We made a reservation on Open table before going to the Kravis center for a show. We were seated promptly by a friendly hostess. The outdoor area was a little windy but so lovely! Everything we ate was delicious! The food was hot, prepared with good ingredients and plating was fun! The hasselback potatoes were to die for. Definitely recommend. We will be back!

    Simple but nice cocktail menu.

Cool place in "developing Northwood area". Apparently been there for 4-5 years and somehow related to the Spanish restaurant next door. Seem to have music and dj starting at 10 and onto early hours. Well stocked bar and adequate parking if a bit sketchy. Food excellent and owner/ host as ever very welcoming and gave good advice on wine and menu chooses. Half chicken made in smokehouse(?) excellent with great sauce. Salmon generous and really tasty. Baked Brie with honey just right for simple starter as was the pate. Seems like main kitchen closes at 10 but simpler menu on till 11 when I guess the party gets started.

Had an incredible dinner at French Grill in West Palm Beach! The branzino was perfectly cooked and beautifully presented, and the salmon was just as delicious -- fresh, flavorful, and tender. The cocktails were spot-on (the Negroni especially) and the whole place had such a relaxed, stylish vibe. Great food, great drinks, and great atmosphere -- definitely one of my new favorites in the area!

Romantic patio with lights and bistro tables with a unique vibe in Northwood Village. Spectacular French food with a wonderful selection of meat entrees to include everything from Duck to Steak. We will return soon!

Hidden gem in the neighborhood. We had an excellent meal from appetizers to dessert. It has an outdoor sitting and they're very friendly here. We didn't wait for that long for the food to come out. The pork chop is well seasoned and so is the chicken skewers. The focaccia with Gorgonzola cream is to die for. Will definitely be back!

This is a little gem tucked away in Northwood. We arrived just after they'd open for the evening, so we were greeted and seated promptly. The seating in the restaurant is primarily al fresco and the patio area is cover in astro-turf, potted plants, and other decorations. Both one of the owners and the server were extremely friendly and helpful in explaining their cooking style, the various dishes, and what to expect in terms of wait times. We opted for a grilled mozzarella and tomato stack-style appetizer to start, followed by grilled fish entrees. All the food we ordered was cooked over the wood fired grill, which imparted a pleasant and smoky taste to the dishes. The fish was cooked perfectly and well-complimented by their house sauces. We really enjoyed our meal and are looking forward to dining here again soon. I highly recommend trying the French Grill House.

Awesome restaurant. Very pleasant and informative waiter/bartender. This place is a quiet gem of the West Palm area. I asked for the recipe for the salmon because it was so good. We sat at the Celona because of the heat and had the option for both menus. We will definitely come back another time when in the area.

French Grill House is a hidden gem. Great food. Real cocktails. Amazing staff!! Every time my girlfriend and I come here it is a great time. Definitely worth trying. When friends/family visit in West Palm Beach we make sure that they get to experience it. It's not like any other place in the area. Casual vibe, where locals come.

Sean provides excellent service and he cares for his regulars. It's the best place in Old Northwood, with a great vibe. We and they are lucky to have him here.

In a word, fantastic. Great service and delicious food. Who could ask for anything more? I didn't know anything about the history of the chef/restaurant team before we came, so we weren't here for the cachet. I'd read a short review and the dishes sounded intriguing. We called and left a message on the answering machine (they're only open for dinner) regarding a reservation and headed over. The restaurant is located in the historic northwood section. We were early so easily parked the car on the street nearby. Inside, it is small with a limited number of tables. Outside, they have a large charming garden patio area with a counter/bar and tables. We opted to sit inside as there was only one other couple dining there -- and it was a very hot day. We had excellent service -- professional, but personable. And the menu had quite a few choices among which to decide. We started by sharing the grilled avocado appetizer. Perfect that it was two small grilled haas avocado halves filled with chick peas with a tomato "relish" sauce. This was a good starter for us -- creamy avocado with a slight grill taste. For our entree, I chose their whole grilled branzino. Market price was $30 that evening. And for my side (you get a choice of one included), I added grilled asparagus. The whole fish was just the right size and delicious. It was a perfect combo of charred flavor on the outside and tender fish inside. I've eaten whole fish many times, so no problem navigating. All that was left in the end was the skeleton (bones)! You also get a choice of a sauce/butter and I selected the Moroccan one. I also really liked the grilled asparagus which I had not been sure would be good grilled, but was proved wrong. My husband got their "steak of the day" -- which was flank steak when we went. Oh my, it was very good. He had a hasselback potato for his side -- the potato is sliced almost all the way through -- and topped with butter and scallions. He actually had a portion of each to take home (for his breakfast with eggs the next day). Can't wait to come back -- have my eye on their grilled Caesar salad and maybe one of their steaks? The ribeye? So happy we decided to try them. I think we've found our new favorite in this area.

