There's nothing in this market that's fresh. Prepackaged Iranian food and nuts. But nothing fresh. Not a whole lot of selection.

I visited this store for the first time this week because I know they sell fresh and gourmet items…read more The place is know for their cooked and prepared items, which unfortunately did not get a chance to explore because the line was relatively long. They had pretty good selection of seafood, produce and cheese. Everyone was compliant and wore a mask. The place was small and social distance was impossible. I knew I did not belong there as I was the only Asian person in the store. Overall, I got most of what I needed: chorizo, jamon, gouda pesto, manchego cheese, chevre cheese, hand soap, brioche rolls (on sale), eggplant (on sale), and sunflower oil (on sale) for a little over $30 and most of it was not on sale. I would definitely return when it's not crowded to explore their prepared foods and maybe purchase produce and seafood. Yay I'm a fan because I brought specialty items for an upcoming virtual wine tasting event next week.

I suspect that this is the work of the owner, who is the same man who ran the store way back when it was C-Town. It goes without saying that what he's doing is not only grossly unethical, but just plain gross, and a serious health hazard. This store should be shut down.

Shopping has become a high intensity mental workout for me, I used to get hungry when I food…read moreshopped and now I completely lose my appetite and feel a food borne illness slowly creeping into my body as I enter. Before I go to a new grocery market to shop, I am not looking for price comparisons, I don't know exactly what I am looking for, maybe a sale on a mystery pallet liquidation of foods as shopping among people in tight confines is becoming more and more unpleasant. I would roll the dice and see what I get, like a gameshow - the showcase showdown. So I typed into a search "Long Island Grocery Stores" hoping to find some information that would keep me from my new phobias and here is what I got instead. 1. Shootings in the parking lots 2. Workers beating pork against the ground 3. Big stores buying the smaller stores and the accompanied protesters and some weird woman with a bleached blond helmet head that is a psychic(?) I saw someone with a salted and sweet-butter sweatshirt shopping the other day, she was in aisle 3 and breathing really heavy in front of the Redi Whip and talking muffled into her phone, she sounded like a dying saxophone. Being the overworked owner of a new business that focuses on gardening, I look to the produce first - Bell Peppers, 99 cents a pound, broccoli and eggplant the same - but I had to take a peek, just a little peek at the meats and a rumble began in my tummy. Porterhouses, ribs, and brisket will run you $8.99 to $10.99 per pound -- more for what they consider the better stuff - they never show those in their circulars. I talked to a neighbor that I was trying to avoid, she's a loudspeaker chattering whiny little bird but she is nice enough and means well. She saw me and cornered me to tell me about man and god and war and food prices, so i faked a smile and excused myself to get to the checkout line that gave me additional feelings of dread as the lines were long and slow. I took a deep breath and held it, I wondered if I could passout under the bright lights and get away from this experience as quickly as possible. Instead I resorted to steady breathing and went about the overpaying experience.
