I was craving Fresas Con Crema! And this place hit the spot. Omg so affordable too. $8 for a small and it's filled with fresh strawberries packed in! Very friendly service. Very clean. The kind lady used new gloves when making my treat. The man was nice enough to let me sample a strawberry before purchasing. I had gone to another spot in Daly city for fresas con crema and wasted money on a huge portion of chemically tasting strawberries, so sad. But this spot hit the spot LOL! Serving up fresh clean fruit I'll definitely be back for the elote treats! Oh and I sampled a banana pudding ice cream and it was creamy! No icy crystals at all. Friendly service, nice seating area and reasonable priced. Parking can be difficult. Confresca sauce was extremely thin and granola was just a dab. Compared to the kiosk in the malls and snacks in San Mateo this place is below their standards. read more

Took my son here after the reptile expo. The woman who served up was super nice, my son's ice cream fell off the cone, and she replaced it. There was also a family at a different table playing some Jenga or something fun. I hope this place makes it, it's a fun little spot. read more

3/1/2023 - lunch date with my seaSTAR. On our way to grab a fat burrito at El Farolito, we passed by Freshito and what caught our eyes were the sign that said "Elote." I've had my fair share of Elote from street vendors and SJ's flea market, but never have I ever had Elote elevated with a bed of Mexican-brand Tostitos. Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaat? Where have I been all these years? I must have been living under a rock to never have tried "Tosti Elote." Crispy-crunchity (I know it's not a word, but it's my word that I like to use) Tostitos adds not only texture but saltiness that married harmoniously with the creamy and cheesy Elote. Dabs of "Veronica" sauce, chili powder and tajin added a slight kick (needed more chili powder). The only ingredient they didn't add was freshly squeezed lime juice. Thank goodness we had some from our burrito run. Although it's delicious, without the freshly squeezed lime juice, it's too heavy to eat. Portions are huge. I'm so spoiled with having my Elote made with freshly cut sweet corn so it came as a slight disappointment because Freshito seems to use frozen corn. It didn't have enough sweetness nor tenderness, neither did it have the burst of corn juiciness that you'd get from fresh corn. It would have been an easy 5 stars if they did use fresh vs. frozen. Sweet, salty, spicy, tender, juicy, crunchy, cheesy, creamy and acidic. This is what makes a fantastic Elote! Although it missed some marks, it still hit the spot. read more

Sometimes you just need a mangonada. OK, maybe you don't need one, but I do. Even after a hefty lunch down Mission. Even after promising myself I'd watch my calorie intake before trundling my way home. There was a highly visible picture of a mangonada, so of course, I peeked inside and was impressed to discover 26 similar treats on their menu. But number one with a bullet was... ...the $6.75 Medium Mangonada. The staff was chatting away at a booth, so I waved hesitantly at them for service. If you're looking for a delicious snack or quick bite, come check this place out! I was craving esquites and my boyfriend came across this place on Yelp. Its located on Mission, next to El Farolito. We walked in and were greeted by the nice two ladies who were working. We ordered two esquites and a small fresas con crema, total came out to $17ish which is not too bad! They offer dine-in, so we sat and enjoyed our food. They really hook you up with the corn and they are not skimpy on the seasoning and toppings. I couldn't even finish mine and ended up getting so full after. For $5.50 you really get your moneys worth. As for the fresas con crema, the fruit was fresh and not too tart. Got a raspado and a fresas con crema. First I tried ordering raspados mango, then strawberry, but they were out of both. I settled for pineapple. This is the first time I've had this -- the ice was too chunky, but flavor was good (if a bit on the sweet side). Light, fruity and refreshing. Like a snow cone but much more natural tasting with some fruit bits. 4/5 Fresas con crema: my friend ordered this, I didn't taste it. Feedback was that sauce was a little thin, and there were too many strawberries (?? I don't understand that one, who orders strawberries and cream and then complains of too much strawberry? Weirdo.) Menu was easy to follow, guy behind the counter was nice, prices reasonable. Parking in this area is impossible, btw. I'd come here again if I happen to be on foot and in the vicinity. read more