Their sprats appetizer was so lovely and my favorite part of this meal. I got the steak of the day as my entree which was flank steak with the grilled Caesar salad. The steak was great, but felt the salad had too much dressing on it. Overall, not bad at all, French Grill House. The decor inside was also beautiful

I have been wanting to try this restaurant on recommendations from others and it did not disappoint. It is located on a sleepy street that West Palm is trying to revitalize but the street just doesn't get the traffic. Once inside, you feel like you are transported to more of funky bohemian place and time. The decor and lighting are perfect. We started with the pate and tapenade. My dining companions each had the duck and I had the hangar steak. We each had the potato which is served hassleback style. I hear their desserts are amazing but I am trying to cut back on too many sweets so we opted out. You can tell the owners truly care and are invested in their craft.

I absolutely love this place as well as the owners. Their rib eyes, pork chops are delicious. I highly recommend their fish dip. And don't forget get to try their desserts. My husband always gets the fish. Great service, food & drinks. The ambiance outside at night is absolutely perfect. Highly recommend.

The pre-mix menu made ordering super easy, as we started with a shrimp cocktail and, for the main, a lobster linguini. The menu also included a delicious dessert (raspberry sorbet) for $68. The service was excellent, and the food was actually quite good. But it's really the atmosphere that's just so interesting. From an aesthetic standpoint, it's really a very pleasing environment. Sadly, all subsequent visits since the first have gone downhill. So perhaps I just got more than lucky on that first occasion. The sushi in particular has been "fishy". So I stopped ordering it, but on the last try, they actually argued with me before taking it back. No apology mind you. While they were fighting with me, I asked, "why don't you taste it?". Which resulted in a lecture series on how the chef is the owner and how he prepares everything himself. So I logically asked to speak to him because you could smell it from at least a few inches away and it wasn't fresh or at least wasn't good. And of course they let me know that he's not working. So what was that exercise about exactly lol? On my last and final visit, I got stuck in some crazy Florida storm prior to walking in the door. The streets were literally getting flooded. Anyone on the road at that moment knows what I'm talking about. The restaurant had just opened and there was not a person inside nor do I think anyone would enter the restaurant because to get to it, they would have had to walk through the parking lot and by the time they made it to the door, they would be soaking wet (as I was). Meanwhile, I did not want to drive in that flood and so just decided to order food / drinks and wait it out. So without a single person in a restaurant, other than staff, and with sympathetic glances from the hostess and the bartender that I had survived the storm to get into the restaurant relatively dry-ish, and just grateful to be anywhere and not outside, the manager decided to come over and throw me out because I had a graphic on my T-shirt. Ironically, it was my own design, having worked in fashion for years. Of course, he could've made an exception since there was a massive storm outside, and no customers inside, but no, he made me go back out into the rain and now by the time I hit my car, I was completely soaking wet drenched, which also drenched my car. So let me just say a giant FU to that Manager whoever the hell you are dude yeah and you won't be getting my business ever again. I predict this place goes the way of the dodo and not the flamingo. It will take time, but it will happen.

I'm not here to diminish anyone else's experience, but rather to share my own honestly and constructively. Situations like this should serve as a learning opportunity for upper-level management, especially when the level of service and leadership falls below even basic expectations. We ordered a filet mignon that lacked the tenderness I would expect from a restaurant claiming this caliber of dining. We also ordered the salmon, which unfortunately had that unmistakable metallic, pungent flavor that immediately signals the fish is not fresh and should not be consumed further. We brought the issue to the attention of the manager, who acknowledged it initially but never returned to follow up. To their credit, the salmon was removed from the bill and an alternative dish was offered. However, the overall experience still fell far short of what should be expected at this price point and reputation level. What disappointed me most was not simply the food itself, but the complete lack of genuine hospitality and ownership from management. Strong restaurants understand that service recovery matters just as much as the meal. There's a reason establishments like The Capital Grille or Flagler Steakhouse have earned reputations for professionalism and customer care. Sometimes I genuinely think managers at places like this should spend time training in environments where hospitality is treated as an art form rather than an inconvenience. The following day, I was still disappointed enough to write this review. At a certain point, guests should not have to spend over $200 while simultaneously educating a restaurant on how to deliver proper service and quality control. With an abundance of superior restaurants nearby, this is not a place I would return to, even if offered a complimentary meal. Don't chance it.

