First off, the outside of this building looks so welcoming, and you walk in and it practically screams, "Hey you, come eat a plant and feel better about your life choices." To be fair, we walked in well after the lunch rush, but the staff was still totally on top of it. As for the food, my friends ordered The Club and The Grinder, and both absolutely loved them. I went with the Moroccan Turkey, and oh my god, I loved everything about it. The standout players were definitely the Greek yogurt sauce and that red wine vinaigrette. Absolutely incredible flavor combo. That said... unless my friends and I have suddenly hit a massive growth spurt, the portions could definitely be a bit larger for what you're paying. We're in Scottsdale, not a micro-portion tasting menu in Paris. Feed us, ChopShop! The real plot twist of the meal was the BBQ potato chips. I thought they were absolute perfection. However, they caused a full-on culinary debate in our group. They lean pretty sweet and have this distinct Indian-spice vibe going on. The box came labeled with dairy allergy. There was no steak and the dressing was ranch. Whole meal was ruined. Super difficult when ordering. How do you mess up an allergy...? I come here mainly because it's the closest location with coffee, I work in the plaza. One day about a week ago I ordered through their kiosk. Just a regular coffee with some add-ins. I sat and wait for like 5ish mins. I sat closet to the entrance door. I could hear the employees talking and I figured my drink was almost ready, I go sit closer to the pick up area and I still see them talking. My shift was starting soon (10mins), I go to ask if I can pick up later instead since they haven't finished. The manager noticed me and confirmed my drink order. I confirmed and she was really nice but her employees kind of gave me a weird facial expression as if I rudely interrupted their personal conversation. A min later the manager handled me my drink order and I left as fast as I can to avoid feeling "watched" by those employees. Kudos to the manager though, she was very nice. Don't think I would come here again. :/ read more

Just a fast review because our catered meeting food was so good in comparison to our normal orders from other sources, and I have always felt health guilt if I ordered anything new at ChopShop. I've been eating the bowls and salads since they opened and used to come every Wednesday after a group hike. In all that time, I never deviated from the Teriyaki and Thai Chicken, and the Steak bowls, because I loved them, and we would always order at least one of each and share. I never tried a sandwich. That Chicken Prosciutto sandwich blew me away. The texture of the properly cooked and moist (not wet) chicken and the spicing and flavors was awesome. I then proceeded to have a half of the Grinder and Club sandwiches...all really solid. Bottom Line...its not just salads and bowls that they do very well! read more

For as many times as I've been here, one would think I've tried the majority of the menu. However, almost every time it's because that Moroccan turkey on a gluten-free wrap called me back again! I love the combination of flavors. Can't go very many places to get sliced grapes on a sandwich and they add such a nice pop of freshness. I like the contactless kiosks at the front and the customizable options of every menu item. I like the bright colors and openness in the decor. And I love the folks who work here. The one item keeping this from a 5 star review is the change in flavor in this visit. The red wine vinegar was absent. This is an order and then sit down restaurant so the service is typically pretty fast! It's definitely casual, but very clean looking on the inside. I usually order the green curry tofu bowl with sweet potato hash. The size is decent, usually I'm full after eating it all and I can definitely finish it all in one sitting. The dish is pretty good but the star is the sauce, and there's never enough of it... I have to pay extra to get more sauce. Makes a big difference. The Thai coconut sauce is also soo good. I've also had the slim squeeze juice and it was quite good! Good balance and sweet and sour from the citrus. Overall, the food is fresh but the bowls are a little small for their price and you need more sauce to kick it up to five stars. Came here with some work colleagues and had a lovely afternoon sitting at their outdoor tables and munching on a delicious salad. It's quintessential lunch: salads, bowls, sandwiches, wraps, juices and smoothies. Plus for breakfast they have a decent menu of toasts, wraps, hashes and bowls. They also accommodate a great number of dietary needs, which is very helpful when dining with a group. Gluten free, dairy free, lactose free, soy free, vegetarian, vegan, and meat eaters can all enjoy something here, and you can filter the menu by these things on their website so you can know before you go. I went with a simple Danish salad with grilled chicken (house greens, arugula, smoked almonds, Danish bleu cheese, pears, apples, dates and red wine vinaigrette). It was quite filling and very fresh. Everyone was hungry and decided to give it a try still. I had the Greek salad with chicken, it was alright but wasn't a fan of the dressing. (The chicken was dry, but can't complain with only $2add on fee.) My son who has the nut allergy had the kale salad with chicken and as he was eating it his stomach didn't feel well. I quite enjoyed my visit to the Original Chopshop! It's a cute and modern spot with plenty of allergy friendly foods. I got the green curry tofu bowl and an açaí bowl with gluten free granola as well. My tofu bowl was quite flavorful, I was impressed with how flavorful the tofu was! I had brown rice and veggies and it was quite tasty. I especially enjoyed the broccoli. If anything, I feel like I had too many green onions in my bowl, but it wasn't too big an issue. My açaí bowl was nice, definitely had fresh fruit and was enjoyable. Although the restaurant itself seemed quite clean, most of the tables were not. I had to clean the top of a table my self with some napkins as there were some spills. The credit card reader was a little sensitive and we had to try it a couple times before it accepted my card. read more

