Poor service and disappointing food First of all, already entering the restaurant you could see that there was a problem I constantly saw one of the managers of the restaurant take four pizzas away from tables indicating to me that and they were serving the wrong dishes to the wrong people not only that I had to ask two different waiters in order for someone to come to take our orders. My brother ordered a cuttlefish ink spaghetti. When we got it it had no cuttlefish ink we asked the waitress why and she lied to our faces saying she told us earlier that they ran out. I then ordered this cutlet dish and let me tell you this dish tasted exactly how it looked - plain, dry and disappointing. The mussels were solid, eggplant was decent, and the tuna from the tuna salad was pretty good. Unfortunately, the service and poor quality dishes my brother and I ordered are the main takeaways. I must say it seems like many of the restaurants I have been eating out in Duomo are following the trend of being overpriced and underwhelming in taste. I wonder if it is because tourists go to these restaurants and these restaurants know that they will not return so they just charge exceedingly high prices without regard for the quality flavor of the food. read more

The pizza is decently priced for a touristy area, and the decor is lovely. We had the marinara (classic) pizza and the one with artichokes and ham. The beer and house wine were also priced well, similar to non-tourist areas. Also, this restaurant stays open until midnight, which is convenient when staying by the Duomo. However, unless necessary I won't be going back. I went up to the cashier to pay a 26€ bill with a 100€ note. He gave me 24€ back. When I pointed out I gave him 100€, he pointed to the bill and my change as if it were correct. I again told him, yes the bill is 26€ and I needed more change. Only then did he give me another 50€ note without so much as an apology for shorting me the equivalent of $70. read more

While staying in Milan, we went to see the famous Duomo di Milano Cathedral. It is surrounded by La Rinascente shops, restaurants, gelaterias & street vendors. We had such good food experiences during the first 3 days, we figured we couldn't go wrong anywhere at this point. We came upon Fresco e Cimmino and stopped in for a light bite to eat before heading out for more shopping & sightseeing. One of our kids had fallen asleep in the stroller, so we asked if we could get a corner table to accommodate our stroller. We were seated fairly promptly, but it took SO long to get drinks and be able to order any food. We ordered appetizers & mains - prosciutto & buffalo mozzarella, bruscetta, pasta for the kids & 1 of the mains. The pizza crust was too thick compared to the pizza we had near our hotel at various restaurants, pasta was cold when it arrived and was a bit bland compared to other pasta we had tried while in Milan. The only thing that i LOVED was the prosciutto & buffalo mozzarella appetizer. The service was atrocious, none of us had our food brought out at the same time - which we requested. None of us ended up eating together, which was really odd and we were offered no apology or explanation. We were there for over 2 hours in total. We left disappointed in the experience & the meal even after talking to the manager. At least there was a great gelateria a 2 min walk from there that we splurged at. read more

I would have given zero star if I could. We went last night because its near our hotel and ordered beef steak medium, it came out rare. I asked to be cooked again until twice! My wife and I really liked this restaurant. We went for a late supper after a ballet at La Scala. We had a margherita pizza and a spaghetti puttanesca as entrees and profiteroles for dessert. We had 1/2 liter of the house white, which was dry and really delicious. The prices were low and the quality of the food high. I don't want to oversell this place as haute cuisine, but if I were a resident of Milano I'd definitely make a point of eating here again. One last note. PIZZA!! One of the better pizza spots in Milan. The pizza here tastes the most similar to Naples pizza, it's the closest you can find besides going to Napoli! I recommend the trio of three "tris di antonio", it comes with 3 miniatures of a margarita pizza, calzone, and another pizza with sausage/greens. It was very quiet when we got there, although we were early (around 6) and it started to pick up. The man who took care of us was super nice, and helpful and patient. We had lunch here on a work-day, and the place was absolutely packed with business people. They know how to pick a lunch spot. We had a grilled vegetable antipasti which was absolutely fantastic, and the pizzas are great too (Neapolitan style). Our hotel front desk attendee recommended this place for mid afternoon lunch. Since most places are closed mid afternoon, this was a good option. The pizza was pretty good along with the calzone my wife had. The house red wine was also not too shabby. Overall, it was a good place to eat. You go to these places because of the food and the service is always a bonus. This service was average. Everyone looked like they were ticked off though. At any rate, it gave us a good laugh.
