    8" BBQ Chicken Sandwich
    Seth F.

I had a dear friend visiting who loves Pho, so another friend and I decided to treat him to fresh rolls. Feeling adventurous, I opted not to order the pho and instead tried the Vietnamese BBQ chicken sandwich (banh mi), and it was hands down the best banh mi I've ever had. The chicken was incredibly flavorful, and the creamy mayo sauce inside was simply delicious. It was perfectly balanced with mint, cabbage, carrots, cucumber, and jalapeño, making it both satisfying and refreshing. This spot has definitely become my new favorite for banh mi. We also indulged in the pork and shrimp spring rolls, which were generously filled with veggies and meats, and the dipping sauce was exceptional. It was a perfect appetizer while we waited for our banh mi and pho. Both of my friends ordered the beef pho and raved about how amazing it was. Like the banh mi, it was bursting with flavor and generously portioned with noodles and meat. I tried the broth and was blown away by its zesty flavors. Despite the shared parking, we found front parking easily, and the interior was impeccably clean. The staff greeted us warmly upon arrival and were incredibly polite and attentive throughout our meal. There were plenty of tables inside to dine comfortably. I also noticed they offer a selection of boba teas and fruity drinks, so next time I return for a banh mi, I'll definitely try one of those. The prices were very reasonable; I spent less than $12 on the sandwich and a bottled drink. Overall, I highly recommend this place.

Needed a change from my typical lunch go-to's. I have nothing negative to say about this Fresh Rolls location. Service was fantastic, the two ladies working where great. I ordered the beef pho and the pork fresh rolls to go. I loved the broth on the pho- sooo delicious! The fresh rolls were also great- the sauce is seriously addictive. Tight parking but overall a good, solid restaurant for lunch or dinner!

I ordered takeout in person at Fresh Rolls. The parking lot was tight but looks like there was more space in the back. The food was ready in less than 10 minutes, we were just in and out! The rolls were delicious - I ordered the tofu and vegetable, and the beef spring rolls. The beef wasn't too chewy and the wrapper on both was still soft. It all just tasted so fresh! The thai iced tea with tapioca was pretty decent as well.

I haven't tried this location before but since the U.P. locations is under renovations I came here. They have a tofu lemongrass rice plate that is so freaking good! The food is savory and perfectly seasoned. My only hiccup is that the tofu banh mi has such big chunks of tofu I wish they would cut them up more, other then that we really like this chain and they need to open one in Auburn!

My 2nd time here. The lady who works the counter recognized me immediately which is always a nice gesture and inviting. The last time I just ordered fresh spring roll and boba tea for my daughter. This time we chose 2 different Bahn Mi' sandwiches and 2 different boba with spring rolls. Unfortunately i was so hungry that I forgot to photograph the food first. I was once again quite satisfied with both the presentation and taste of the food. Light, fresh and vibrant with flavor and just a bit of spice. Great value for your $ Parking is tight and it does take a bit longer to get your food due to one person show today, but the quality and health benefits over fast food greatly outweigh the time factor.

This review is based solely on tofu fresh spring rolls. The order was easy to make and they were ready when we got there. We felt like they were lacking a bit it flavor and would have benefited from some basil or something, but they were fine. The peanut sauce was good and the service was very friendly.

Nothing negative to say here! The place was very clean, offered front parking and around the back of the store. No one else was ahead of us so we didn't have to wait long before we were greeted by a sweet lady. There were only a couple of tables inside for seating, but it seems most of their business is to go orders anyhow. From what I've seen on Yelp, it also looks like they typically have rolls premade and ready to take home from a fridge case. I'm sure with COVID they have stopped this momentarily. We order a 2pc chicken spring roll and 2pc bbq pork spring roll. We took them to go and ate in the car. They were nicely packaged in a standard sushi style jewel case. They were huge! An amazing steal for the price (about $5-6 per set). The ratio of protein to veg was awesome. They had a really bright, fresh flavor with a lot of texture. And did I mention the huge cup of peanut sauce?! Easily the best one I've ever had. It wasn't overly peanut buttery, and had a lot of garlicky salty flavor. The perfect complement to these rolls. We'll be back to try the pho and banh mis!

We came here ordered "grilled chicken" fresh roll and grilled chicken bahnmi. Well don't expect to get grilled chicken it is more like thawed out chicken meat. The bahnmi was okay.. not delicious but would not plan to come back. However, I would say the lady working is so sweet.

    Strawberry Refresher tea, amazing!!!

