I loved going to Frescos and will definitly be back! (I went for lunch) The ambiance is great and exactly what I was looking for that I feel that the AV doesnt have a lot of; upscale, trendy, classy. They serve a generous amount of bread and dip sauce while you wait. The staff was friendly, attentive, helpful and knowledgeable about the menu. Now the most important part is the food. I loved it. I got fire pasta, and the date had a sandwhich which was also delicious. Combined we spent less than 40 bucks and that included non alcholic drinks. I had plenty of food to take home, and trust me I stuffed myself at the resturant. THis is my new favorite place to eat in the AV! read more

Fresco II used to be a great restaurant with outstanding food and service. How the times have changed! We ate there Saturday, October 5, 2013. The first thing we noticed was the place was dead. At 6:30 pm on a Saturday, this does not bode well, and spoke of the train wreck we were heading into. We ordered drinks (supposedly half price for happy hour) and the Calamari for an appetizer, huge mistake. It was cooked in what tasted like day old oil and had zero seasoning. The calamari literally had no taste whatsoever, I had to ask the hostess (waiter was nowhere to be found) for salt and pepper. We did not finish the appetizer and waited for the entrees. The entrees where the only positive of the evening. My wife ordered the Spice Seafood Chowder and it was pretty good. I ordered the house specialty, Souvlaki (Shiskabob). The Souvlaki was ok, the problem was the au jus was a bit on the strong side and if any stronger would have rendered the Souvlaki uneatable. Honestly we should have left. However we were waiting for a movie to start and were celebrating our anniversary. We decided to celebrate with a glass of port and crème brûlée. Huge mistake. The crème brûlée arrived covered with out of the can whipped cream. I actually had to scoop off the whipped cream to ensure there was crème brûlée underneath the heaping pile of processed cream. The crème brûlée was very grainy and had a off putting metallic taste. Needless to say we did not finish. The best part is when we talked to the waiter, he offered to speak to one of the managers. Unbeknownst to us, the "managers" were the gentlemen who had been sitting at the corner of the bar drinking beer and hitting on the wait staff for the last hour. I did not want to speak to somebody who had been steadily quaffing beer and asked to speak to the owner, Lenny, who often is on the premises, only to discover he was at Fresco IIs other location. It is apparent that Lenny has been focusing on spreading his chain and letting the Palmdale location quality slip. What used to be a great place to eat has turned into an overpriced dive bar where the lucky managers enjoy beer and an empty house. For $104.00 we received mediocre service, a tasteless appetizer, average entrees, uneatable dessert and a front row seat to the house managers enjoying their evening, which involved drinking and talking to the waiters/waitresses. On top of it all, the waiter had taken it upon himself to double charge for drinks, guess he did not think we would notice. I would recommend trying another restaurant in Palmdale or on the Boulevard in Lancaster. We will not be going to Fresco II again and strongly recommend the same to you. Save yourself some money and frustration. read more

Went with my bestie for a girls night last night (Friday, November 16th) things started off well. The music and atmosphere were amazing! However after placing our food order we were treated horribly. I had to ask 6 times for water and we waited 30 minutes for our drinks. I could understand if the restaurant was packed but there were about 4 tables on the lounge side (we were seated here) and 4 in the dinning room - it was very empty. After receiving our food our waiter tried to box our food - we had just begun to eat - still missing our wine too! To top it off we were asked to leave because they had a large party coming and they wanted our table. We were spending $100+ on drinks and food. No tip! We recently went to this restaurant without knowing that they were open. So my wife and I went and had an amazing time. From the host to our server named Diego, everyone went above and beyond. The food as always was excellent and their patio totally had been change to look like an inviting outdoor Italian cafe. Waited to be seated while there were plenty of tables empty and "open" according to the hostess. Was eventually seated on the patio. 15 minutes passed and no one came out to take our drink order. Meanwhile, the table next to us who was sat down just before us, had their drink order taken and served to them and appetizer order taken. I went back inside to ask wtf and the hostess said she'd find someone. 5 minutes later a server came out and took our entire order as we were ready to order everything at this point in case they never came back. Food was good, not necessarily amazing, but the place has a nice atmosphere and the live music was nice too. Drinks were lacking. Wife ordered the "Garden of Eden" (drink), should be taken off the menu. Margarita was average at best. The waitress apologized several times for our wait at the beginning, but no manager/owner ever showed up and nothing was done to really rectify our unnecessary wait and lack of service at the beginning when were sat down and forgot about. read more

