This looked so promising but alas the food was not fresh or flavorful. The tofu tacos were the blandest thing ever, they didn't even add salsa. So dry, as in pic. The Buddha bowl literally had different ingredients at different temperatures. Okay option for vegetarians but would not recommend it for taste, don't expect to enjoy your food out here.

Umamii Salad, added chicken. So good!

I made my own bowl , they don't read the paper , I asked for the source on the side, but they still put it in, I ordered a steak but there is no steak inside very disappointed , this bowl cost 13 dollars

Custom kale and spinach salad with fresh ingredients but was a little lukewarm. Smokehouse wrap delicious and filling, nice atmosphere, good presentation, friendly staff, good variety for essentially a vegetarian chipotle.

You get the real deal, real Puerto Rican dishes, with the greatest flavors and fair prices. Unless you prefer playing overpriced, find dining restaurants with average Puerto Rican food, which there are plenty of in the area. I'm not able to emphasize how small this restaurant is, it's located right along the main walking strip in Coronado Beach. Maybe 10 tables or so. No reservations walk up wait in line if you have to eat and leave. Not only will you eat the best tasting food during your trip, but probably also pay the least amount of money. We went here twice! Their rice and beans recipe is probably what it's all about! We got grilled shrimp and skirt steak over rice and beans and honestly, I could've had it all week long! This little gem local place is not to be missed! Highly recommended!

Right on the beach, beautiful views, lovely atmosphere -- exactly what you want for a special occasion dinner in San Juan. We made a reservation and noted it was a birthday celebration. The staff acknowledged it at check-in, which was a nice touch, but that was the extent of it. Once we were seated, the birthday wasn't mentioned again -- which, for a restaurant at this price point, felt like a missed opportunity. The food was genuinely good. The guacamole was fresh and well-seasoned, served with malanga and tortilla chips -- a nice twist on the classic. The poke bowl was solid, fresh tuna, clean flavors, well-balanced. The star of the table was the grilled octopus with achiote -- tender, flavorful, served over a pigeon peas risotto with truffle oil. Really well executed. Service, though, needed work. Water glasses went empty and stayed that way. Had to flag down the waiter for a second drink. For a restaurant at this price level, that's the kind of thing you notice. The food earns the visit. The service needs to catch up to the setting.

I sat at the bar, and the staff absolutely made the night. Insanely nice and receptive, they talked with me the entire time, made recommendations, walked me through the dishes and the culture behind them, and kept the strong drinks coming, which I will never complain about. That kind of hospitality is rare and I can't say enough about it. Now for my one nitpick, and this is a me problem more than a them problem: I don't totally love Puerto Rican food. This is authentic comida criolla, which pulls from Caribbean, Latin American, and Spanish influences all at once, and my picky palate keeps asking what exactly it's trying to be. But the vibes, the people, and the setting made the whole experience more than worth it. Come for the criollo cooking, stay for one of the warmest rooms in San Juan.

So imagine everyone had to go down the line and say their orders twice 2) There were two loud speakers playing music right by us, the music was so loud it was vibrating the floor and hurting our ears. We asked to turn it down 3 times and were ignored and had to suffer through it. 3) the servers were pouring bottled water like their life depended on it and afterwards I knew why because we ended up paying over 100$ of bottled water. They did not ask us if we wanted more bottles but just kept filling our water nonstop 4) the food took sooo long to come out, we were there for 4 hours from first order to dessert. Everything was very small portions and average at best. It was also soo salty at times I couldn't taste anything besides salt on my tongue. So disappointing for how long the wait was and definitely not worth 79$ id rather have gone to McDonald's. The space is beautiful with chic interiors, trendy lighting, and a calmer atmosphere than most of the other spots around the plaza. I really wanted to like it. Unfortunately, everything went downhill from there. The cocktail I ordered was extremely bitter and not enjoyable, but the real problem was the food. My cod came out rancid and my cousin's lamb was spoiled too. I asked the waitress to take a look and she immediately recoiled, admitted it was bad, and took it away. What upset me even more was that when I asked why it had been served at all, the explanation was that it "wasn't fully rancid, it had just started to ferment." That is no different and absolutely a food safety hazard. I ended up so sick that I vomited in the restaurant trying to get it out of my stomach, and everyone at the table has had horrendous food poisoning since. Two out of four dishes being rotten is unacceptable at any restaurant, let alone one presenting itself as high-end. The setting may be stylish, but none of that matters if the kitchen is serving food that is unsafe to eat. I left feeling disgusted and honestly concerned for anyone else who eats here.
