A very cheerful and welcoming display near the front door.

Banh Mi Ba Ba was a great stop and I had one of the best Banh Mi sandwiches in recent memory. The sandwiches here are bigger than some places that sell this type of sandwich and that's ok... because the sandwiches here are great and the more there is the better! I got the BBQ Pork Banh Mi and it was very good. Ingredients were fresh and flavorful. The BBQ tasted great that was on the meat too. It was a really pleasant meal. Atmosphere is kind of fun. There is a very cheerful and welcoming display as you come in the front door. The rest of it is a bit more basic but that's ok. This place has a fairly roomy dining area which is nice. The staff were very friendly and pleasant. Good experience all around. The Vietnamese Coffee is good... robust and strong which I kind of needed since I imagine I stayed up too late the night before.

I was looking for a quick snack while I was grocery shopping at H-Mart but was in the mood for Vietnamese food. It shares a parking lot with H-Mart and a bunch of other businesses so it's very convenient. It wasn't too busy when I stopped in and I only waited about 5 minutes for my grilled pork banh mi and che ba mau. I noticed a lot of takeout orders being picked up while I was waiting and a few people dining in. I asked for the bread toasted and veggies inside since I was only 10 minutes from home. The store was very spacious and had plenty of seating and the service was very nice. My banh mi was perfect! The bread was pillowy soft and the homemade pate and mayo made a huge difference from other dry banh mi. It's very filling and they are very nice to pack napkin as well. The jalapeno added a nice kick but was not overpowering and there was a lot of meat. My che was also delicious and I asked for ice separate but they had added it in which didn't bother me but it would have been even better if the ice wasn't as melted by the time I got home. Overall the price is great at $8.50 for the banh mi and $6 for the che. I'll definitely be back to try their other sandwiches!

This was my first visit to this location, and I ordered the chicken Banh mi. The sandwich was crafted perfectly, reflecting the traditional recipe with a crispy baguette, tender grilled chicken, fresh local vegetables, and flavorful condiments. It was by far the best version I have ever had, with every element balanced harmoniously to create a delicious and satisfying meal. The price was reasonable, making it an excellent value that didn't strain my budget. I look forward to returning to explore other items on the menu and experience more of what this place offers.

Newer Vietnamese food and drink spot that serves Vietnamese sandwiches, pho, Vietnamese coffee, other specialty coffee, bubble tea, and Vietnamese desserts. (Cost): $16.25 + tax (Location): Located in an area of Lakewood that is populated by a lot of Asian businesses and is currently being developed further, very close to an H Mart. There is plenty of parking. The only safety concern is that there are some abandoned/stolen cars that I've seen parked here, as well as one or two unsavory characters loitering in this center. However, the business itself is quite clean and roomy inside. (Service): The two young men I interacted with were pleasant, especially the one with the facial piercings. I ordered online and they made the drink on arrival because they were out of crystal boba, but it took less than 3 minutes. (Food): Tofu Banh Mi (5/5)-- The overall sandwich was great, but the bread really stole the show-- it was so soft and tasty. They put the vegetables on the side, which consisted of jalapeño slices, pickled carrots, pate, mayo, cilantro, and cucumbers. Quite filling and worth the price. Thai Milk Tea (2/5)-- I wasn't a fan of this drink. The boba was too soft and the Thai tea itself wasn't very flavorful-- it seemed more milk than anything. I will have to try another drink.

