This is one of my husband's favorite restaurants in the area.. Especially so because of his fondness for Cheesesteaks, which he says that their is the best in the area.. Their fries are also good and crispy. Me, on the other hand find their food to be good, but am so off put by the attitude of the cashiers that I hate to go there. There is a blonde lady (i think she might be the owner) who is not rude, but curt and certainly NEVER friendly.. This has been the case every time that I have ever gone there (maybe 8 times)..She always acts like she really doesn't give a s__t if we eat there or not.. Wow, that is certainly not how I would run my business. Now I just prefer to not go.. The people at The Grill at 11 Union are way nicer and their cheesesteaks and fries are just as good. read more

An extremely well done take on this type of restaurant! Ordered a double cheese burger and fries. Came out hot and exactly as described in under 5 minutes. Burger was a 'crispy' griddle style - extremely tender and juicy. Fries were crispy and perfectly seasoned traditional crinkle cut. Several drink refills were offered and our baskets were cleared after we finished. Awful from the time we walked in. The cashiers were extremely rude and rushing us along. Then there was a kid in the cooking area. The guy making our food kept touching his hat and the cooler door and who knows what else and never changed his gloves. Fries were ok. The burger had an "off" taste. I opened my bun and the burger was a gray color, like it was spoiled. My daughter said hers was bad too, she 10. Stop searching for the flavors and freshness you were missing and rush to Fresh Off the Grill. It is a hidden treasure tucked back in far corner of the shopping center at Harris Rd and Poplar Tent next to Subway. We had forgotten about it during the pandemic when we couldn't go out but rediscovered it after we found they had a drive up window. Then after we received our Covid vaccinations they have become our place for special treats. It's not much for the eyes to look at and the inside is small and cramped especially at lunch but the menu is extensive and everything has been excellent and reasonably priced. The Cheese Steaks are some of the best south of Philly. They don't have cheese whiz but use provolone and the bun can't contain all the meat they try to stuff into it along with grilled onions and peppers. The fries are double fried. The patty melt and onion rings are better than we've found elsewhere. And stay away from the double cheese burger unless you have a very loose jaw. The meat is fresh and not pressed flat like burger chains. You can get blue cheese, pimento cheese or whatever cheese you desire. And get a cup of chili instead of the fries - just the right amount of spice. So far, everything we've tried has been Fresh Off the Grill! read more

The staff were friendly. Now that's out the way, I wasn't paying for hospitality, I came to eat. I ordered a patty melt with fries to go. The fries were bland and had no salt or taste of potato. The Patty melt had ZERO flavor. Between the bread, the cheese, the meat and the ONIONS there was no flavor to be found in the sandwich. HOW?!! How do you make it so that even the onion has no flavor? SEVERELY disappointed. Usually if I'm at a restaurant and didn't enjoy my meal, if I'm asked how it was, I'd white lie and say it was good because I want to spare feelings. We stopped in here today after my daughters college graduation, her choice. We were looking for a good, fairly quick stop before getting on the road for another hour or so drive. Quick is exactly what we got. I ordered the mushroom and Swiss burger with fries and a water. My wife and daughter got the Turkey club with fries and we all got waters. Our orders were at the table about 2 minutes after we sat down. Both the girls agreed that the club was great with the perfect amount of everything. We all said the fries were good and the seasoned salt was at a perfect consistency and they were cooked correctly. I personally hate under cooked or over cooked fries. As for my burger, it was good but I had to add ketchup because it was a little dry. Most Mushroom and Swiss burgers have the mushrooms in some type of gravy or sauce or something but these were just heated mushrooms. It was still delicious and I ate every least crumb. The best burger and wing joint in the area. The wings are my personal favorite so that's what I'll focus on. I think they don't get enough recognition! They're always crispy and moist! And their sauce is just what I want in a wing sauce. Good heat, good coverage, good flavor. The rest of the menu is typical burger and sandwich joint fare. Nothing out of the ordinary but they always come through with good consistency. I wish they had longer Sunday hours but I respect them for taking some time off. Made several attempts to this location , only to find it closed on days that it should have been open according to hours posted on door. Not sure why that was. I have been to this restaurant several times over the past year and decided that it was time to write a review. Here are my observations: 1. The food is great. I have had several items from the menu and never been disappointed with food quality. 2. The Concord location is cozy and clean (even the bathroom.) This place fills up quick because it is popular amongst locals. 3. Contrary to some of the other reviews that I read, I have never had any issues with customer service (with any person) at least not at the Concord location. In fact, during our last visit my wife and I joked and talked with the two girls working the register. They refilled our drinks without having to be asked to do so (which is one way that I gauge customer service at restaurants. 4. I don't know what the people that gave this place any type of positive reviews but it was terrible. My 8 year old took one bite of the hotdog and said, "this is terrible". I had to take him to McDonald's after we left this place. He didn't even want to finish his Pepsi at this place it was so bad.
