Love it here!! I know I already left a review but I wanted to add that the customer service is top tier! My fiancé ordered the Black & Blue Filet without Blue Cheese and the waitress rung it up without taking off the Blue Cheese. When I told her about it she immediately apologized and after realizing she made the mistake she was honest and quickly fixed it. Since it had to be sent back and remade, they also brought out a fresh basket of fries for the inconvenience. We didn't need it nor expected it but that just shows the importance of their guest to them! Nothing bad to say here! read more

We came here because my daughter has a strict diet and is lactose intolerant. The entrance and the way the place is set up is very nice. The staff made her a special plate how she wanted that wasn't on the menu. They are very accommodating. My steak was cooked perfectly and had great flavor. The mashed potato's were definitely fresh mashed with a lot of butter. They were also great. Not over salted like some restaurants tend to do. The salmon salad my daughter got was very fresh and the salmon was cooked exactly like she wanted. My other daughter got the Cajun salmon which was also cooked perfectly for her. My son had steak and mushrooms and he didn't like the way they were prepared. The broccoli was not steamed as long as we like it but it had Parmesan cheese on it. The staff and the waitress were great. Very understanding, Kinsey was a great waitress. She was very attentive and checked on my daughter a lot. Definitely will be here again. read more

Good food and excellent service. All the staff here is super super friendly. They are very attentive and always makes sure your drink is full. I couldn't decided between the shrimp and grits or the burger so I asked the waitress for some help. She recommended the mushroom and provolone burger and it was so good! The entrees were so big, we couldn't even finish our meals. The only downside was that the mushrooms were a little more salty but I'm sure it's because it's been soaking in sauce. Absolutely Impeccable!! Since early December I've eaten there 6 different times, and it's perfect every single time!!!! My friend told me about this restaurant and asked me if I'd ever heard of it...I had not. We gather several time a year over a meal to celebrate our birthdays and especially Christmas! This year we decided to meet here! OMG!! All I can say is GREAT things about this place. Since then, I've taken my sister, my husband for our Anniversary, and this is our 'new' favorite restaurant!! My husband and I are very selective about our food and the ambiance of where we eat. We usually eat out once a week for date night, so we have a good bit of experience with local restaurants! He was blown away by the service as well as the quality of our meal. My sister is similar and has been back several times on her own! I just cannot say enough about how perfect each visit has been. Consistency is probably the best term for it. We have eaten at all times of the day/evening and have had different wait staff. Each time, has been impeccable! I am a salmon lover and have had the grilled salmon with fresh asparagus and also the fresh broccoli. Perfect!! My sister has the filet steak with fries and their homemade French fries are the bomb! My husband had Ribeye with homemade fries. Perfect!! My friend has food sensitivities so they were able to accommodate her accordingly cooking her food to specification! First and last time here. Starting off you walk in and there's no one to greet you, you have to stand there until someone decides to come help you. Service was minimal at best with it taking 10 minutes just to get drinks. We started with the duo dip which literally took 2 minutes to come out quicker than the drinks which tells me nothing is fresh which didn't make it any surprise that the chips were stale and over salted. I ordered the blacked chicken pasta and the pictures you see are when I finished eating this was the most bland and unappetizing pasta dish I've eaten at any restaurant in hickory. My partner got a blackened chicken wrap and he said his was very flavorless also. Not once did the waitress ask us how the food was or if we needed anything else she served the food waited 20 minutes and brought us a check. If I was a server and seen someone push their plate away still filled with pasta I would've asked if something was wrong with it. Save your money and literally go to any other restaurant in the area. Social house has good pasta and so does backstreets. read more

I arrived when the restrauant was not busy. The chicken portobello, was dry and chewy. This is not the way it should be served. The brown gravy had a few slices of portobello. The gravy tasted bad due to the excess salt. Here is a suggestion, taste what you serve. The lady next to me ordered a different chicken dish. She said her chicken was Very Dry. Very mixed. Fresh Chef certainly doesn't describe the premises; dingy bar in the entrance way, several burnt out light bulbs over hostess desk, drab tired paint on the walls and a beat up floor. But the Portobello burger was a 10 out of 10. String fries not so much. Wife had Cajun pasta with shrimp - pasta and shrimp were nicely cooked - but bland. Cajun wasn't in that day I guess. Instantly attracted to what was on the menu... I've ordered from there several times now and I must say, "the taste" of the meals that I ordered were outstanding.... The only downfall to some of these meals is that they don't come with a small side salad. You can order one for extra though... The staff is very friendly and the establishment is clean. I have been twice and the food hasn't disappointed, but the service is bizarre. Zero communication and consistency between staff, they are overbearing as several wait staff try to attend to you and keep asking the same things. Again, food is delicious, but it was a stressful dining experience with the lack of consistency amongst staff. Also, no music so atmosphere is wack. read more
