Based on my previous positive experience, I attempted to place an floral delivery order. I called and spoke with Sarah. The call did not go well and I literally decided not to place my order. This was a simple order for a local delivery in Beverly Hills. I had hoped to order a dozen red roses with a common filler and definitely not babies breath. The original quote was for $109, but once I asked for Limonium, or purple status, or wax flowers to give the arrangement some color, Sarah couldn't accommodate. She began sending me quotes for $269! I asked her if she could call the recipient to verify her location for the delivery and she refused. As for the delivery, I was quoted $15. Then, when I asked that the delivery arrive by 4pm, suddenly, the fee went up to $34.95! Keep in mind that I called at 9:30am, which gave them plenty of time to fill this simple order. The call was so frustrating, that I canceled the order and went with another very cooperative Florist. The entire experience was incredibly disappointing. read more

PET OWNERS BEWARE. Asked for a cat-safe bouquet, specifically asked for a selection of orchids, not only was a given a bouquet with plants that could KILL my cat (namely, eucalyptus, among others-- which isn't dog-safe either), but the bouquet itself had rotted leaves in it. 80 bucks, by the way, for a basic bouquet with rotted leaves that could give my pet seizures. Affirmed three separate times with employees that it was to be cat-safe. Before ordering, while ordering, and at pickup. Unbelievable lack of care when I requested SPECIFIC cat-safe plants by name. They didn't have to do any guesswork at all (ignoring the fact that ALL florists should be aware of generally safe fillers and flowers for pets). Floral and Events by Sammy, which used to be down the street and is now DTLA, knocked this place out of the water. Even the Vons on Fairfax is more attentive. Went back for a refund and they tried to argue with me that eucalyptus isn't toxic... ASPCA and the Pet Poison Helpline say differently. Pictures of the eucalyptus btw. Ruscus too in the BG, which isn't cat-safe either. Their replacement for me, BTW, also had Lily in it. Which is not cat safe. When I called back about the replacement, Sarah lied to me on the phone saying Eucalyptus was "listed as a safe plant" (it is not, I have an image of the sheet they use, which is also inaccurate following ASPCA guidelines). read more

By sheer luck, I came across the French Florist on Pico Blvd., listed on Yelp as one of the top-rated florists, so I felt confident they would deliver on this important occasion. Just a couple days before the grand event, I surfed up to the French Florist website and perused - in AWE - the many gorgeous options. I splurged and got the "Glorious Hues" Hawaiian ginger arrangement along with a box of artisanal chocolates. My sister-in-law hadn't even finished unpacking in her new location, but with a heads-up from me, she was home when the flowers and chocolates were delivered - exactly as specified, in a small unit inside a complex off Orange Grove Blvd. Not only was the delivery timely, but it was deemed "SPECTACULAR" by my sister-in-law. She included a photo of the bouquet, and it looked absolutely identical to the photo of that option on the French Florist website. I was wowed from 3,000 miles away to see this incredible creation commanding the dining table there. My sister-in-law said that after a lovely dinner out, she returned to her unit with family and DEMOLISHED the box of gourmet chocolates I'd included. My experience with this company has been nothing short of a nightmare. They falsely advertised as doing business in my city and state, accepted my payment, and then waited until all local businesses closed to cancel my order, leaving me stranded. Their excuse? A vague promise of a refund in five business days. It gets worse. I tried to reach out for clarity and spoke to a representative who refused to give her name after multiple requests. When I finally connected with a so-called customer service manager, she consistently talked over me, dismissively told me to "take a breath," and feigned concern for my well-being--while clearly downplaying the fact that your company just scammed me out of my money. You had my order for 48 hours before canceling it, and instead of taking responsibility, you seem more interested in concealing details about your representatives and providing no real resolution. It's outrageous that this floral group, which claims to operate nationally, cannot manage service in a city they're prominently featured in on Google. Nor have the want or desire to assist with transferring the order to another florist in there national community If this doesn't set off alarm bells about the legitimacy of this company, I don't know what will. It's clear I won't be smelling any roses here, just the stench of a scam. --- In addition, they did not want to give me the owners name but again that same Google search that placed them number one in the city and state where they don't do business is where I was able to locate the business owners name. I placed the order on Wednesday for same day delivery, Thursday comes and I did not hear anything from my friend so I made 6 calls and spoke with different people, they all had different stories, and they promised to call me back to verify. I tried calling multiple times to confirm, but no one answered, which was very frustrating. Later, I found out from the person who sent them that they had prepared a message video and put a lot of thought into it. It's really disappointing that none of that was communicated properly.