I happened to be in Lakewood running some errands and found myself absolutely famished afterward, so I decided to look up nearby spots--and I'm so glad I came across Banh Mi Ba Ba! Right away, I was drawn in by the photos of the interior of the shop from Yelp. The aesthetic instantly reminded me of my home country, Vietnam, with its charming small tables and chairs that give off such a genuine, nostalgic vibe of sitting outside enjoying Vietnamese food from street vendors. When I stopped by, it was pretty quiet inside with just two employees working, but the cashier was friendly, took my order promptly, and even complimented my hoodie, which I thought was pretty nice. There was a bit of a wait, likely because they were handling some advance takeout orders--I noticed a couple of people stopping in to pick up their food--but honestly, I didn't mind at all. I recognized one of the employees speaking Vietnamese to a customer, so I for sure felt right at home. The atmosphere made it a pleasant place to pause and soak in the ambiance. I ordered two bánh mì sandwiches (the pâté and the Ba Ba special) along with a Cococan sugar cane drink to go. First off, the value is fantastic--most of their large sandwiches are around $8.50, and they are HUGE. These are not your average-sized bánh mì! The fillings were incredibly generous--so much so that it was almost hard to keep everything in the sandwich. Even my teenage son, who usually finishes his meals without a problem, couldn't quite finish his. What was memorable for me was definitely the creamy pâté--rich, smooth, and packed with flavor. I also tried a bite of my son's Banh Mi Ba Ba special, and the meats were layered so well that you could taste a perfect combination of flavors in a single bite. I really appreciated that they thoughtfully packed the pickled veggies on the side in a neat takeout container without me even having to ask--it kept the bread from getting soggy, which made it easier to enjoy at a later timeframe. There isn't as many pickled veggies provided compared to my favorite banh mi shop in Sacramento though. As for the drink, the Cococan (a blend of coconut juice and sugar cane) was definitely refreshing. I didn't drink it right away so the ice had melted a bit, making the sweetness more subtle, but it was still really enjoyable. This was my first time trying a bánh mì spot since moving to Washington, and I am pleased that they live up to the bánh mì hype and Viet food culture! One thing to note is that the shop can be a little tricky to find since it's tucked into a corner of a large plaza, it's a fairly new shop so a proper sign hasn't been installed yet (still just a banner), and it's surrounded by other Asian businesses. They also offer pho, which was a bit of a surprise, but it seems like their main highlight is definitely the bánh mì--and they do it exceptionally well. I know I keep repeating myself, but if you're craving a genuinely authentic Vietnamese sandwich, you MUST try this place. You definitely get your bang for your buck here!

I got the pork bahn mi and a Thai tea. The sandwich was the best I've had in the area so will definitely be back. The inside is decorated so cutely and the food was up quickly.

My family went here once, however, they were closed. As we were there at 2:15 pm, a worker came outside to let us and another family know they would reopen back at 3 pm. I love banh mi so I really needed to try them out. Second visit was much more successful. I ordered the bbq pork banh mi ($8.50), char siu banh mi ($8.50) and fresh squeezed sugar cane juice ($6.50), with both sandwiches being toasted and ordered for takeout. They were all delicious, however, the pork bbq sandwich did not include pate as was mentioned in their menu and was the sole reason my husband ordered it. We will probably visit again and check that they include pate with the sandwich in our next order. As we did to-go, the greens (cilantro, carrot and daikon This place is very spacious. As it also sits with various other establishments like Shin Shin, there is also a plethora of parking stalls to park on.

Blown away by the customer service, portion sizes, food quality, and overall value. I got the classic bánh mì and the bread was incredibly fresh, honestly superior to most bánh mì spots in the greater Seattle area. You can really tell they bake the bread in house, along with their own mayo and pâté. Plenty of parking, which is a plus. The ambiance is also super cute and makes you feel like you're in Vietnam. Would definitely come back.

Staff was friendly but found/felt the first long hair while eating after couple bites, gave them benefit of the doubt as I thought it was maybe mine since I had similar hair length with the staff and the flavour was actually good (got pork). Found the 2nd hair when I opened it up to put the filling back as some was fell out while eating. Gagged/threw the rest out and all that after finding the 2nd one. First time as I just moved from Spokane and I wanted to come back originally and try rest of menu/pho since the flavour was there but anyone should probably consider their bites before hand just in case.

I stopped by on a Saturday morning to try this new banh mi shop. It's in the plaza with Hmart and is located next to Shin Shin. Upon stepping inside, I was impressed with how spacious it is. It's HUGE and there is plenty of seating. They had a limited menu for their soft opening. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We ordered 2 sandwiches and I also got the kumquat sugarcane juice. Of note, I ordered the sugarcane with less ice and it was a $1 upcharge. The sandwiches had a very generous helping of pate and the kumquat sugarcane was very refreshing. Highly recommend checking out this new spot!

Food and service was wonderful. Great atmosphere and very spacious. Could use a little more or a little less pate depending on who's preparing your banh mi. I normally get the bbq pork and pork party, give it a try!
