I love fresh kitchen any day any time. With the events going on we have been ordering food online for the office. The flavors are good, I love the sweet potato noddles and the steak. Unfortunately the people making the to go orders are not reading the orders correctly. We ordered about 7 to go bowls online. Mine in particular was missing the steak... they up charge you $2.00 and mine had none. I ordered the 6 bowl with both chicken and steak. I was so disappointed. We will not be ordering to go from fresh kitchen, someone else's order was wrong, and someone's was missing the sauce. My manager was missing her chicken.....Unfortunately we are unable to go back as everyone is working and can't drive back and they only have delivery through uber eats so they wouldn't be able to deliver what was missing. I have attached pictures that show they even put the description of the bowl on the to go order but it was still wrong. Please double check your orders. read more

Very excited to try FK and so I made way there for their grand opening. I must admit, I've been to several grand openings and FK definitely did it right. I enjoyed it so much (food pictured) I ventured back there today. My only critique today would be to teach the staff to scoop consistently. I ordered the kale, and the young man filled about half of the scooper up. I mean, it's just lettuce, and it's meant to be the base so I think they should provide more than one scoop for the lettuce. The ahi, which is an upcharge, was also given out in smaller spoon than the rest of the proteins. If you're going to charge more for less, than that doesn't really make sense? I'm all for the upcharge but the portions should be comparable. Albeit I do have an issue with the portions, the flavors and combos are superior to other similar chains such as Bolay. Unfortunately today my total was $15 for a bowl (tuna and avocado upcharge) that left me unsatisifed portion wise, so I don't think I can frequent the place. At the grand opening I couldn't even finish my bowl, so not sure if today was just an fluke. I'd still encourage anyone to try them out - flavors and quality is VERY good! read more

This was our second visit, because we wanted to give it a fair chance, but for the second time, we were disappointed. The bowls we ordered were filled about halfway, maybe slightly more. And for the second time, we left hungry. And we're not big eaters. The food is ok. I'd call it good, not great. I guess you'd describe it as "healthy fast food." But the biggest issue is quantity. Simply not enough food for the price you pay. I see others have pointed out the same issue in their reviews, but it clearly has not been addressed. I love Fresh Kitchen but this location fell short of my expectations. The Chicken was cold & tasted burnt, The mash wasn't warm, & The kale Caesar is my favorite thing on the menu but at this location the kale was super hard. I usually frequent the Davie location and I'm guessing they spend more time massaging the kale or something because the comparison in texture is like night and day. I finally got a chance to try FK and it was pretty good. The line was kind of long but I enjoyed my order. Of the new age healthy/ Chipotle knockoffs (I'm talking about you too Bolay) FK is up there on my list. I would say I enjoy Chickpea, Blaze Pizza, FK, followed by the rest. I would have to return to see if that holds true, but for now it's good. Back to the food, I had some kind of coconut ginger rice, kale salad, mushrooms, BBQ chicken, almond chicken and white sauce. Fresh kitchen has an amazing concept. the same concept as a bolay or a chipotle. plenty of fresh options and room for creativity! awhen you first walk in the restaurant you stay to the right and go up to the counter to start your order. they have a couple of different options for bowl sizes and i usually get the large so that i am able to get 2 meals out of it. The decor is really bright and everything is very well organized. The staff were all friendly and helpful. they were able to answer all of my questions and made plenty of really great suggestions. Last time i was here i started with the vegetable quinoa and the kale slaw bases. both were delicious and full of flavor. For vegetables i chose the sesame green beans and the parmesan broccoli. i am not a huge fan of parmesean but the flavor was not overpowering at all and both vegetables were very fresh and full of flavor. Now for the proteins, they have a couple different types of chicken, and an ahi tuna, a tofu, and then recently they added steak. I chose the grilled citrus chicken but i am not a fan of tofu or tuna so I felt a little limited on the other protein options. i definitey didn't want to overpower my bowl with another helping of chicken and was really hoping that they would have some sort of shrimp. in the end i chose the steak and to my surprise, the cook it to order when they are not busy so it wasn't too tough and didn't taste old at all. I saw them cook it, it was nice and hot and I knew that it was fresh when it was put in my bowl. i do wish that the chicken was hot as opposed to the luke warm temperature that I received it as but it all tasted fine so I wasn't too upset about it. I had the cucumber jalapeño sauce on the side which didn't have enough of a "kick" for me but the flavors really complimented everything i got in my bowl. i also added kale pesto tomatoes for $1.50 which was definitey a little steep. in total my bowl came to $12.95. In the end, it is around the same price as bolay, is the same concept but i do feel like i get slightly more food at fresh kitchen. I like that Bolay is able to offer shrimp as an option but fresh kitchen really is delicious! i do feel like it's a little bit of a heavier meal so i recommend coming here for dinner. read more

The Holy Kale sauce was tasty on my cold part. I wanted some different veggies other than broccoli and green beans, maybe brussel sprouts or zucchini. Mushrooms were earthy and went well with the lemon chicken. My friend had chewy green beans; like they've been sitting thete, bbq chicken that tasted spicy and didn't like the brown rice. My quinoa and kale mix went well with the tuna poke. But, again, it just didn't seem enough meat- lemon chicken; as she scooped what was left in her bowl for me....felt like they should have had more. Tried their strawberry drink. Horrible experience. Portions are very small for the price. They measure food portions down to the grain of rice then dont offer to replace food when they lie about the contents. Saw one of their employee's picking at food with a toothpick and eating over the food served to customers. Not very appealling. I have eaten here several times with only some success. This past Saturday I wanted to grab a side of sweet potato noodles to go. The girl at the counter told me that I could not do that but I could purchase a kids bowl instead. Puzzled, she then explained that"this is a bowl building concept restaurant." I then pointed out that I've added sides to bowls before so why can't I buy them separately? Basically she just said she won't so we left. On another occasion after wanting to exchange my protein, I was told that "the chicken isn't dry because it's marinaded in fruit juices." Clearly the chicken had been sitting, burnt, was well done and the last of a soon-to -be replaced item for the next group. Complete dismissal and Bizarre reasoning with no resolve for me. I thought for sure the staff knew enough that when a customer has an issue or requests to purchase items off the menu, they would accommodate and make sure Id want to come back, not leave to write a review that's negative. This place is by far one of my favorite places to eat!!!! Every time I've been there, the steak has been on point!! I'm not sure if it's the manager or the owner but I had a situation once and he took care of it and then some!! I'm very appreciative to that kind of attentiveness.
