The restaurant boasts a stunning view of the water, creating a picturesque backdrop that enhances the dining experience especially from the bar. The ambiance is undeniably beautiful and the service is commendable. The staff is friendly and accommodating, exemplifying excellent customer service. However, the food left much to be desired. The crab legs, while presented beautifully, was super bland. The accompanying sauces just wasn't enough. It felt like a missed opportunity as the visual appeal did not translate to taste. The oysters were decent but they didn't offer anything particularly special or memorable. As for the fish dish, it was a bit of a mixed bag. The fish was excessively salty but the creamy mashed potatoes it sat upon helped to balance some of those intense flavors. The Cobb salad, on the other hand, was delightful though it's hard to go wrong with such a classic dish. Overall, the restaurant has a wonderful vibe and excellent service but the culinary offerings fell short for me. I value good customer service, but the quality of the food is equally important, and unfortunately, this experience did not meet my expectations. I might go back with friends to sit at the bar for drinks and a good chat because it's so pretty with the view.

Not mad, just disappointed. First - the service was the best part! Our server, Gabriel, was truly 12/10. Such an amazing server. For the good service I gave an extra star. If I were rating just the food - I would give it 2 stars. We ordered oysters, hanging bacon, hamachi sushi roll, shrimp & lobster cocktail, NY strip, tempera onion rings and Kong pao cauliflower. We had high hopes for a Sunday Funday with great food and everything was disappointing. I wish I could say one item from this list that impressed us. Oysters: size of my palm (and not talking about shell) - I know they can't control the size, but had to note. They require some chewing. Just not the kind of oysters I like - but maybe that's a me thing Bacon: i mean thick, fried bacon with maple - you can't really mess this up. But for the price, it was very mediocre and I wouldn't order again. Greasy and gristle Hamachi sushi - when my sushi is room temperature, I can't give it a high rating. The fish needs to taste fresh and this felt like it was sitting on the counter for quite some time before being served to us. The serving of fish was tiny in ratio to the rice. Felt like we were just eating white rice rolls Shrimp and lobster: it was fine - nothing exciting - not worth the price. Lobster was tough and shrimp was fishy NY strip: probably the most disappointing. tastes like pork / needs sauce or seasoning - some flavor please. Ordered medium rare and extremely overcooked Onion rings: greasy. Again wouldn't order again. Kong pao cauliflower: these were fine. Portion was small, but the cauliflower was okay. Though it was swimming in the sauce

Even accounting for the fact that this restaurant is brand new, roughly three weeks old, there were several execution gaps that should not occur even on opening day. The most glaring miss was at the bar. A basic martini was ordered and the bar had no olives and no olive juice. That is table stakes for any full service restaurant, especially one carrying a celebrity chef name. Our group was flexible and a friend really wanted a dirty martini, so we ended up Instacarting olives to the restaurant ourselves. That should never be necessary. This was not a supply chain issue. It was an attention to detail issue. We were a party of six and ordered broadly across the menu including filet, bone in filet, branzino, pork chop, chicken, and the Sweet Melissa special. Of all the entrees, the pork chop was the clear standout. The rest were acceptable but not memorable, especially given the pricing and expectations tied to the brand. Dessert was another missed opportunity. We ordered the crème brûlée and the chocolate soufflé. A nostalgic and thoughtful touch was bringing out chocolate covered beaters to nibble on while the soufflé baked. Unfortunately, they were dropped in the center of the table with zero explanation. They sat there untouched until we finally asked if they were part of the dessert and what we were supposed to do with them. If you go through the effort of designing a moment like that, failing to explain it completely eliminates its value. The most disappointing part of the evening came near the end. David Burke himself was walking the dining room with the manager. The manager was already aware of the olive situation since we had joked about it earlier. This would have been the perfect moment to stop by the table, acknowledge the miss, make light of it, and turn a service failure into a brand win. Instead, they walked right past our table without a word. Overall, this was a disappointing experience driven by execution, not ambition. The concept has potential, but the staff needs stronger training and tighter operational discipline. I will give it time to work through the opening phase before considering a return.

