I've only ordered from this location, so I can't really speak on the dine-in experience, but I have to say that I absolutely love their Indian food. It is a bit pricey, but the food has been worth it for me. My go-to order is the spicy lamb curry with basmati rice, and it has never disappointed. The lamb is flavorful, the curry is rich, and the rice pairs perfectly with it. I always brave the spiciest level and then regret my life choices later when my tongue is on fire and my stomach is protesting, but honestly it's sooooo delicious that I keep going back anyway. There aren't a lot of Indian restaurants around that I know of, so I'm glad this one is nearby. If I could give less than one star, I'd give this place negative 5 stars. Lets see..where to start. The "boys" in there act like they don't understand what you're saying, if they don't like what you're saying! Than let's get to the food...what the heck happened to their lentil soup. It literally tasted like lentils and brown beans soaked in luke warm water with a teeny tiny bit of fresh cilantro on top. No taste, no seasoning at all! The Garlic Naan bread was very "non" buttery and garlic-y!! The tea was in following with the theme of the day....absolutely tasteless, with none of the named spices...aka cinnamon, cardamom etc... The food was very good and it came out super fast! However, the service staff was extremely cold, didn't know any of the drinks, and didn't smile even ONCE. They acted like they didn't even want us there which was so rude. But like I said the food was good and as a first time experience with Indian food it was overall positive. read more

I love coming to this restaurant for lunch, they usually give me enough for where I can have it for dinner. Also today I tried the cauliflower pakora. They could've cooked it a little bit longer. I usually get the mixed pakora but I wanted to try something different. It was good but undercooked in my opinion . Everything else that I got the saag and chicken tiki masala was hitting on all cylinders. I can't say enough good things about this place. The service is good. Been coming to this location for a few years now and have tried several of their dishes. My go-to, however, is their chicken tikka masala, which is always on point. Meat is tender and the creamy sauce pairs perfectly with their rice or naan (garlic). Recently, I've also been ordering the mango chicken - think "Indian version of orange chicken". So good. I come to the Palmdale location only when I don't feel like driving to Royal Tandoor in SCV, owner for the Lancaster location is rude and that restaurant is dirty so we never go there. Our go to dishes are the Chicken Makhni, Choley Puri, Chaat! Rice is missing something, should have peas or something, Raita needs cucumbers instead of potatoes in it. Their mango lassi is the best and so is the kheer and gulab jamun, more dessert options are needed. Their to go portions are smaller than when you dine in and they skimp on things and the price has increased drastically so that's a disappointment. Their tea tastes old, for the price for a sit down restaurant it should be made fresh to order, their chicken biryani also tastes old, the meat used for that dish is gamey and low quality every single time to where I have started picking the chicken pieces out, please improve that. read more

Stopped by here on a drive up to the Angeles National Forest for a hot cup of chai. Great kadak chai and yummy tomato lentil soup. Beautifully designed restaurant and easy parking. Our waiter Mandie was so nice and even recommended we stop by Lancaster to see the Gurudwara and Lancaster Hindu Temple. Both were beautiful and a must see! We will be back. Came in at 530 on friday, ordered 2 sides of naan, chicken curry, and chicken tikka, and OH MY LORD IS IT S TIER. So we get in and seat our selves, given cucumber water that was so refreshing. The waiter was on point. The Chicken tikka comes on a skillet with a bed of green bell peppers and onions, topped with the chicken. So good i stopped myself eating so i can save some for later. the chicken curry was served in a bowl and the naan is a MUST. It complimented both dishes so well. Malhi's is hands down one of my favorite Indian restaurants I have ever been to. The is food here is consistently delicious - flavorful, fresh and just so comforting. The samosas are perfectly cripsy, all vegeterian curries are rich, and the garlic naan is basically impossible to stop eating. Also, can't forget the unlimited chai refills. I really like the decor of the building as well as the Indian music that played in the background. Chutney came complimentary. The paneer pokora reminded me of tofu and looked like a chicken nugget. The eggplant was very good. The chicken briyani was ok. My biggest issue is that the meat wasn't that tender. The vibdaloo in particular was a bit chewy. However, the flavors of everything was excellent. The naan was not excessively oily. The rice cups (comes with each curry order) are more shallow than they appear to be. Wonderful meal. We came over to eat some of our favorite foods. We like their lentil soup which comes gratis at lunchtime only. And then we ordered a favorite appetizer that Mr. Picky just loves which is Chat Papari. It's so yummy and there's nothing else quite like it. It's a dish made with crunchy fried chips, a little bit of potato and garbanzo beans and then all finished off with a wonderful combination of yogurt and sweet tamarind sauce. So it's a sweet and savory start to the meal and Mr. Picky absolutely loves it, so much so that I felt compelled to sacrifice and push my last small serving to him across the table in order to enhance his happiness. The next thing we ordered was the delicious Mango Garlic Sesame Naan with extra mango chutney. Because it's worthy of attention, we ate just that one item by itself before ordering the main meal. Finally we got around to ordering our favorite entrees. We both like Tikka Masala dishes which are house specialties and he always orders the chicken version while I think the lamb version is exceptional! We don't like the dessert options, we'll stop somewhere else for that, but the aforementioned menu is what you should try sometime, companied by the fabulous Mango Lassi drink and some Punjabi tea. Ordered togo and the food was ready when promised. The garlic naan and spicy garlic naans were huge pieces with great flavor. The basmati rice was fragrant and was perfect for the fish curry I ordered. I couldn't believe the generous amount of fish in the curry! It has such great flavor with the perfect amount of spice.
