Cost $75.00 plus tax. Also took one week. Then added Freon. Another $75.00. Still not cooling properly. Sam said I needed a new seal (gasket) Estimate was $375.00 plus tax AND installation. After further conversation I was informed he was UNLICENSED. Needless to say I am out over $1,100. and still in need of repair/ replacement. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!

HEED MY WARNING…read more.. (Btw, this review is written out of understandable frustration, and I have refrained from saying worse. Lol) When my 1 1/2 year old GE refrigerator started making a really loud noise, I called Sam at the very end of the day on a Friday because he was the only 24 hour place that was open, and I was worried that if it did go out, and my food would spoil. He came out to the house charging us $180 for the visit, but I felt like I had no other choice than pay that or risk the possibility of no refrigerator or cold food. He looked at the fridge for a few minutes, and told us the back was frozen, and the line was clogged because the refrigerator was pushed too far back against the wall, and it couldn't breathe. So we took everything out of the refrigerator, crammed a huge fridge of food in a tiny garage fridge and coolers, unplugged the fridge, and trusted this fool. Yes. He is a fool. The next morning, the ice in the ICE MAKER IN THE FRONT OF THE FRIDGE NOT THE LINE had melted, and we had a huge puddle of water on our floor. We thought that was par for the course, and once we cleaned that up, we put the food back in, and BELIEVED the refrigerator was going to be fixed it. NO. Within the day, it started making the same noise. I called him, and he told me over the phone that it was the ice maker, he came back out, charged another $180, installed a new ice maker, and charged us $250 for the ice maker. Once again, we had faith in this man that this was going to be the fix for the situation. No! Within the day, the noise returned! When I called again, I was understandably VERY ANGRY at this point, and I told him I wanted my money back, and he refused. In fact, he yelled at me on the phone, and then told me that the sensor now needed to be replaced and changing the ice maker out made the sensor go bad. What????? He was still going to charge us for a new ice maker that was not the cause and was his fault for putting in in the first place. Luckily, after I continued to demand he make it right, he gave me two UNFAIR options. A. Return the ice maker to him PAYING THE FULL SHIPPING, and he would send back the original ice maker which WE WOULD HAVE TO INSTALL OURSELVES. HA! B. We could keep the ice maker that he put in, and he would refund us ONLY 75% of what we paid. There would be no refund on the service calls. We went with option B, we did received a money order a week later that gave us $180 of the $250 we paid for an ice maker that didn't need to be replaced at all. So after spending nearly $400 on this lunatic, we were left with a refrigerator with the same horrible noise that actually got worse until we had the money to call GE, as I should have in the first place. The man came out, he hooked up his computer to the refrigerator, and it was the fan. He took the refrigerator backing out, replaced the fan, put it back in, and the sound is gone. It took 15 MINUTES. And he only charged us $124, and that's with the service call. He said that GE had put in some of these fans that wound up being faulty, and although our warranty was out after a year, he called GE, and they covered the cost of the fan. Take my advice, DO NOT TRUST SAM. He is not knowledgeable of appliances, and he's nothing but a scam artist that's going to take your money. There's a good chance that you're going to walk away without your appliance fixed, and if it isn't, don't expect him to give you anything back but hostile voice and a "tough out of luck" message. SAM IS A SORRY SCAM! Although we walked away with a raw deal, karma doesn't discriminate. Good luck!

Sears…read moremay not mention this when you call them, or they may tell you the contractors work for them, but they are subcontractors. I did not want to deal with that. Plus, with Sears, they make one appointment to come to your home, assess the problem, determine what parts need to be ordered, and ask you to pay for those parts in advance. Then they make a second appointment with you for the repair after the parts have come in, which will have been mailed to your home. If the parts end up being the wrong ones, you get to start over again. I had read of too many nightmare problems with Sears repair, so I researched and found this place. I spoke with Nelson and we set up an appointment. I specifically asked for late afternoon, which turned out to be an issue. Because of that, my appointment had to be rescheduled several times, because they were not in their busy time of the year. Luckily I was not in a hurry. I know I could have called Sears and had someone out immediately, but I wanted to give these guys a shot. Finally the appointment was set, about three weeks later. Again, this was because I was requesting an appointment for after 4 p.m. If I could have done an earlier appointment, the work could have been done sooner. But I tell you this in case anyone needs a late afternoon appointment and it is a certain time of year for them. Justin came out and did the work by himself, even though I have a stacked washer/dryer unit. But he handled it fine. Sears would have sent two people. All Brands Appliance could send two people as well, but they would charge extra for it. And really, there was no need. My stacked unit (the type I had) did not have to be removed from its position. Justin was very polite and neat, too. And they had gotten enough information from me that they were able to have the likely parts on hand for the job. Sure enough, Justin had the right parts to fix my dryer. It was done in one appointment. And at a very fair price. So the work was done in one appointment, not two, which is the way this company tells me they prefer to work (unless it is unavoidable and unforeseen parts have to be ordered). The business of the first appointment is not just to diagnose your problem and then leave. It is to show up with the necessary parts to fix your problem in hand and fix the problem. And I like that business model. Again, it may not always work, if while diagnosing something unexpected comes up. But I like it a lot better than Sears' model. They also have a 90-day warranty backing their work. I called because I thought I heard a sound, and they said if I wanted them to come back out to let them know. But I did not hear it again, so no need. Highly recommend for appliance repair.
