I should just give 0.5 star. These guys selling Rohu Fish which people eat mainly in Bengal, Odisha a lot. I got a 5 lbs fish pretty decent size. They have messed up the fish with weird size. Not a single piece in sync. They said they know bengali cut. They have no clue what is Gada Petti. The owner should stop selling Rohu fish. Based on the review, I had lot of hopes for this place. Got goat meat mix and whole chicken yesterday. Goat was $13.99 per lb and we got 1.73lbs. I was cleaning the meat today and saw 0.5 lbs is all bones. It's a disappointment when the meant costs so much. The rest of the goat pieces also had 50% bones in it. Having bobes gives flavor to the dishes but i would not want ¹/³ of my purchase to be all bones. Wonder if I should return to the store for my next purchase or go back to whole foods. read more

I have bought goat meat from this store multiple times, and I have pointed others to this store as well. The place looks clean and is convenient in a great location i.e. the heart of Fremont and right next to Bharat Bazaar. However, the pieces they sell are too small and not suitable for any dishes. We do not use that small pieces even in curries so it just does not work for us. I have received the same feedback from the folks who I have recommended this place to. Quality of the meats are good but like others have mentioned if you are buying goat mix, sometimes you will feel cheated as they tend to add a lot of bones. In one of my recent purchase nearly 60% of the order was bones and it was really hard to influence them to do better as they would suggest you to buy goat leg or shoulder if you want boneless. I did not give up on your store and gave it benefit of doubt. However, I was very careful not to buy the mixed goat meat again, but chose a 2 lb thigh this time around. It was surprisingly good and hardly took anytime to cook. Lesson learned: Don't take the risk and try the mixed goat as one would not know what kind of goat it is (small or large).
