this busy mom of two! I got the couple's massage and facial through Groupon. Marisa was very rough with her massages on my face. It seemed like she was rushing with her facial service. I did not enjoy it at all. In addition, the business was sneaky with adding more facial once you were in the room. My hubby had to pay extra for the Vitamin C and orange peel service. Ye Ye was a wonderful massage therapist. She was using her strength to massage my body. I was glad that she worked on my sciactic pain. I needed a massage since it was long overdue. Ye Ye speaks Mandarin. She speaks limited English. It was also rude of the receptionist to knock on our door two times. We should not be interrupted while we were getting our services. She had a heavy accent. It was tough to understand her. The massage experience could have been so perfect if only the masseuse would leave the phone in the other room. When devoted to the customer, massage was great - but the constant phone calls became distracting. Also, when tipping, rudely disputed the amount offered - said 'I'm worth more'. When I offer a tip, it is based on the service provided, not what may have been. This is the first time I've ever been guilt shamed into increasing a tip offered, which IMHO was a fair amount to start with. Pros:I had my friends join me at the spa for my birthday and everyone had a great experience! We tried a lot of different services and everything was great! We especially loved the rejuvinating facial. Cons: their shower could use a little more attention. They insisted the 30 min head/ 30 min body and at that point I didn't care I just wanted to get started. They made me sign in and then I told them I had a Groupon- she immediately said they are past their limit for groupons for the day. Funny when I wanted to pay out of pocket they had no problem and now I have a Groupon they can't take it today. My friend and I had a massage at this location, my massage was amazing, the young lady was a very petit lady,, and had very strong hands. I tipped my attendant and .. my friend masseuse saw my tip to my masseuse, and she made a comment to my friend...".. why you tip me that ,,, you dont feel good, look at what she got." .. ( as in my massuese) .. I felt that was very brazen and rude .. It was like she was demanding more money as far as a tip...and it was not a small tip... Wanted to like the place... but uuggh! The massage table was dirty (with curly hairs where I was supposed to put my face), the masseuse was awful awful awful... precursor to the facial. I left VERY unrelaxed and very dissatisfied with both services. The receptionist noticed the look on my face, because she actually called me on my cell on the way home to ask how they could improve. She told me she was the owner and that it was okay to talk with her. I've had an awesome experience in this establishment. I went in with my girlfriend and we were accommodated right away. Mariza gave us a couples massage room. The massage therapists here do not speak English fluently, but there are pieces of paper with anatomical figures you can write on so you can tell them which part of your body needs the most attention.