I just had the worst experience ever at a restaurant. My husband and I each ordered a bowl and added the cauliflower rice at a dollar extra per bowl. We both ordered the roasted veggies and brussel sprouts. While we were waiting at our table one of the workers came out and informed us they were out of cauliflower rice and asked what we wanted instead. I said sweet potatoes. The manager brought out our bowls and when mine came it was a very measly amount of chicken, a ton of sweet potatoes and 4 Brussel sprouts. When I saw it I mentioned the other things I ordered on it and the manager said the worker told her sweet potatoes only so I asked if I could have some extra brussel sprouts and she said no, that's not allowed. Then I asked if I would be refunded for the $2 extra we spent on the rice and she mocked me saying "you are going to come up for just $2?" So I said you're going to mock me about me wanting my refund and yet not give me any extra brussel sprouts or anything else to satisfy. It was terrible customer service, especially from the manager and nothing was done to aid in any of our inconvenience. The manager did end up giving me a side of brussel sprouts and veggies but only after I complained and expressed my offense at her mocking me. I expressed that as the manager, she was responsible for good customer service and helping to make customers satisfied, especially after we paid over $40 with tip for two bowls and juice. Ridiculous! I will never return to this location and would suggest others don't as well! It ruined my whole experience and evening with my husband. The manager could have easily given a couple extra brussel sprouts and apologized for being out of ingredients and then offered without me having to ask for a refund. When I expressed my offense at her mocking me, she said it was that she didn't know how much cauliflower rice was, well as the manager I find that hard to believe. read more

They have touch screens you can order on which personally I like because I can really look and see what I'm ordering and getting, especially if I've never been there before. It's a very roomy place with a lot of seating, and it's got a cozy chill vibe to it where I wouldn't mind just hanging out for a while and eating. I'm also not a seasoned healthy eater, so I don't know all of what they had but there was a variety to choose from. The food was really good and I've been back several times since! Not even the same insides and usually I'd have just eaten it and not complained but it had avocado in it which I'm super allergic to so I took it back. What an incredible open and airy place. Their sign "it's my feel good place" really states the inside vibe. Restaurants make order mistakes - it's how they fix them that separate them from the rest. They forgot an additional item that we ordered. When I mentioned this to them, with my receipt, they promptly and without whimpering, fixed the issue. Under their "The Chops" (i.e. salads), we had the Raw Vegetable and added chicken. Everything was quite fresh and plentiful. The ample size is good which helped to make it filling: after all it's a bowl of vegetables. The added chicken was quite moist and bland. This took on the flavor the red wine vinaigrette. The vinaigrette was sweet which paired well the tartness of the vinegar. Under the "Grilled Protein Bowls", we ordered the Teriyaki Chicken. The chicken was cooked well - it was still firm and flavorful. The veggies were fresh and firm. The teriyaki sauce was flavorful and had a nice touch of heat. I had a carbs with this and chose the Sweet Potato Hash. This was good and held up well with the teriyaki sauce. This bowl was filling.
