Poke in central PA! I've tried the harrisburg place as well and they are pretty much the same. It's like chipotle style where you can choose what toppings to put on your poke = imitation crab, corns, fried onions, tuna/salmon, eggs, kimchi, etc etc. However, I would recommend eating whatever you get right away because I suspect the quality isn't amazing. It is a bit overpriced but that's what you get here! Staff is always pleasant and there is limited seating for you to eat in as well. Plenty of parking available in the back read more

I was going crazy trying to decide where to eat on Chocolate Ave. in Hershey. I absolutely love Poke Bowls, so I decided to give this place a try. The staff was relatively friendly, and efficient, however the young lady preparing my Salmon / Tuna bowl is completely unprepared to work in her position. (that's cool, I don't mind people that are still learning their position). I have been a food service manager that specializes in food safety and sanitation for a number of years. This was Monday at 2pm that I ate this poke bowl, and the first thing I had eaten since the day before at 5 pm. At approximately 12 midnight, after not having any other food through the day, I started feeling really ill and had to lay down. Within the next hour, I had classic Norovirus symptoms which lasted throughout Tuesday and finally receded today, however I still don't want to eat. No, I did not seek medical attention, as I knew exactly what had happened. I decided to "ride it out". Another detail. This happened in the middle of my vacation. My first question would be are they purchasing their fish from an approved vendor? As the restaurant industry has been slammed because of covid, many cost cutting measures are being taken, ethically or not. Raw fish can be very dangerous if not handled properly and safely. The next question would be whether they have a food safety program in place to educate their staff on cross-contamination and the why it's important to wash hands and change gloves chronically. I can assure you that the young lady preparing my bowl had no idea about these matters. How do I know? When I asked her during the ordering process if they sell Poke Bowls, she had to go to the back and ask....crazy Ironically, the bowl tasted fantastic. Lastly, I'm not looking for compensation or defensive manager phone calls. I have reported this incident to PA Department of Health. I will update on their findings. read more

Freshido is verrrrry addicting! I would eat it every day if I could. I knew there was a location in downtown Harrisburg but never visited since the parking there isn't ideal but as soon as a location opened in Hershey I knew I had to go try it. My food always turns out yummy & the workers are always friendly. Also, the Thai Tea here tastes like how Thai Tea should! It's not made from a powder and they put the right amount of half & half. Definitely would recommend to anyone who is reading this! read more

Was a big fan of this place. It's as close to a Hawaiian meal that I've gotten, since I lived in Oregon nearly a decade ago. I used to go here once or twice a week. The only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is because of the zucchini noodles. I tried them one time, and they were still somewhat frozen, and the taste and texture was so off-putting, that it somewhat ruined this place for me. Yes! My new favorite place! I had the Freshido signature bowl. I don't know how much one can rave about a rice or grain, but the multigrain base was outstanding and the whole mix of textures/tastes was great. Finally there's a place in town with fresh and healthy(ier) food options than just sandwiches. The only downside would be if you have a hearty appetite. I went alone this time, but I know the bowl would not be enough for my husband to feel full - think Blue Apron-sized portions. read more

I appreciate the COVID safety precautions (blocks to be farther from ordering, take out). The food is very yummy. I like how you can add so many toppings. As my first time going I tried to keep it simple and follow the special combos already created. Excellent! I will definitely be back. Fresh, unique produce, and large selection to build your "Signature Bowl". I had the "Babim Chicken" with Zucchini noodles for the base and stayed with the standard menu. I would go out of my way choose "Freshido" if we order take out as a family over other options in downtown Hershey. Just opened in downtown Hershey. Lots of choices for make your own bowl - layer categories include: base, protein, mix-ins, flavor, toppings and crunch. Take a minute to look at the choices and categories before you order. You could eat here everyday of the week and have totally different flavor profiles each day. I opted for a wasabi aioli profile - just the right amount of kick for me. Store is brand new so interior is nice. New experience for us and we loved it. We weren't sure what to expect but were looking for something other than sandwiches for lunch. Upon entering we went to the counter and read the selection of poke bowls offered. The staff explained to us that we were to choose layers of flavors, beginning with our choice of rices. Then adding a protein, vegetables, favors such as aioli, toppings and a crunch factor. Once these are all mixed it seems as if the flavor combination exploded. I got one of their Signature bowls, the Freshido Special-Salmon, Tuna,Cucumber, Mango edamine, crab salad, lotus chip with sriracha aioli. A flavor explosion. What is there not to like? Cool atmosphere, good food, a lot choices for the bowls, from rice to quinoa, and crunchy toppings. My personal favorite is the Bulgogi Chicken with toppings such as kimchi, pickled peppers, fresh veggies, cilantro, sweet gochu sauce, and lotus chips! Yum! My granddaughter and I ate lunch here yesterday and both of us were very pleased. She had a small and I had a large and both of us were unable to finish and were very full. The protein choices are good and the add-ons are vast and delicious. The staff is also very helpful and very nice and the restaurant itself is small and very clean. I don't have poke often but Freshido is now my go to place. It was a proud surprised to see that they had bubble tea with a lot of selections of that as well. read more

I love freshido!! I usually go at least once a week and typically the bowls are to die for. The only thing is that every once in awhile they do a pretty skimpy bowl, which is a pretty big bummer because the bowls aren't cheap :/ depending on who is making your bowl, you might not get the bang for your buck :( but the people are typically very nice and personable and the bowls are amazing. read more

Surprising find in Hershey! Looks like the poke craze is swooping the nation haha. For under $11, you get a pretty solid amount of food with two scoops of protein. The toppings are unlimited and they have a crazy number of them, which is awesome, and I really liked that they had mushrooms (rather unusual for poke, but were delicious!!). One star taken because the tuna and salmon weren't as great as the kinds I've had in California, but on the other hand, this price point is worth it for sure. Fantastic! Fortunately, I am afforded the opportunity to try Poke in so many different cities due to business travel. You get to build your own Japanese bowl similar to Chipotle. They also have Stubborn soda on tap, which I have never seen before. Very tasty and they recycle everything they can. I wish there was one closer to home. read more
