If you're not down to be around a crowd, don't go on Wednesdays. They are really great for their produce, as well as Halal meat, nuts, and spices. I also like olive oil imported from Greece, and they stock it. You can also get unique cheeses and middle eastern yogurt. The good news, is for those looking for "American" ingredients, you can find them there as well. The bummer-in the refrigerated section they don't do the best job with keeping an eye on dates. For example, I purchased some boiled chickpeas and they were bad (spoiled). Some of the tabouli salad lacked brightness and looked like it was time to get off the shelf. The staff has always been friendly with me, and the lines move very fast. Another bummer is the parking lot. It's CRAZY and I've almost been in so many accidents there. Be very very careful.

I told him I did not buy any bulghur, only masri rice and bulk chick peas listed at 0.49c/lb. The owner heard me and rushed over. The chick peas are not 49 cents he stated. "That was a sale and the sale ended yesterday." I said well if the sale ended, then remove the sign that says 49cents/lb. He answers "Ma Bady" meaning I don't want to. Instead of being worried that his cashier was charging me an additional $3 that he may be pocketing, he is arguing over a few cents in the cost of the chick peas. This owner needs a lesson in customer service.

I ordered a full sheet cake from Holiday Market for my grandfather's 80th birthday celebration, and…read moreit was honestly one of the most disappointing experiences I've had with a bakery. This was a milestone event for our family, and the cake completely missed the mark. The texture was dry and crumbly, the flavor tasted stale, and the overall quality was nowhere near what you would expect for a custom celebration cake. It was not something I felt comfortable serving to guests, which was both embarrassing and frustrating given the significance of the occasion. What made matters worse was how the situation was handled. After reaching out to the store, there was no sense of urgency or accountability from the team. I was told I needed to drive back across town and bring the cake in for them to examine it--something that frankly should have been ensured before it was ever sold. For a large, pre-ordered cake tied to a major event, that level of quality control should be a given. I also spoke with Matthew, who was dismissive and unhelpful. There was little to no empathy for the situation, and my concerns were not taken seriously at all. The overall response felt like an inconvenience to them rather than an attempt to make things right. If you're considering ordering a cake for an important occasion, I strongly recommend going elsewhere. Based on my experience, the quality and customer service at this location are simply not reliable.

Much more than a fruit market, this 7-Eleven sized vendor is very nearly a full-line grocery store…read moretucked back in one of the end-caps of a small strip mall (or "lifestyle center" if you want to believe the Canton planning commission). You can't get everything you want here, but then again, about every other time we go to Meijer they are completely out of the very thing we are going there for. The meat is always a great deal and good quality, but plan on using it the same day. For some reason it doesn't seem to keep in my fridge as well as meat from the big chain grocers - not sure if that is a good or bad thing. They have some specialty marinated varieties, Dearborn sausage and a full deli line as well. While the namesake of the store, the fruit isn't actually the high point of this store. It is a fairly timid line-up of staple fruits that Randazzo's down the road easily beats (although I am not sure that is a fair comparison). There are specialty ethnic items in the dairy section, an olive bar, and lots of fresh baked goods from a Dearborn bakery. Whether you are stopping for some hummus and grape-leaf rolls for lunch, or grabbing dinner fixin's on the way home from work, this neighborhood establishment is well worth frequenting. PS - Go ahead and try one of the date cookies at the checkout counter. You know you want to.

They are a family run business and you can tell that they try their very best to satisfy any customer need. They are very friendly people, always welcoming you into the store. I can tell they are well liked in the community because every time I stop in, their always laughing with other customers, and that is always good to see. Also, Darin E, I have the same problem as you. Their meat does not last as long as the meat you would get in the supermarkets. Curious as to why, I went to Mango's and asked them why that is. They told me that supermarkets like walmart, kroger, etc. actually put red dye into their meat so that it can stay red for longer in the packages. Not knowing if that was the truth or not, I went home and did some research. Come to find out, their actually correct. It is perfectly natural for meat to start turning brown. When meat touches oxygen, it will naturally start turning brown. If meat doesn't turn brown after a day or 2, that is when you know it has been altered in some way. When I ask them any questions, their very nice and informative so never be reluctant to ask them questions! They also have never used pink slime like the big super markets have and still do. They showed me that they get their meat in vacuum sealed packages and grind the meat fresh daily. Once I bought my steaks and chicken breast from them, I have not once went to any super market for their meat. You can honestly taste the difference in their meat. The chicken is not rubbery like the stuff I get in Meijer or Kroger. The tenderness and taste of their steaks is just great. It's okay not to believe me, but just try it for yourself! They are very reasonably priced, considering they get USDA choice and up. Grocery section is a little pricey, but I am sure they don't get the same prices the supermarkets would get so that is understandable. Overall, I really love this market and always enjoy stopping in whenever I need something. I have referred my family and my friends to go there because I know they would be just as satisfied as myself. I really hope they succeed and continue to stay in business so I can continue to shop there. Keep up the good work Mango's!