Bottom line could've of been better. 1. Location: Incredible views of the inlet but don't look to far beyond that, the surrounding area is not in the best neighborhood 2. Service: Started off terrible! I had made a reservation weeks in advance for 3pm on a Sunday through Open Table. The hostess called at 1pm a couple hours prior to our reservation to inform me "Their open table system is messed up and I need to be there by 2:45 for brunch or 4pm for dinner". This was my first time dining here and wanted to come for a late lunch which she informed me "we don't do that on weekend". Overall it was her demeanor and lack of sincerity when speaking to a customer for a mistake the restaurant made. We decided to go for dinner at 4pm and upon entry the staff is not the most welcoming for a restaurant charging average 50-60 per person. 3. Food: Probably the most disappointing part of my whole experience; I can get past rude or unaccommodating staff but the food is the sole reason we came here. First off everything sounds incredible but didn't translate well when tasting the food. We ordered the DB'S OG Clothesline Bacon ($21) and it was good but not worth the price for just two pieces. Also got the lobster dumplings (4 for $25) and they were great expect that the fact they stuff the dumpling with the lobster claws which are not edible and I think the staff should have mentioned that prior to us eating/ordering (you can see the claws sticking out in the photo). For an entree I got the Sea Scallops & Shrimp Risotto (3 scallops & 3 shrimp for $45) this was a light dish but overwhelming but the amount of sun-dried tomatoes added. We also got a side of "maple glazed brussel sprouts" there was no maple glaze and they were undercooked practically raw! For dessert we decided to try the Key Lime pie and the Apple Tart, my Dad got the Key Lime and that came first and he enjoyed it! He finished his dessert and I was still awaiting for the Apple Tart (in my opinion I think both desserts should have been brought together). The apple tart had a unique presentation but the tart it self was not that great- there is a big difference between caramelized and burnt and unfortunately they did not get it right. The bottom was so tough you needed a knife to cut through it! Overall for the price point you expect everything to be flawless and this was just subpar! Much improvement needed across the board!

I went yesterday to try this place shown on Yelp and Andrew was my bartender, he serves amazing green martini. Something I've never tried before. It's something along the lines of vodka, mint and st germain. Very pleasant gentleman, seems to live his job and takes pride in his cocktails. I tried the lobster dumpling appetizer, the sauce could use a little more flavor but great happy hour price. I would definitely go back again. Thanks Andrew for a great afternoon!

Went here for a friend's birthday dinner and snagged a spot at the bar. Our bartender was super friendly cool and nice. We started with drinks, then another drink, then appetizers, more drinks, and then food. I ordered a steak medium well with cream spinach and my friend ordered a lobster tail with creamed spinach. My steak actually came out medium rare but I didn't want the Halle's of sending it back so I just ate it. It was my first time eating a rare steak which made me nervous but it was really good. The steak sauce was also delicious. The flavoring on the steak was divine. The candy bacon and the tuna tartare were also delicious. The creamed spinach was also delicious. The drinks were good as well. I really wanna give a shoutout to the bartender but I can't remember his name sadly. Will come back and edit to include when I remember.

Location? Great. Views? Wonderful. Service? Unmatched. I've visited twice, first time I was by myself and my server Ashley went above and beyond to make my meal superb. She gave me the run down on the menu, her recommendations and kept checking in, her service was FANTASTIC! If you visit, request her. The food is where it goes downhill. It seemed like they tried to elevate a lot of normal, simple dishes and missed the mark. Ex; wedge salad. They added this tomato vinaigrette(?) for the wedge to sit in that ruined the salad. A wedge is fine on its own, doesn't need to be changed. On my second visit, we were a large party. The clothesline bacon - super impractical, I saw the vision, but if anyone took a second to test its practicality, it would fail. They instructed us to remove the clothespin, pinch the bacon to hold it while you cut pieces off for yourself. Half the clothespins they gave us were broken so we wound up just using our fingers to pinch the bacon and cut it - messy and unpractical. Even the server (not Ashley lol) seemed to sort of roll his eyes while teaching us how to do it. The lobster dumplings were interesting, just tasted like butter poached lobster so the dumpling skin seemed almost unnecessary. I got a filet both times and had to send them back both times, not sure if there's a different cook who changes the levels of cooking, but 4 times in total it was brought to my table they couldn't get medium correct - either almost blue or well done. The steak itself was very salty, as were the appetizers, I felt like I had to drink water in between every bite. The chocolate cake for dessert was excellent, but the server (on the second visit) dropped off a bowl of whisks and left. The only reason we had any clue the reasoning behind it was because a member of our party had visited before and told us they drop the whisks off as the cakes cook to let us lick the batter off. Interesting, batter was good, but licking batter off a whisk with a group of work colleagues felt so odd. Even if it was with family or friends, it's just an awkward thing to do lol. If it was dipped spoons, I feel like I would be significantly less ridiculous. Would I go back? For the service - yes! The food - meh.