A stroll through the neighborhood and their catchy name and sign posted of desserts caught my eye. They offer juices, crepes, elotes, ice cream, mangonadas, and fresh cut fruit. Yum. I've been here a couple of times and the last time being yesterday. The same man greeted us and took our order. They do practice social distancing and safety procedures. We chose the Fresas con Crema (strawberries w/ cream), Mangonada, and some fresh strawberry juice. You pick and choose which fruits you want in your fruit bowl and they'll chop them up in front of you. What can I say, except yum yum yum. I got their crema con fresas (a complex strawberries and cream. It uses sour cream with evaporated and condensed milk which gives it a slight tang and is utterly addictive), and mangonadas. I liked the mangonadas slightly less because they used shaved ice that was quite coarse, but the flavor was on point read more

Been passing by this place until I saw their sign outside with the fresas con crema. Service is great. Had a real mom & pop vibe. I'm glad they've opened up within my area. Came solely for the fresas con crema and was no disappointed. Super happy I don't have to drive down to San Mateo for fresas con crema now. The lady did not skimp at all on anything. I've been known to eat cold things on a cold day and this yummy treat was PERFECTO! The mint chocolate chip was fresh and the amount they give for the price, was good. Most waffle cones can be overwhelming but Freshito's was light and crunchy delicious. Most importantly, the ice cream went all the way to the bottom! I really wanted to like Freshito from all the reviews, but it didn't meet up to the hype for me. I got a fruit mix and a strawberry banana crepe. I was disappointed that the fruit mix only had 2 pieces of mango in it and some of the fruits were not yet ripe so were hard and tasteless. The crepe, while huge, could have been more balanced between the fillings and the actual crepe. I had way more than crepe than fillings. The worst part was my crepe had a piece hair inside. read more

They recently just opened up their business. It was highly recommended to me by my uncle who took the family to check it out. First thing I noticed was the open and clean environment. We then were greeted nicely as we came to order our food and were given a brief description of what they serve. Over all the service was very good, even the owners were very friendly and gave us some samples. Let me tell you, I've tried various places that sell mangonadas and they were never that good, either their mango was too hard, or there was just more ice than mango, but this mangonada is just right, the mango is soft, sweet and fresh. The amount of chamoy put in it is just right. I tried a crepe from them also and it is very, very delicious! I recommend for someone looking for something to snack on, or simply satisfy that sweet tooth craving. read more

Brand new spot in excelsior, kudos to them for opening up during a pandemic. Their Elote Picture caught my attention as I was walking by so I got it to go and the serving size is huge. So delicious and it reminds me of when I was a kid and after church my mom would buy me snacks from the paleteros outside. CASH ONLY for now so bring cash they mentioned they are working on getting card feature set up. Would go again to try their crepes next! read more

My boyfriend and were dying for ice cream or some type of dessert and we came across this shop. They were just about to close, putting in the sign and even turned off the "open" sign. We walk up and and the owner brought us in anyways. He was such a sweet and patient man. My boyfriend got the mangonada and I got A Oreo milkshake. THEY WERE BUSSIN AND ABSOLUTELY delicious and prepared with little wait time. We will be returning! read more

On a Spring stroll in San Francisco's Japantown I landed inside the West Mall at the Belly Good Cafe & Crepes. There a variety of different dessert options available. I got the Strawberry Cheesecake Ice Cream, Strawberry crepe. The ice cream flavors wasn't too cheesy like some in SF. The crepe was soft and held the ice cream was tasty and the design was creative. The ice cream crepe character reminded me of a birdie / Pikachu. They also serve savory crepes like the Smoke Salmon & Cream Cheese With Pesto Crepe Roll. This is good place to enjoy some refreshing dessert and cool out from the sun in SF. When gets hot and you need an "escape" from the sun to go grab some something with ice cream on top of a "crepe "you can watch them get made and see them spread and then" scrape" and then turn them into "animal shape " Go to Japan Center and it's not located inside East Mall with the mural of spiting fire "Godzilla" is located in West Mall where they have crepes with and strawberries and "Nutella"you can take cover from the sun don't need an "umbrella"when it comes to variety of flavors of crepes they offer I would have to say "hella"

We all liked the Honey Lavender, Orange Cardamom, and Cookies and Cream! The flavors stood out and satisfied my sweet tooth. My personal favorite was the Cookies and Cream. The Piña Colada tasted a bit too strongly of alcohol, so personally I wasn't a fan, but that was my bad as I didn't sample it beforehand. Overall, tasty ice cream with a good variety of flavors. I would give Bi-Rite a 4.5, rounding up to 5 since I enjoyed the ice cream. Would come back when in the area!
