I'll admit, I was a little hesitant after reading the reviews since they seemed pretty split, half loved it and half didn't. But I decided to take a leap of faith, and I'm so glad I did. These are hands down some of the best cupcakes I've ever had! We tried the Tres Leches, Chocolate, Lemon, and Boston Cream. The Tres Leches was delicious, although I personally wish it had just a little more moisture. The Chocolate, Lemon, and Boston Cream, though? Every bite was rich, fresh, and full of flavor. If you're in San Diego and have a sweet tooth, this place is absolutely worth the stop. I'll definitely be back in July to try even more flavors!

That said, the cashier was very sweet, and the dessert display looked beautiful and tempting. While the coffee didn't win me over, I'd still come back to give their desserts a try since they looked much more appealing than the drink I ordered. Overall, a nice spot with friendly service, but next time I'll be skipping the flavored coffee and trying one of the desserts instead.

How to order: call during business hours or fill out the website contact form. Mahya will reply directly within a day. Then we texted back and forth to confirm the details. Payment through Venmo or PayPal. Be patient, this is a small business and labor of love. I ordered the 5 inch tarts. It is required to order 6 (or more) of those and all of the same type. We had 4 adults and 4 kids. The 6 tarts were gobbled up fast. The prices are slightly higher than what is listed on the website and there is a delivery fee. This is important to expect when supporting small local businesses in this pandemic season. This secret bakery is a treasure. Don't settle for chain bakery mediocrity.