I hate leaving poor reviews. Valentines Day, I call for reservations. I'm greeted with an earlier dinner or a later dinner option. I accept the earlier dinner which was an hour from my reservation time. I'm super great full to even get a res on Valentines Day, especially at Fresco. We arrive a few mins early and check in. There is only one other couple at the kiosk. With in the next 15 minutes about 4-5 new groups arrive. A second hostess arrives to support the 1st one. Long story short, we waited too long considering our reservation. There were no parties in front of us. The 2nd hostesses began seating parties without reservations in front of us unaware of the reservation list. After realizing the error, the hostess attempted to make it right by seating us clear across the restaurant in a vacant section right next to the kitchen door. After explaining how that wouldn't be satisfactory, she explained that we would have to wait another 20 mins? So to summarize, we had a reservation, arrived when no one was there minutes before our time. Witnessed a small rush which resulted in our reservation not being recognized. We were met with a faultless hostess attitude that made us feel like we were the problem. We crossed the street and had a nice dinner at the Yard House instead. My 1st time at Fresco's was 6 weeks ago. This would of been my 2nd. When do you think my 3rd time will be? read more

Came on a Sunday . They had live entertainment which was this old guy who sang terribly. Anyway, I have lots of allergies so I ordered the shrimp with Greek ouzo. I asked the waitress what that was and she said it's pasta. Come to find out it's alcohol which I'm terribly allergic too. So bad week for me. Also the waitress was dressed like a catwoman. She had on tons of black makeup with cat shaped eyes and long blonde extensions . I just think they need to train their staff better on the menu otherwise the food tasted good. read more