Ambience, food, drinks were all great! We had the tomahawk steak and they cut it for you at the table. The potato side was my favorite.

I'd read some good reviews about this place, and we were only in town for one evening so I figured why not! The staff from valet to hostess to waiter were all lovely. The view of the marina and the indoor decor are beautiful. But that's about where my positive review ends. We started with an order of the green martini and the blue sky cosmo. They were sickly sweet! We asked our waiter to have the bar remake 2 green martinis (could tell the cosmo would not be good either way) and the new drinks were slightly better. Neither was finished. For appetizers we got the clothesline bacon and the lobster dumplings. The clothesline bacon was the best part of the meal. Thick cut, deliciously spiced. Just too pricey for 2 pieces. The dumplings were fine, but also way too expensive for what they were. For our mains we got the snapper and the short rib pasta. The snapper was just okay, but the couscous was cooked well. The pasta was slightly dry, but the short rib was very tasty. The overall flavor of the dish was not my favorite. We passed on dessert. Even if this restaurant were closer I do not think we would return. I'd recommend trying their steaks as that's what they seem to specialize in... hopefully they are better than the mains we happened to choose this evening!

Everything was simply amazing! Best old fashioned I've had in my life! Service was superb- from the maitre de, Mark to our server Joy. She was knowledgeable, attentive but not too much so, and full of personality. The table-side chocolate cake was a one of a kind experience! The restaurant was kinda noisy, but the views made up for it.

On our drive home from Miami to Jacksonville, we traded Interstate 95 for the slower, more scenic A1A. It made for beautiful views, but after crawling through one coastal town after another, lunch became a priority. A quick search landed us at Stage Kitchen & Bar on PGA Boulevard, a restaurant I later learned had earned a place in the 2025 Michelin Guide. After one meal, it was easy to understand why. We began with two appetizers that could not have been more different, duck confit egg rolls and a grilled cheese. Calling the grilled cheese "just a grilled cheese" would be unfair. Brie melted between perfectly griddled bread kissed with white truffle oil already sounds luxurious. Pair it with a bright mango jam and suddenly a childhood comfort food becomes something unexpectedly elegant. Richness met sweetness in all the right proportions. The duck confit egg rolls were equally memorable. The duck was deeply seasoned with Middle Eastern spices, giving each bite layers of warm, savory flavor. The accompanying peanut chutney added sweetness, nuttiness, and just enough contrast to keep the dish from becoming too heavy. These egg rolls packed far more personality than their modest appearance suggested. For lunch, my wife ordered the grilled black grouper sandwich. The fish, sourced fresh from local suppliers, was flaky, moist, and clean tasting. Lettuce, tomato, onion, and a malt vinegar aioli gave the sandwich brightness without overwhelming the fish. It was simple, balanced, and exactly what a fresh fish sandwich should be. I chose Stage's signature burger, two Certified Angus Beef patties topped with aged white cheddar, caramelized onions, sunflower sprouts, and their house "fancy sauce." This is the kind of burger that reminds you why burgers became America's favorite sandwich in the first place. Cooked to a juicy medium, every bite was rich without becoming heavy. The caramelized onions added sweetness, the white cheddar delivered sharpness, and the sunflower sprouts provided freshness and texture. The fancy sauce contributed just enough heat to keep everything interesting without stealing the spotlight. Dessert continued the restaurant's habit of taking familiar flavors and giving them thoughtful refinement. My sticky rice ice cream, finished with mango sauce and toasted coconut, captured everything I love about mango sticky rice while transforming it into something lighter and more playful. It was creative without feeling gimmicky. My wife ordered three macarons from local pastry maker Macaroner, S'mores, Passion Fruit, and Lime Coconut. Each shell was delicately crisp before giving way to a soft, airy center, exactly as a proper macaron should. Stage Kitchen & Bar takes familiar dishes and quietly elevates them through technique, quality ingredients, and restraint. Nothing feels overcomplicated or designed simply to impress. Every plate feels carefully considered. Sometimes trusting Google is a gamble. This time, it paid off. Great restaurants don't always announce themselves. Sometimes they're simply waiting for hungry travelers willing to take the next exit.

