Had the #1 chicken sandwich meal and it was HUGE. The meal is so filling I couldn't finish it's definitely a sharing meal. Fries are hot and served right out the oil pan; they were a little dark so I'm thinking the OIL was NOT fresh but other than that all was tasty. I went around noon on a Thursday and the wait was not bad they give you a beeper to alert you when the food is ready for pick up. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. They use soybean oil which doesn't give you a greasy aftertaste and everything is fried FRESH. The prices are super reasonable and the menu is simple. I didn't like the place when it was Mom's Touch, so I decided to give it another shot after they rebranded. Came at 1:30pm on a Tuesday, place was mostly empty. Ordered the chicken sandwich with cheese ($6.50 after tax). It took about 10-15 mins, as expected since they fry the chicken to order. Here's the breakdown of the chicken cheese sandwich: Bun: The bottom bun was cold, which was the exact same issue I had before when Mom's Touch just opened. The bun was also sort of mushed down. Chicken: was ok- it was lopsided and uneven so one end was really thin and the other really thick. It was decently moist for being white meat, was also a decent size. I felt like the breading could have used a little more seasoning/flavor. The lettuce was clumpy- it wasn't a whole piece like at In-N-Out, nor was it shredded. It was sort of half chopped into nugget like pieces, and were strangely thick so they kept falling out. Others: The raw onions were very sparse, only maybe 2 pieces, could not taste them at all. Tomato was fine. The cheese was standard, and since the sandwich was pretty big, it got lost. Same with the sauce, it was hard to detect. Also, when this place was Mom's Touch, they had a ton of different sauces on the counter, now they only have two (BBQ and Sweet/hot). The Sweet/hot sauce was gross, it was extremely watery, barely any flavor. It tasted like someone put a pinch of sugar and cayenne pepper into a bottle of water. Overall, not that impressed. Only reason it didn't get 1 star was because the cashier was friendly, the bathroom was very clean, and the sandwich and chicken is a generous size. Randomly stumbled upon this great place while in Todos Santos and knew I had to try it. Fried chicken sandwiches are my current obsession and this place cures my cravings! The sandwich came with the hugest piece of fried chicken! On the sandwich you get lettuce, a special mayo based sauce and pickles. The chicken is super crunchy from how they fry it. Heard about this place before and when i visited last time (in july, i guess?), i was sad that it was closed for renovation.. and it opened again with a different name "fresh tray". The service was great, the owner was attentive and kind. The place was clean and it was renovated so almost everything was new that there was nothing i could complain about. The only thing i did not like was the variety of choice/menu. And would be better more options for portion of fried chicken. Decided to try out the new place. I ordered the chicken "burger" meal and 2 piece chicken wings. Cashier told me it would be 15 min for the wings. Chicken burger meal came out, took maybe 8-10 min. Generous amount of chicken. Looks like one breast cut in half, so it's thin. Very moist and crunchy. Sauce was tasty, but not too much of it. If you want it more saucy, ask for more, but it's not like it was skimpy. I added mustard since I like mine with a little more tang. Wings came out about 5 min later, totaling 15. The wings were a very good size, and it's a whole wing, flat and drum. This puts my mind at ease for paying 5$ for 2 pieces. Wings were moist, crunchy, and not greasy. The only sauces and other seasonings they had were bbq, sweet bbq, and onion cheese powder. Bbq was ok. sweet bbq has a little bit of spice to it. Onion cheese powder tastes like Parmesan cheese and sour cream and onion had a baby. It's tasty, but not something to go crazy for. Ambiance is nice, bathrooms are clean. Price is fair for what you get. Remember that your paying for quality and not speed. Could use more variety on the sauces but not necessary. I have been to Fresh Tray a few times. I get the number one and have them cut it in half for my husband and I to share. They never have a problem with the cutting in half. The fries are always so tasty. I love how they are seasoned. The sandwich always comes out so hot and fresh. I love the breading they use.
