2 Piece of Fish & Chips to go.

My 2 piece Fish and Chips was very good. The Fish were huge. My only thing is that I would have preferred that the batter was cooked a little longer. It was not as crispy as I am used to. I will definitely go back again. The staff was very nice.

Decent selection of your basic fried seafoods, some veg options.... No chowder today. Portions were satisfactory, Fish and 4 prawns, fish and 3 oysters... decent but not huge serving of fries, but they were nice and crispy! $45 out the door, tip included.

Stopped by yesterday after reading about this place on Nextdoor. I thought it was very delicious. I will return again if I am in the area.

No bad. If within a couple blocks go for it. For those that care they use soy bean oil. And definitely smells of oil in restaurant. Fried ok. $18 2 piece.

I honestly wish I had just gone to Long John Silver's instead. The prices at Tugboat Fish & Chips were absolutely ridiculous for the tiny portions they serve. For roughly $27, this is what you get: a small portion of food that looks nothing like what you'd expect for the price. I've had larger meals at fast-food restaurants for half the cost. The value is terrible, especially considering the quality of the food. Speaking of quality, everything tasted like it came straight out of a freezer and into a fryer. The fish, fries, and sides lacked any freshness whatsoever. The oil tasted old and overused, leaving everything greasy and heavy instead of crispy and flavorful. On top of that, the food had almost no flavor. I found myself reaching for every condiment available just to make it edible. The service didn't help either. The woman working the counter was extremely rude and impatient when I asked simple questions about the menu. If customers are spending that much money, the least they deserve is basic courtesy and customer service. The restaurant itself was also disappointing. The moment I walked in, it felt dirty and uninviting. The dining area looked neglected, and it immediately made me question my decision to order food there. Between the outrageous prices, tiny portions, bland frozen-tasting food, rude service, and dirty atmosphere, this was one of the most disappointing dining experiences I've had in a long time. I left feeling ripped off and regretted spending my money there. I won't be returning, and unfortunately I can't recommend it to anyone. For nearly $27, I expected quality food and decent portions. Instead, I got a meal that felt overpriced, underwhelming, and completely forgettable. I genuinely miss Long John Silver's.

Where to start? I was excited to try this place out due to the hype I've seen on Yelp. But was sadly disappointed upon entering. The place was outdated, and oldschool. Pretty much untouched from the start. When we walked in it wasn't busy, but the guy at the front desk was on the phone for about 3 minutes until he finally took our order. We ordered the calamari and chips, and Oyster with chips. Both 17.99 each! I had high hopes but was quickly disappointed. It took a whopping 45 Minutes to get our food. The food arrived and it was clearly battered and fried, but the quality of food was meh. Nothing exciting nothing tasteful. Just frozen fish and chewy calamari and old oysters. The Ketchup bottle was nasty, it had residue all over the top lid from other customers and old ketchup. Once we got home I had immediate sickness and had to throw up. Would not recommend.

Been eyeing this place for quite awhile and we finally tried it tonite. The spot was empty but based on the reviews, I had high expectations. We counter ordered the Combo A and C, and a 3 and 2 fish dinner, lumpia, and fried zucchini. Took a short bit to cook, but food was relatively quickly. Portions were large and piping hot. Batter was thin but crispy, seafood tasted very fresh, the zucchini didn't get soggy, and the lumpia was tasty. We received lemons on request, and tartar, cocktail, malt vinegar, ketchup, and sweet chili sauce in squeeze bottles. Food was excellent, no fishy taste, and like I said, large portions. Only Con was their fountain soda machine, which I prefer, wasn't working. Good service and good prices. We'll be back!

The hype is true! I knew when the owner brought out the ketchup he keeps in the back, it was refrigerated. Crispy batter, fresh tasting cod and the fries were perfect. Don't pass up a chance to visit this throwback establishment

Oh man!!! This is so good. Really reminds me of the fish & chips I had in London. The batter is light, airy, and CRISPY. The flavor of the fish shine through. It's not masked by heavy seasoning or salt. Great place! We ordered online and pick up was prompt in 20 minutes. The food came out of the kitchen as we walked in, and it was piping hot, fresh, and perfectly packed. This is definitely and MUST EAT place on our regular rotation.

Fish, prawns and chips. Could use more chips! ;-)

First time going to the Pleasant Hill location and it's as good as the one in Ramcho Cordova! I had the fish andbprawn special. Crispy and fresh! Hard to go wrong with a tried and true recipe. Highly recommend it! Nice seating area inside.

I've been coming to this place since I was a kid whenever I was craving fish and chips. A great little hole in the wall spot and MAN is their food delicious! Employees and owners are always nice and service is quick. Love this place!

We walked into the main area towards the entrance. We were seated promptly and waters were brought out. The menu has a nice variety of foods. I went with a turkey sandwich with a salad. Bf had a mushroom burger & fries. The burgers here are huge and looked hand-pressed (since it was falling apart as being eaten). The turkey was piled on high and tasted very good. My cappuccino however, was far too frothy. My buffalo chicken wrap truly hit the spot with its crispy chicken and non-overly flavorful buffalo sauce. Because the avocado was not smashed to give it that 'guacamole in a burrito texture,' the chipotle mayo spread therefore substituted perfectly as a pairing with the buffalo marinade. The waiter also honored my request for providing bread as a side for the soup and Ranch dressing along with my onion rings. The restaurant was surprisingly busy for a Tuesday afternoon but the ambiance was not overbearing. My last positive feedback concerns Jack's reasonable menu pricing. Jack's menu prices appear above par with its American cuisine competitors including Denny's and the Cheesecake Factory in respect of its food quality.

Walking in, the shop was small and cozy, but it quickly felt crowded. There were several teenagers squeezing past customers, getting into people's personal space, grabbing drinks without paying, and heading back outside. We figured this must be a common occurrence since no one seemed concerned. We ordered two drinks and a small pizza for a little over $31. The food came out hot and fresh, although the toppings slid right off the pizza because it was so hot. Clearly we didn't wait. Unfortunately, just before finishing our meal, we found a hair on the last slice. With our luck, it had to be the last piece. I brought it to the gentleman in the back and tried to keep the mood light. I jokingly said, "Yeah, looks like someone in the back might be losing their hair." Instead of apologizing, he slowly walked away and simply said, "I'll get you next time." There was no apology, no effort to get our name or number, and no attempt to make the situation right. Why would we trust there to be a "next time" when this was the perfect opportunity to show good customer service? A sincere apology should have been the bare minimum. Since none was offered, I asked if they could comp the pizza, which is a common way restaurants handle situations like this. Looking back, I wonder if my joke was taken personally because the two men working appeared to be balding. Oopsy. If so, that wasn't my intention, I was simply trying to lighten an awkward situation. He said he couldn't refund the pizza but offered to make us a new one. We waited while they remade it, and just before we left, we finally received a simple apology. Mistakes happen in every restaurant. What matters is how they're handled. Unfortunately, this experience left us disappointed, and because of how it was addressed, we won't be returning. We genuinely wanted to support a local business, but customer service matters just as much as the food. Please do better.
