I've been coming here for years and would drive from Chandler after I retired from my office in Scottsdale. ( office used to cater salads from here) Today just happened to have hiked the Tom Thumb Trailhead and decided to stop and pick up a few salads on the way home. Service has always been great and still is. The first bad news this wonderful lady shared was they did not have Bleu Cheese for my Park avenue Cobb so settled for feta. Oh yeah now tomato's aren't cherry tomato's like the menu says guess they haven't been around for a few months. I always take a pass on the egg and get Jalapeño and olives instead. Sorry no olives. Thanks goodness they still had my spicy miso dressing. In the past everything looked fresh and filled, not so much any more. It's an expensive salad and was worth driving for but not so sure I'll make the trip as I have in the past just to pick up what used to be an awesome salad. read more

Have been eating here for well over a year. The food is good, but you need to be open during the hours on the door and online. It has become a regular occurrence for the doors to be locked and closed during all hours of the day including during the lunch hour, mid afternoon, and dinner time. My most recent attempt to eat here was today, yet they were closed at 1:30 pm. I am very much for supporting local business and prefer to, but this place is making it harder than it needs to be. If they don't make it, the owner will need to look at the reflection in the mirror and have only one person to place blame. read more

We were in the area and of course we were hungry. We came across this quick serve and thought we would give it a try. I ordered a fifth Ave Cobb and a fountain drink. Like similar restaurants you follow your salad down the assembly line. They ask you how you will like it optioned and what dressings are available. The end product is fresh, tasty, and appealing to the eye. The freshness is reminiscent of Chipotle to me. If Chipolte did a salad business this is what I would envision. My friend talked about the Caleb bowl from the minute we got off the plane in Phoenix. Of course there are always certain eateries you just don't have many of in the Midwest. We were going to be in the heat so I opted for a smoothie with my favorite friend, ginger. It was filling and tasty. Ordered a Love Potion smoothie and it was the most inedible smoothie I've ever tried. It tasted like broccoli ice. It had no mango flavor. No sweetness whatsoever. It didn't even taste like maca. And I was really hungry. To the point where anything would have been good. Very disappointed. I asked to have more honey or something else added and they refused. Wasted $10. Tried freshbox today for the first time and was less than impressed. Portions were small for make your own, and the ingredients weren't anything special. If you are a vegetarian, or vegan, your options are more limited to basic toppings including just raw chopped up tofu. For the price you would expect a bit higher quality and variety on ingredient, comparable to other salad restaurants. Instead it's really your basic salad bar with a bigger focus on meat. It was probably what we ordered, by ended up throwing out the salad after a few bites due to the over powering and off putting salad dressing. The dressing tasted harsh, and really ruined the whole dish. However people really seemed to enjoy their salads when they ordered directly off the menu. The portions appeared larger and the dishes were well thought out. Next time would love to see roasted or seasoned tofu as an option, and one of the menu salads built for vegan/vegetarians. In short wouldn't travel out of your way to eat here, but it is an ok option if you are in the area and looking for a salad. read more

Fresh ingredients mostly salad with variety of proteins like chicken, tuna, red meat and tofu for toppings. Good price and good amount of healthy food, most people are order to go. Great healthy option! I got the Seoul food in a wrap. Overall, did enjoy my meal and it was really filling but did feel a little much at times. Was not a particular fan of the greens they put in because they felt a little hard to eat. However, would recommend for a healthy meal. I used to work in the area and Freshbox was my go-to for lunch. I haven't been in that part of town for a while and remembered my lunch spot, decided to give it a go. I was not disappointed. One of the things I like about FB, besides the produce is always fresh- not wilted or nasty looking, is the salad dressings that they make themselves. They have FLAVOR and a great mouth feel without relying on salt or mayonnaise or unhealthful oils. The snack/desserts that they offer tend to be on the sweet side for me but are still a nice treat. This is my second visit, the first was really good, today was ok. The food is fresh & healthy. It's like many restaurants today: made right in front of you, choosing each ingredient with a base package choice of preconceived items. I am a big soup fan & chicken tortilla sounded good, so I indulged & got the soup WITH my salad choice (heffer) lol. The soup is creamy but not a lot of ingredients average amount of chicken but not much else other than Beans! I hate beans but I choked it down anyway, I mean it's was $4. Top it off the soup was warm Not Hot but I'm not a big complainer so I choked it down, no it wasn't that bad but definitely not very good & how is its chicken tortilla with NO veggies, tortilla strips or anything other than beans? Is that what makes it "tortilla"soup? The prime thyme was good, plenty of shredded beef, but just lacking real flavor! So averaged it to 3 stars, I may return because there's not too much choice when I'm working out here. read more

This is a great place for lunch if you're up in north Scottsdale. I don't want to compare it Chipotle as it's nothing like it, but it has the pick-whatever-you-want concept going. It's a very fresh, healthy choice. Everything can be made into either a salad or a wrap. Since I'm not the biggest fan of salad, I went with the chicken wrap. They have a ton of options for both proteins and mix ins and it may take me a few more visits to perfect it, but it's still very tasty. Parking is easy since it's in a strip mall. read more

Oh boy do i love this place!! I was in town doing work at Quicken and this place was right down the road. First off i have to say the staff here is absolutely amazing!!! They were super excited to talk about the food and explain and answer any questions i had. The also were just very personal asking me about my day and how i was doing. The facility is small but perfect, there is also outdoor seating available which i enjoyed on the sunny 70 deg days i was there. Everything was very clean and well kept. The food! oh man! amazing! the menu is small, i thinks i recall around 10 items on the menu. All super fresh and all super amazing. They literally have a fresh produce cooler right behind them that they grab ingredients when making your food. I had salads both times i went there, i know they can make them into wraps as well. They flavor were just perfect and outstanding! I recommend anyone looking for a tasty fresh lunch to go here! you'll be hooked as i am. The menu is very heath conscious but amazing. i can't wait to come back here when I'm in town on business. read more
