Bean & Cheese Burrito - delicious!
    Deb H.

I'm always a fan of Mexican drive thru restaurants and I found this one while driving on the 99fwy through Bakersfield. However the location wasn't great because it wasn't super close to the freeway and it took a long time to get my food. The bean and cheese burrito was really good and cheesy. However the shrimp tacos and fish tacos weren't great. They didn't taste fresh and were bizarre. The weirdest thing about the tacos is that they didn't have the normal fish taco sauce nor did they have salsa = they put Ranch Dressing on the tacos! Like literally Ranch dressing! Sooo weird!!! They even doubled down and had multiple flavors of ranch dressing - I tried a few flavors but the combination of ranch dressing on the tacos was disgusting. Also the soda was flat which was disappointing. I won't be returning here...

Sometimes you to get bang for your buck and this is one of those places. I absolutely love coming here because I know I will get great food at a great price. On top of that, they are fast and fresh. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The staff is always friendly and they keep the place up.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

OMG! Soooo good! I had two of their shrimp tacos today. Simply Scrumptious! The price is $5.49 per shrimp or fish taco, which is about the going rate anywhere now. My food came out quickly. The staff is polite and efficient. The restaurant is well maintained. The taco begins with a double corn tortilla. Then some sautéed veggies, 4 large shrimp per taco. Topped with fresh crunchy cabbage, homemade ranch dressing & pico de gallo. The portions are very generous and tasty. If you want delicious authentic Mexican fast food this is the place to go.

    2 Enchilada Plate

#1 We ordered, our first time at this location through door dash. The cashier did not have great customer service. My bf asked for extra salsa the guy sharply repli that its all "rationed" and he would have to charge extra, (we have no problem paying as the order itself was pretty steep for quality of the 3 items) my bf jokingly replied and said oh you charge extra thats a first. And the guy once again sharply replied "thts all businesses dude" and the attitude was what caught us off guard once he continued with it. So I said ok "hey it's the first time he was just making a statement," he then walks to the back and starts telling his coworkers that he was upset csuse he was charging him extra (seemed to be intentionally speaking loud so we can hear) i waited at the counter to go ahead and purchase the salsa. And he comes out and says once again "hes upset because im charging" I respectfully replied to " no friend it's your approach and tone with us" And my bf told me not to worry about it he was going to leave a review. Guy jumps in and says "I could care less about what you guys have to say on there those reviews wont affect me I get them all the time." #2 we finally we got home and started eating the 2 Enchilada Plate and there was just straight globs of cold cheese in the enchiladas, and the rice was hard and stale. I myself can't risk eating rice that has been left to sit out due to the bacteria that rapidly grows on there. We love supporting local businesses as I had worked at a small business for 5 years and for the simple fact that they offer vegetarian options this is why we chose this place. I never had any encounters with my customers like this tonight. Which was def a bummer, because even if the food wasnt great we would have loved to try again but with the vibes and energy that were thrown our way we will not be going back. The lemonade was great though! lol I do hope they continue Making good business as it is the livelihood of many others, just maybe go over some routine manners so that no other supportive customers have the restaurant experience we did.

I am really loving the Vegan bowl option at Fresco Mexican Grill locations. Gives new meaning to the word, drive-thru. I can finally have a healthier alternative and not have to get out of my car, lol. As always the Vegan bowl was on point, affordable and very filling. The people working also provided me with excellent customer service.

I had lunch there, and i got the carbe asada bowl, and it was ok, but the meat on the dry side The bowl is not enough as a solo plate for lunch. I got their chips and salsa, and they were below average. The restaurant has a big parking lot spot There is no waiter service. I had a heartburn after that meal

First off it was a steady flow of customers for a Wednesday evening. Many birthdays! We were sat immediately and waiter came to take our drink order. I had a mango chamoy margarita, while my husband got a roasted chili cucumber margarita on the rocks. His drink was SPICY! I ordered the shrimp fajitas and my husband ordered the chicken and steak molcajete. Our food was brought out super fast! The portions - humongous! But the food is so good! My husband is super picky when it comes to Mexican food, and he said this molcajete is his favorite so far compared to other Mexican restaurants we've been to. The bright colorful colors and great music selection really make it joyous and fun dining experiences. Highly recommend.

I couldn't really taste the difference between the Paloma and the margarita ‍. The place is decorated really nice but what they should've focused on was making agood food. I'm so glad I only ordered appetizers because had I ordered food I would've wasted so much money. Birria tacos simply taste like red beef tacos, no real authentic flavor. Shrimp skewers I was told was okay but even that had more veggies than actual shrimps. The rice wasn't cooked all the way. The presentation on nachos was excellent but the nachos were gross. No flavor in guacamole. Beans were plain beans bland af. The chicken wasn't seasoned and had an awful charbroiled taste, just awful! The salsa weren't spicy or tasty. I can only recommend this place for a good happy hour spot because prices are outrageous for drinks. Once again they should've focused on the food than the decor.

Parking is street only, but trust me... it's 100% worth the hassle. From the moment we walked in, the experience was great. We were warmly greeted and given the option to get recommendations or browse the menu ourselves, which I appreciated. After taking our time, we ordered the chicken quesadilla, nacho fries, and a California burrito, along with salsa verde, chubbie salsa, and chipotle salsa. The food? Incredible. A solid 10/10. Everything was packed with flavor, the meat was juicy (not dry at all), and the salsas absolutely stole the show. On top of that, the staff really made the experience stand out. Everyone was friendly, attentive, and kept checking in to make sure we had everything we needed. Great food, great music (nothing but bangers the whole time), and amazing service. The place is pretty easy to find on the corner of 18th & R. There isn't a lot of seating for more than parties of 4. We were a party of 6 and we all smooshed into a horseshoe booth inside. There are only 2 of these booths available and they indicated they are not able to place additional seating at the booths. I imagine you might be able to put tables together outside for a larger party. We were greeted warmly, and while I felt overwhelmed by the amazing choices, the gal taking our order put me at ease by walking me through the menu board. We got amazing carnitas quesadillas and tacos and another dish that came on top of a mound of delicious fries. It's the kind of place where you order, then sit down and they bring you the food. We were well taken care of. Our drinks were refilled and they brought us 'to go' boxes. Their portions are generous and just tasty. And the iced tea was perfect! We ordered a full order of chips and salsa. That is extra. It was $6 for a full order ($5 for half) and these chips were well worth the cost. We will be back!