The pork is not the kind you expect on bahn mi, which is weird, but it still tasted good. Nice people, clean place.

Wasn't feeling great about my decision after we had already ordered. The apple salad was very fishy. A little fish sauce goes a long way. It wasn't delicious. The shaken beef was okay, not great. They are indeed authentic!…read more I have been missing the smell and taste of staple Vietnamese dishes ever since I moved out of California a few months ago. I used to receive Mom's vietnamese home cooking frequently and I lived near the Asian hubbubs with easy access to all the cuisine, but now I have to discover new places here in Washington to satiate my taste buds. Everything I've tried so far has been good. I've been content. But here!! I ordered takeout through Doordash, and as soon as I picked up my food, an aroma of so many flavors filled up my car. Parking is kinda annoying since it's on the street but I arrived within 30 mins of opening hours so it wasn't terrible yet. The restaurant already had at least a table or so, with customers, so I wouldn't be surprised if it got busier later. There's a fair amount of space and tables for hungry stomachs! The food was about ready by the time I arrived, and the 30 min drive home left me feeling famished and ready to dig in. Thankfully, I was not disappointed. Everything was packaged well so that nothing spilled during the car ride, and everything was so yummy! I ordered more than I originally intended... I was craving com tam (broken rice) and couldn't find a satisfactory place near my residence, so I drove all the way here to Tacoma.. and then I figured, I might as well order their Banh Xeo too! The photos online made it look so good, and it ended up tasting amazing! Slightly crispy and stuffed just enough with bean sprouts, meat, and other goodies. Perfect after drizzling some of the sauce over it. The Com Tam was also made well, and definitely hit my cravings with its classic ingredients. I ordered a Large Pho Bo Vien (meatball) for my son, and was sooo tempted to eat some myself. The broth smelled fresh and the noodles were cooked nicely. Decent portions for everything, too. I definitely need to return to try out more of their food. So far, it has made me one happy Viet gal :)

This place is consistently busy. There's indoor and outdoor seating. The building is a small house and has enough space for about 20-30 people inside. Probably another 20-30 if outdoor seating is available. You seat yourself or order from the front if hou are ordering takeout. Tables get cleaned immediately as soon as people leave. Service is quick and the workers are friendly. Their bánh mì đặc biệt (deluxe sandwich) and the cà phê sửa đá (iced condensed milk coffee) are my typical go-tos. The sandwich has layers of meat and portioned appropriately. The pâté adds a rich umami flavor and the Vietnamese bơ (mayo) gives it a buttery flavor. The veggies are always healthy and seem fresh. Also their jalapeños actually have a kick unlike most places I've been to. I recommend this staple to anyone looking for a solid Vietnamese sandwich in Tacoma. Great place to chill and have coffee to start your day. They have other foods like noodle soups, stews, and a rice plate. I haven't tried any of them, but it might be something I might look into in the future

I ordered the calamari from the specials menu and the ginger steak pho from the regular menu. The biggest downside for me was the temperature inside the restaurant. It was one of those really cold, pouring rain days we've been having lately, and the dining area felt pretty chilly. I'm not sure if the heat wasn't on or if the space just takes a while to warm up, but it definitely stood out and I dreaded anytime another person opened the front door to let a rush of cold air inside. The other thing was how long the food took to come out. I stopped in during my lunch break, and from the time I ordered it took about 25 minutes for the food to arrive. Most pho spots I've been to are usually closer to the 8-10 minute range, so that was a bit of a surprise. I also saw banana cake on their specials menu, which I really wanted to try, but I ended up skipping it because I was worried it might take another 20+ minutes and I needed to get back to work. That said, the food itself was great. The calamari was fantastic and honestly should probably be added to their regular menu. It had a great crispy coating, was served hot, and the seasoning was really good. The texture was perfect too -- none of that rubbery calamari you sometimes get. I finished the entire plate. The ginger steak pho was also excellent, especially on such a cold day. I had never tried ginger steak pho before, but I'm glad I did. The broth was really comforting and helped warm me up, the steak slices were tender, and they didn't hold back on the ginger. The dish came with ginger already in the soup, the meat was wrapped with ginger shoots, and they even provided extra ginger on the side, which I happily added. Parking might be something to keep in mind if you visit during a busier time. Because of the terrible weather when I went, I got lucky and found parking right out front, but I could see it getting tight on a normal day. Overall, I would definitely come back. The food was really good, just plan for a little extra time if you're stopping in during a busy period.
