Overall the spring rolls are ok. I ordered a lychee boba tea. On the boba menu the lychee is only listed under the smoothie section. So I assumed that is what I was getting. I had a dear friend visiting who loves Pho, so another friend and I decided to treat him to fresh rolls. Feeling adventurous, I opted not to order the pho and instead tried the Vietnamese BBQ chicken sandwich (banh mi), and it was hands down the best banh mi I've ever had. The chicken was incredibly flavorful, and the creamy mayo sauce inside was simply delicious. It was perfectly balanced with mint, cabbage, carrots, cucumber, and jalapeño, making it both satisfying and refreshing. This spot has definitely become my new favorite for banh mi. We also indulged in the pork and shrimp spring rolls, which were generously filled with veggies and meats, and the dipping sauce was exceptional. It was a perfect appetizer while we waited for our banh mi and pho. Both of my friends ordered the beef pho and raved about how amazing it was. Like the banh mi, it was bursting with flavor and generously portioned with noodles and meat. I tried the broth and was blown away by its zesty flavors. Despite the shared parking, we found front parking easily, and the interior was impeccably clean. The staff greeted us warmly upon arrival and were incredibly polite and attentive throughout our meal. There were plenty of tables inside to dine comfortably. I also noticed they offer a selection of boba teas and fruity drinks, so next time I return for a banh mi, I'll definitely try one of those. Needed a change from my typical lunch go-to's. I have nothing negative to say about this Fresh Rolls location. Service was fantastic, the two ladies working where great. I ordered takeout in person at Fresh Rolls. The parking lot was tight but looks like there was more space in the back. The food was ready in less than 10 minutes, we were just in and out! I haven't tried this location before but since the U.P. locations is under renovations I came here. They have a tofu lemongrass rice plate that is so freaking good! The food is savory and perfectly seasoned. My only hiccup is that the tofu banh mi has such big chunks of tofu I wish they would cut them up more, other then that we really like this chain and they need to open one in Auburn! read more

My 2nd time here. The lady who works the counter recognized me immediately which is always a nice gesture and inviting. The last time I just ordered fresh spring roll and boba tea for my daughter. This time we chose 2 different Bahn Mi' sandwiches and 2 different boba with spring rolls. Unfortunately i was so hungry that I forgot to photograph the food first. Nothing negative to say here! The place was very clean, offered front parking and around the back of the store. No one else was ahead of us so we didn't have to wait long before we were greeted by a sweet lady. There were only a couple of tables inside for seating, but it seems most of their business is to go orders anyhow. From what I've seen on Yelp, it also looks like they typically have rolls premade and ready to take home from a fridge case. I'm sure with COVID they have stopped this momentarily. We order a 2pc chicken spring roll and 2pc bbq pork spring roll. We took them to go and ate in the car. They were nicely packaged in a standard sushi style jewel case. They were huge! An amazing steal for the price (about $5-6 per set). The ratio of protein to veg was awesome. They had a really bright, fresh flavor with a lot of texture. And did I mention the huge cup of peanut sauce?! Easily the best one I've ever had. It wasn't overly peanut buttery, and had a lot of garlicky salty flavor. The perfect complement to these rolls. I stopped by for a bite to eat on my way out of town. I got the Vietnamese dry noodle bowl with chicken. It was delicious and fresh. I did wish they were a little more meat but the flat was all there. Service was courteous and helpful. There wasn't much ambiance so I'd recommend doing take out and going somewhere with a nice view! Stop by to grab some Boba/milk tea and a snack, using yelp, I quickly realized the location and luckily parking was available up front. The location is slightly busy with limited parking so be mindful, as you may get stuck parking in the back lot and that's a no go for me. Walking in, the place wasn't very different from the previous establishment, not much branding done. We quickly realized that we can at a wrong time and had a slight language barrier. Since our initial reason was to get Boba and finding out they don't do milk teas and were out of jelly and tapioca we got pretty bummed out from there. We still ordered less the added goodies and grab a spring roll to go as well. I quickly remembered why I don't come here and it's because "Fresh" Rolls, don't always mean, "fresh." I really like how clean it is here. A lot of the great pho places in the area are lacking cleanliness in Tacoma, but this isn't one of them. The younger girl at the counter was very friendly. I could tell the older woman wasn't impressed with our MSM sandwiches we brought in, but didn't say anything to us so I appreciated that. This place was awesome the first couple times I visited it since it opened...However, I visited it today and was pretty disappointed. My fresh roll wrappers were HARD, this happens when they are not in the hot water long enough before being used in the wrap. The fresh rolls were also about 50% smaller than the rolls I have gotten on my previous visits (I always order the veggie fresh rolls). Also I ordered pho here for the first time today...the pho came out and was lukewarm, and when I bit into the noodles they were barely cooked and still pretty HARD!! I sent the pho back and they quickly remedied the problem, bringing back out some nice hot pho (that I have come to expect from pho places) and all was well...I didn't have the heart to send the fresh rolls back too...even though I wanted to....I know I need to work on being assertive...and they weren't inedible, just kinda hardish on the corners... I really really liked this place the first couple times I ate here...and I REALLY appreciate having another vegan/vegetarian option in Tacoma...I just hope they fix the problem and provide more training or something so that the food is consistent. The soup was already mixed with the noodles and everything which I found strange, every other restaurant separates them for pickup orders. I love Fresh Rolls and have ordered from the Gig Harbor and Lakewood locations a number of times. Today was my second trip to the U.P. location and nope never again. The broth had no flavor for the Pho and was greasy :(. She told me they were out of bean sprouts but failed to mention the extra veggies I paid for would be carrots only.
