What a difference since the last post. Previously I gave a poor review after multiple bad experiences with this location. Following that review, the manager, Nico reached out to me via the Yelp app. We stayed away from Flower child and inky recently decided to give it another chance. We were not disappointed. The Avocado cobb salad was back to the standard we originally liked. The personel were very responsive and customer focused. We didn't get too excited and thought maybe they are just having a good day and the old personel had the day off. So I went back to try again today. Wow this is like a new place. They were busy with less people than were working here before and yet the service was great. So was the bang bang beef. Flower Child is back in the rotation for our dining out places. The last time I went to flower, Child was in California. I'm really glad to see that we finally got one here in Scottsdale. The food was delicious as usual. I got the mother Earth bowl. Ordered flower child via DoorDash and when I opened my meal (salmon, Mac n Chz, and broccoli bowl) a fly came out of the bowl. It flew out and I immediately closed the lid and didn't eat it. Amazing meal and management/workers across the board. Has been awhile since I have eaten at this location as the last visit, quite a while ago, was not impressive. Wow is all I can say. The manager was spot on, food was so flavorful and hot/cold per item was perfect. I will be returning more often to say the least. The salad was excellent. Cajun shrimp was a skimpy portion, no spice. The Earth Mother bowl also seemed very skimpy, as if dine-in is a full portion, but to go orders they don't have to give the full amount. Brownie and cookie were good, but over priced. read more

Went there for the first time yesterday with my friend. The atmosphere is pretty casual where you order at the counter and they bring the food to you. I ordered the Poke bowl which is new on the menu. I thought it lacked a bit more flavor, and not all the ingredients jived well together. This was a great recommendation for a light dinner, especially for young athlete. We came into town for soccer & had an early dinner. EXCELLENT! I have been wanting to try this place for so long and I finally got lunch here today. We ordered through the app -- I ordered the Mother Earth bowl with chicken and my boyfriend ordered steak with mashed potatoes and sweet potato fries. My bowl was so so good -- even more than I thought it would be! There were so many different parts of the bowl -- ancient grains, red Chile glazed sweet potato, portobello mushrooms and charred onions, broccoli pesto, cucumber, avocado, leafy greens, hemp seeds and red pepper miso vinaigrette. All of these flavors went excellently together and created such a wholesome and delicious meal. This bowl would be amazing with any of the other proteins too. My boyfriend enjoyed his steak and potatoes. The steak was cooked well and the mashed potatoes were tasty. The sweet potato fries were a bit too crunchy for our tastes. They had plenty of indoor seating but it was pretty loud inside, they did have misters outside. The price range is $12-20 I would say for an entree. The lemonade with the green tea was SO good and not too sweet at all! I got the Mediterranean chicken kebab bowl and was slightly disappointed in the amount of food for $15- there were a few pieces of chicken, probably 3-4 oz, about a half cup of quinoa and some veggies. The sauce was great and it tasted good, but it was just a tiny portion. The cashew cookie was TO DIE FOR!!! It was so crispy and chewy, sweet, chocolatey, and just perfect. Really love the Flower Child. I enjoy the open concept dining room, and the decor is comfortable. I love the bench seating and the color scheme. You order at the counter, which is not my favorite, but the service is always efficient. I have been three times and I get the same thing every time. It is so fresh and good. When you're comparing the same dish to a previous visit, there are little variations. I guess, depending on the chef so the seasoning was a little heavy on salt the last time I went. Very disappointed with how this location has become so mismanaged. I order from here a lot, spending in the thousands of dollars over the course of a year. The staff at this location used to be on top of their game. Pick-up times were accurate, they would help you quickly etc. Much of that staff is gone, or works less frequently now. A couple of the old staff is still here and they still excel. However, much of the new staff is not good. Not sure if this is a lack of motivation, or a lack of training. Food has been cold on more than one occasion. Often times, food that is ready to be bagged, just sits there and gets cold because there is zero organization. I hope they resolve these issues soon and it goes back to how it used to be. read more

Wish it were table service all the way! The food is solid however not inexpensive. We had the special Koran Beef Hot Pot and Chicken Yakisoba. Both were very tasty although the Korean Hot Pot needed a lot more spice to be more authentic. They brought out sriracha for us. The beef was very tender and the bean sprouts had great flavor and were very crunchy. Drinks are a tad pricey at $9 for a hard seltzer! Our total was $52.18 for two bowls, a water and a seltzer. We have frequented Flower Child in Scottsdale many times and we have always been delighted and pleased with the quality of the menu items we have ordered. For those that are eager to try Flower Child, the ordering is done at the counter. All you have to do is find one of many tables that suits your mood (inside or outside), and once the order is ready the friendly servers bring the food to your table. After visiting Taliesin West, we were craving a salad for lunch; did a Yelp search, and this local AZ chain popped up a few minutes drive in the Scottsdale area. This is akin to Columbus' (Ohio) Northstar Cafe: a health-conscious eatery that centers on wholesome, healthy foods, organic as much as possible, made/cooked/baked fresh, with "Healthy You!" vibes. Open-concept kitchen. Lots of indoor and outdoor seating. Outside, they have timed misters all throughout their patio, which was incredibly awesome, as it was in the 110s (yes, that's degrees, folks ). Same as Northstar, you order at the counter, given a number, foods brought to your table. The menu is above the register. Several options - salads, sandwiches, a few hot dishes; you pick the protein to go with your entree (chicken, steak, salmon, tofu, shrimp). I enjoyed being able to customize my dish, adding of taking away. I picked the Turkey & Avocado Cobb, subbed ranch dressing instead of their gorgonzola vinaigrette. I also got a Lemon Olive Oil Cake to go. Loved the salad! The mix of lettuce did NOT include kale - I don't like fresh/raw kale, it doesn't cooperate with my no-stomach pouch, so I was very happy I didn't have to request a modification on that front. One negative - well, more of a pet peeve? - was that all toppings (except the corn) were all under the lettuce. I'm not sure if that's their style, or if a worker just forgot to toss my salad; I forgot to take a pick of my family's salads before they dug in, so maybe it's just me. Their water offerings - I forgot to take a picture - where, well, let me just say, I was completely impressed: Giant jugs with plain ice water, ice water with fresh cucumber, ice water with fresh sliced lemons and limes, and ice water with fresh raspberries! I was hooked on the lemon/lime, very refreshing and COLD! Oh! The Lemon Olive Oil Cake? Absolutely, 100 percent, truly phenomenal! Excellent real fresh lemon flavor (no lame sugary syrups used!), moist as fluff, BEST I'VE HAD TO DATE! I was a little disappointed in my recent visit because I ordered shrimp and the serving size was quite small and the shrimp was overcooked and rubbery (so maybe go with the chicken!) My sweet potato fries were over salted a a little burned. Sweet corn and quinoa though was fabulous-- I could eat this stuff for days! Decor is nice, but if they are crowded it gets *noisy*! I had high hopes since they are known for healthy food and have a high-ish price point for fast food. Well take out took over 30min for pick-up and despite showing up early and being told the food only needed to be bagged, no one acknowledged me for the 20+ minutes I stood off to the side or apologized for the delay. Not a big deal but also not above and beyond service. I was disappointed unfortunately also with the food. My partner and I ordered the Caesar Salad and Steak plate. Temperatures were luke-warm at best and both dishes lacked flavor unforunately. This is the best place to get fresh, healthy food quickly. It's a nice spot--especially the patio--if you want to dawdle, but it's just so nice to be able to get such good food so efficiently.