Beautiful interior, friendly staff. Great happy hour times 2pm - 8pm. Clean establishment. Food is incredibly good with lots of flavor and good drinks. Recommend seafood pasta, fried clams, fried pickles, pizza and their bread with marinara or house dip. So far that's all I've had here. I've been wanting to try this restaurant for several months now and I can officially say I've tried it and will never return. We came on a Sunday afternoon and decided to sit in the bar area to get happy hour. We ordered the nachos and mushrooms and were not impressed. The nachos are just chips and cheese and the mushrooms were plain tasting. The entrees were ehh but our server took the spot as the worst part of our meal. We were served by Karly and at first she was nice and helpful but towards the end it was very obvious that she did not care about helping us. While we were waiting for our entrees (which took FOREVER) there was four employees gathered around the bar talking about their work schedule. At first it was just annoying to have to listen to their chatter about work but then it turned unbearable. We heard Karly practically screaming saying that, "she deserves more shifts because she's been there the longest and she's a single mother with two kids that lives on her own. So and so doesn't need that many shifts because she lives with her parents". The screaming went on for about five minutes with F bombs being dropped left and right. At this point we felt so uncomfortable that when our food finally arrived we asked for boxes. The worst part is that the entire time our server never ONCE checked on us and the food runner Samantha was the one that helped us out. So here's a tip from one former server to another. Maybe instead of being so focused on getting your six shifts a week to make your money focus on what's right in front of you. You would have gotten double the tip if you provided decent service. It's all about quality and not quantity. Only good thing this place has going for them is Samantha! She never stopped working and was so kind and friendly to everyone. Jagger & Mike are exceptional workers. If it wasn't for them behind the bar during Late night I honestly wouldn't come.. Management is doing a phenomenal job hiring employers. My family came in tonight and I had them bring me an order back home, artichoke pizza and sweet potato cheesecake...it makes me wonder if someone even tried the cheesecake first before deciding to serve it, the maple on top was so overpowering and so was the spices in the sweet potato it was unedible. The chicken on the pizza had the texture of pressed chicken, which I find unappetizing. I had someone else taste it and they said the same thing. My daughter that dined there said her lasagna was really good. My other daughter got the chicken Alfredo and said they used the same chicken on hers that was on my pizza (gross). One of the few places in the AV where you go in and know automatically that the food will be superb. I have never had a bad meal here. The entire experience is fantastic. You start off with the bread and the grey garlic sauce that's the perfect amount of garlic and acidity to kickstart your appetite. I used to get the Salmon Fresco and my god do I miss it. I often find myself daydreaming about it when I wish for a total flavor bomb to bless me. New Years BLAST! Absolutely worth every penny! Not only did they save our night when another establishment cancelled our New Years event BUT treated us like royalty. Our 5 course meal was brought to us when we were ready for each meal-no rush on there part which made for an enjoyable dining experience. We could pace our food and drinks! Each course was better than the next. Presentation, flavors and choices were more than expected. The Jazz band was stupendous. Many songs played new and old and the musicians talents were not the average "bar band" type they were each talented the bass, drums, flute to name a few of the many instruments played all came through in our listening pleasure. The dancing and D.J later in the evening were modern and the place was nicely packed. Everyone on there feet enjoying the sounds of today and a few throw backs. The New Year count down was greeted with a smooth tasting champagne(not the run of the mill), video and audible count down with confetti falling upon us all at midnight!!! Went here last night for their "club" night. First of all, the door men only patted me and my other male friend down, very awkwardly. The three woman I was with however, did not need to be checked at all. The guy literally said "since you're a dude, I gotta search you".... like woman can't be doin some Shady stuff too. My other friend who got patted down was searched even more than I was. They made him empty his pockets and asked him if he had any weed on him. I'm white and my friend is Latino. It was completely wrong and it was race motivated. Once we got inside the overly crowded small dance floor, we went to the bar, where the bartenders were serving the prettier girls than I who had stood there for 10 mins, watching girls get served who walked up after me and my group. The security is really high here. I know it's Palmdale, and they're doing their jobs, but they don't need to treat men as the issue. They need to search everyone the same. Who's to say that people who go here regularly don't have the woman carry in the stuff they don't want found. The service overall was crap, the people working were not polite and the 10$ cover charge wasn't worth how crowded it was. I'm sure the fire marshall would have a field day with this place. I hope the Business owners read this and make a change to how they treat men walking into this place and treat people equally. Not as criminals. I personally will never go back there. read more

Came here for Sunday jazz brunch two weeks ago. The servers were attentive and helpful. It was tough to hear the music sometimes over the loud conversation. Why do people come for live music then spend their time talking and texting? Anyway, I had the Eggs Benedict and my wife had steak and eggs. Both dishes were well prepared and $15 unlimited Mimosas is a bonus. So we went back two nights ago for dinner. What a bad idea. I had Chicken Marsala and my wife had stuffed Sea Bass. The Marsala was awful, too much bread crumbs and the chicken was over cooked. My wife's fish was just overwhelming. It was hard to find the fish because it was buried in a shrimp, scallop, bread crumb stuffing and cream sauce. I felt badly for our server because he was very good. My wife says that before the restaurant moved the food was fantastic. Won't be back. read more

We came for Lamb for Easter. The service was a bit lax, had to wait a considerable while to get water refilled. We ordered 2 lamb chops and 1 rib eye. All medium. The lamb came rare rather than medium so we sent it back, it came back charred and black on the outside and medium rare on the inside. Then we were told the chef was one of the owners. Considering the cost of the food, the poor service and the disastrous lamb, I could only give it 2 stars... I may stick with LeChen's on Sierra Hwy for awhile. read more

The two rating is because the food is fantastic. Not higher because the service was horrible. We have had great service in the last but not today. We are a five year customer and used to bring people to this restaurant. And for Mother's Day it wasn't very busy. Bartender who opened our bottle of wine was a delight. Alexander M was horrible as a server. Asked for water four times. Asked for no potatoes with meal but got it anyway. Salads came out 5 min before meals. Brought the check without saying anything and gave check to my son. Really! Wondering if going out of business or new owners? With this service won't be in business much longer. read more