I decided to give this place a second chance on April 18, 2026, with an 8:30 PM reservation, and unfortunately, it was just as bad--if not worse--than my first visit. The service was exceptionally poor. Our waiter, Michael, set the tone early, and not in a good way. It took over an hour just to receive our appetizers, and drink refills required tracking down other staff members. What stood out most was the complete lack of attentiveness--Michael never once checked in on our table throughout the evening. The delay was so excessive that I was able to leave the restaurant, walk across the street, purchase a new set of clothes for my daughter, return, and have her change--all before our main course even arrived. To be clear, this wasn't out of convenience--it was out of necessity. The restaurant was so excessively hot that she was visibly uncomfortable and overheating. To make matters worse, water was served at room temperature in what felt like a furnace of a dining room. We actually had to ask multiple times--and essentially beg--just to get ice brought to the table. That alone speaks volumes about the level of awareness and care. Dining out is supposed to be a relaxing, enjoyable experience--especially after an evening out--but this was anything but. The food itself was underwhelming at best: mediocre, forgettable, and certainly not worth the wait. What was most disappointing, however, was the apparent inconsistency in service. From my observation, certain tables--specifically white families--received noticeably more attention and care, while others, including Hispanic, Asian, and African-American patrons, were largely overlooked. As part of an interracial family, this was both disheartening and unacceptable to witness. I've had great experiences at other locations of this restaurant, which makes this visit even more frustrating. This location, however, falls far below standard. To the management and staff: you're in a high-traffic area where guests come to unwind and enjoy their time. This experience did the exact opposite. One star--and that's only because it was possible to secure a reservation. Now I understand why availability wasn't an issue. TL;DR: Excessive heat, inattentive service, long wait times, mediocre food, and a deeply disappointing overall experience. I will not be returning.

We were seated, and our waitress was very pleasant in explaining the menu and offering to get us drinks. We ordered a series of appetizers and several steaks with sides to split amongst four people. We had already investigated the wine list and knew the two wines that we were going to order. Neither of them cheap options, but at least they were on the menu. An extraordinary Pinot Noir and an American Granache blend. As the appetizers came out, we doubled up on one of them and asked for another order. They said that they would bring it right away. This in fact did not happen as the appetizer arrived at the same time as the main course meats. The problem here was that as we went through the appetizer, our meat on the table already pre-cut was getting cold. In addition to this, the steak sauces that were ordered and the vegetables that were also ordered to accompany the meats, did not come at the same time. As a matter of fact, the side vegetable never came. We were in a little bit of a hurry at the end of the meal because we had a train to catch. They were very efficient and offering us a assortment of desserts to make up for the lack of bringing the vegetables. The issue here is, if you are on a protein, vegetable diet, compensating you with a plate full of sweets is not appropriate. If you're like me, I came to this restaurant to eat meat, not to be filled up at the end of the meal with ice cream and cake cakes. I understand that this is a courtesy to show concern on the part of the restaurant management , however, it's disappointing. All of this being said, we must say that the quality of the meat was extraordinary. It's a shame it got cold, and the desired side dishes did not work out. In summary, I would still recommend this restaurant. There are small details that you have to be aware of so you can be on top of the service staff to make sure it doesn't happen to you. Be clear to them at the beginning that you don't want your meal to come out in stages. Bring us our appetizers all at the same time. If you cannot bring them out at the same time, do not bring them with the main courses. Make sure you are clear with them about what you want as your main courses. Take the plunge, try it. On your terms.

Came here for dinner last weekend. The Flagler steakhouse really impressed me from start to finish!…read more First off, the valet parking was complimentary which I thought was a nice touch. They accepted tips via Zelle. The area downstairs was so beautifully decorated for Christmas with a large tree upon entry. Once we got to the entry point for the steakhouse after getting out of the elevator, there were wreaths, nutcrackers, lights and gorgeous holiday decor! It was extremely festive, warm and inviting. I sat indoors and ordered a few items for dinner. I ordered the Paloma beverage, the wedge salad, the burrata, the mushroom cream steak and macaroni and cheese as a side. Warm bread with butter was brought to the table prior to us placing our order. All items came in a timely fashion. Madison was our server and was EXCELLENT! She was informative, kind and always had a smile on. The steak was cooked medium and tasted incredible. It melted in my mouth! The wedge salad was so fresh. The Mac and cheese was also phenomenal. The burrata was also fantastic. I was shocked at the bill too! I live in Miami so I'm used to overpriced restaurants. It was extremely affordable for the amount of food that was ordered. 10/10! A must if you're in the palm beach area.
