Driven past this place so many times and I finally stopped in. There is limited seating so I wouldn't recommend this place for groups. I ordered the vegan chicken salad sandwich. It was good, except for the raisins. The fries were delicious! I loved the pita bread!! They were busy and I think they could have used a bit more help--someone to take orders and bus the tables and then obviously kitchen help. I would definitely go back! Awesome spot! My friend's been raving about it and I finally had the chance to try. I had the Fresca salad and pesto pizza. Even though I'm a meat lover it was still great. The Fresca salad is full of fresh fruit chunks- strawberries, apples, pineapple, and cherry tomatoes. It was sweet and tangy makes a great summer salad. The pizza was awesome too! The dough is chewy and crunchy at the same time. It might be a bit oily because of the green peppers. It's a simple place and everything is prepared there in front of you. We got * tacos (curry veg, seitan asada, and avocado) * Greek pizza * chicken salad sandwich * bbq seitan sandwich * fries and potato salad And Turkish delight and baklava I think the chicken salad was the star of the show, and the fries were really well-seasoned and delicious. You could tell the pitas were homemade-- super soft. It's in Carytown so if the weather is nice, it's a great spot to take a walk before or after your meal. They have about 5 tables inside and some out. Service was great. Although the sign and Yelp descriptor say vegetarian, he assured us everything was vegan. Food came out fast and seemed fresh. Stopped by while attending a training and was pleasantly surprised by how wonderful everything was! Amazing options for everyone to find something to try. I got the lentil burger, crispi fries, and a local cherry ginger kombucha. Everything was delightful! The burger was unique and had great texture and flavor! The fries were absolutely crispi and seasoned to perfection. The kombucha was a surprise winner, since I'm normally a bit undecided on kombucha. This local fruit mix kombucha has won we over! There's seating inside and outside and the chef (owner?) was very welcoming and friendly. I will be stopping by whenever in the area to try some of the other options. Unexpectedly good. While visiting Richmond we stopped by Fresca On Addison. When you first arrive you don't get a great impression, The restaurant has limited seating (but it does offer a couple of tables outdoors), so it might be well positioned for takeout delivery. But what makes Fresca special is the food. We tried a pizza and one of the sandwiches, each was around $10, and the portions were decent. Every bite was full of flavor, the sauce on the pizza was delicious, and the dough was perfectly balanced. All in all, Fresca does not deliver an upscale dining experience, but for the price, it offers an excellent experience, from price to, most importantly, the food. My Criteria 5 stars: The best food I have ever had, or an excellent option given the price. 4 stars: Good food, a restaurant I look forward to trying again. 3 stars: Good food, a restaurant that I am indifferent to. 2 stars: Below average experience, will not go again. 1 stars: This restaurant should be closed. read more

I've passed this placed for awhile saying I'm going to check it out. I'm not vegan so I kept putting it off and missing out. The tacos, black bean burger are amazing. But the pizza caught me completely off guard cause I'm not about vegan cheese AT ALL I don't know what brand they use but it was out of this world delicious. My son the vegetarian loves it. Hearty and flavorful! To me one of the things Fresca does uniquely well is provide delicious veggie forward vegan options. My personal favorite is the white bean burger on pita. The pita is fluffy and soft, the burger is well seasoned and well dressed. The soup and salad with strawberries and vegan feta were surprisingly good and the baklava sealed the deal. I've been here once before yearss ago but was not impressed. This time however, I loved the food and the service was great too! We stopped by about an hour before closing, and ordered three tacos (Avocado, BBQ Tempeh, Curry Veg) and the White Bean-Pumpkin burger. The restaurant was not packed but clearly had a ton of to-go orders they were filling. It's a small place so our food took about half an hour but the owners and chef are kind and accommodating. The tacos were tasty, especially the Avocado, and we loved the burger with its crusty yet soft buns, hearty patty and tangy sauce. However, the FRIES on the side absolutely stole the show! They were so crispy, hot off the fryer, and we could not stop eating them. We'll definitely come back to try their pizza in the future! Look no further for flavorful plant-based food. read more

One of the vegan institutions of the hippie scene in Richmond, this place seems to have been known for making pizzas, but has not actually done that in some time, for reasons that presumably somehow relate to the pandemic. When I dropped in, my takeout options led me to a white bean veggie burger. White beans make good burgers and have a distinct savoriness to them. I was happy for the option to get it over a small salad, and the potato salad on the side added a little zing. My husband and I drove up from Virginia Beach to hike around Maymont Park today and wanted to grab lunch before heading back at a local vegetarian restaurant. Our daughter who had attended VCU a few years back recommended Fresca on Addison. It was a very quick drive from Maymont and in a pretty downtown area. We parked quickly (on a Saturday afternoon no less)) and headed over. The menu had great options and as we couldn't decide we opted to share the bbq seitan with pineapple slaw sandwich and the Greek salad sandwich. BOTH were simply superb! My husband told the staff it was ridiculously good. It was! As we are driving back to Virginia Beach he said he would drive back up to Richmond just to eat there. Went for lunch today and had a thoroughly wonderful experience! I hadn't been to Fresca on Addison since 2019, and I was pleasantly surprised at the updates that the restaurant has made since then. 1st time here on 4/3/18. I met a friend here for an early dinner. I loved the bright green building, that made it easy to find! Inside was cool, small but perfect for what it is. The staff were nice and helpful with my decisions on what I wanted to order. I decided to order a pizza and it was DELISH! I ordered a small cheese, broccoli, mushroom and red onions pizza which, again, was very good. The pizza came out quick and it was devoured just as quick lol. Only delivery or pick up (in a designated area behind a barricade of tables or they bring it out to the patio like a curb side). Mask required and all employees had masks, but also greeted me nicely when I came in. Kind staff is always a plus. Got the white bean pumpkin burger and a side of curried butternut squash soup. The burger looked beautiful even in the plastic container haha. It was soft (squishing our the bun) like most vegan burgers tend to be and I couldn't taste the curry in the mayo, but sriracha fixed it right up and the avocados definitely added nice moisture. The buns were soft and worked well with the burger. But THAT SOUPvery light for a puréed soup, delightful flavor, 10/10 would go back for more soup!! Finding vegan dishes/restaurants can be tough but I recommend this place! I love healthier food options and I'll be back to try the rest of the menu. read more

My second visit in...so many hours. This was a Saturday early afternoon my first visit was Fridays lunch which was so good! I took my wife J here and we were both very happy with our choice of food. J got three tacos: Avocado, Chorizo and Seitan Asada...she loved all three of them. Our first time trying Seitan...not sure the accurate pronunciation...we keep falling into saying Satan! I had the Greek Salad which was a perfect portion and very delicious. We neglected to take pictures of these dishes because of impatience we had when we saw them but I did manage to take a picture of the soup we had. Today, I got the black bean burger and for my side, the orzo salad. Washed it down with a large San Pellegrino sparkling water. Both were delicious. AND FILLING! Even though there's no meat, it doesn't lack flavor. Price point is a little high at $14. Service is adequate, but not overly warm or friendly. Cute guy behind the counter. Decor is nothing special. It's decidedly hipster minimalist. Kinda reminds me of a non-American spot with tile floors, adequate seating, but no special attention to detail or design. There's a patio, which is great for the Fan, even though you don't see much al fresco dining on this stretch of Cary. Anyhow, I like it.