Service = Good. Our bartender didn't offer his name, and we weren't on our game to ask his name. However, he did a good job. He quickly came over and put down black napkin placemats with napkin rolled utensils and offered water while we skimmed the menu. Beverages were served quick. Food order quick and complete. We never had to ask for extra sides as he brought them all out with the meals- ketchups (If you like an abundant serving, ask when you place your order. They use small 2 oz stainless steel ramekins.), horseradish sauce, a side of blue cheese (to dip my fries in ), and my Nashville hot sauce on the side. Check came quick too. One of the best dining experiences I have had. Coming from Atlanta we have a ton of great Cajun…read moreoptions but this really impressed. Everything from the ambiance to the food and even the service was phenomenal. Great dining room area with both an outdoor and indoor bar. We sat with the bartender AB that immediately greeted us with waters and their menu. They are currently running a pick 2 for $15.99 menu that has some pretty great options. We had 2 meals & chose the wings, blackened shrimp po boy with the small gumbo's. Wings were super crispy, juicy, and tender. With a nice light Smokey taste. They buffalo and blue cheese sauce was actually pretty impressive. The po boy had a good amount of shrimp to bread ratio, with a nice sauce included. The gumbo had a deep rich flavor, but was not overly heavy with fatty meats. We were also informed of the happy hour oyster special, so we ended up getting a few of the rockerfella and raw. The rockerfella was amazing with melty cheese, a nice garlic flavor, & served with crispy bread slices. The raw came with crackers, lemon, wine vinegar, and a tasty cocktail sauce. Both were delicious. Marco, the manager came and spoke with us about our experience which really showed the attention to detail this restaurant offers. After sharing our story of visiting New Orleans a few years ago and bragging about the beignets, he brought us 2 out to finish our meal. I have to say, these were better than the ones I've had at cafe beignet in NOLA. They were HOT out the fryer to the point where the powdered sugar was slightly melted. Crisp outside dough but gooey soft in the center. A unreal experience to end a fantastic meal. I would recommend this place to anyone and everyone. Luckily my sister lives 5 mins from this place but I would easily drive a hour or 2 when visiting from out of town just for this experience. Marco and AB really went above and beyond to make sure this was a special outing on a regular ole' Monday, and we could not have left happier.

After seriously underestimating the Florida heat and walking a mile and a half to Voodoo, the…read moreexperience was worth every step. From the moment we walked in, the welcome was freakin' awesome. The New Orleans vibe was absolutely on point and set the tone for a great meal. Our waitress was fantastic--friendly, knowledgeable, and passionate about the menu. She recommended her favorite dish, and it ended up becoming my favorite too. Now, I'm a country boy, so the deviled eggs just weren't my style, but everything else more than made up for it. The cornbread was incredible. Honestly, I couldn't decide if I was eating cake or cornbread--it was that good. The barbecue shrimp was outstanding and easily one of my favorite dishes (our waitress clearly has great taste!). The fried oysters were cooked to perfection, and the baked chicken was seasoned and prepared just right. The gator tail was great with the sauce. I've had scalloped potatoes many times over the years, but these were on another level--definitely some for the record books. If you're looking for great food, an authentic New Orleans atmosphere, and excellent service, Voodoo is absolutely worth the visit.
