I realized I never updated my review after coming back recently, and I'm glad I did. I hadn't been here in years and forgot how much I liked it. One thing that stands out is the space. There's plenty of seating, including tables that work well for larger groups, which makes it an easy choice when meeting up with family or friends. I came for breakfast and there were a lot of solid options: omelets, crepes, pancakes, and more. I ordered the chorizo scramble and it was excellent. The chorizo had great flavor with just the right amount of spice, not bland at all. The crepes were also as good as I remembered. The service really made the visit. Our server was incredibly friendly and attentive, and just had a genuinely warm presence. My 6-year-old even commented on how kind and smiley she was, which pretty much says it all. I don't recall her name but she had a slight Russian/Slavic accent. Drinks were great too. The fresh-squeezed orange juice was great, and the latte was well made. As a bonus, parking was easy and free early on a weekend morning, which is always a win in SF. Overall, we had a great breakfast and I'd definitely come back. read more

I've always wanted to try brunch here. And i finally did. You order your food first then you can sit where you please. We chose to sit outside since it was another beautiful day in SF. I got the Shamrock Benedict and my husband got the Lox Scramble. Both were absolutely delicious. It came out nice and hot, they also come with their Rosemary potatoes. They are really good. I do plan on coming back again to try their famous crepe's. read more

I've grown older, but this place have stayed the same, and would always be my 1st and only crepe joint on Polk st. I remember going to this place back in 1996, and the only thing that has changed is the price of the crepes. Love this place. Brings back all kinds of interesting memories for me. The plain crepes were right up my alley as they were simple and delicate. You can customize it with as many toppings as well. Fresh O.J. was so refreshing as well; cannot miss it! Food: Good as always. I appreciate the consistency in the quality of food. The coffee could be better, it tastes quite watery and they police the alt milks but, it is not enough to be a deal breaker. I took my cousin to eat here and he had a savory crepe combo, an OJ, and a sweet crepe. He really enjoyed it. The price is up there but to be SF it is average and the portions are quite filling. So, do not get the specialty coffees. If you must, get the drip coffee w/ free refills. If you want a coffee, go across the street to Up For Dayz and grab a latte there. Service: Here is where we are super iffy. The two women servers with the curly and the other with the red-ish hair are not the best. I was told by someone who has inside knowledge that one of them is the owner and apparently she bought it from the previous owner. Because of her attitude, the way she talks to customers, and other things they have had a lot of complains and business has gone down. This specific time I went they were fine. I asked for cholula, they said we don't have any right now and I later find out they discontinued it. Fine, but I love cholula on my potatoes. Not a deal breaker but a little eh. Ambiance: Located on the corner of Polk and Washington. It is a very convenient and central location. Plenty of seating, outlets, but no parking at all. Plenty of potential here, but I think I will slowly stop going there. read more

MASSIVE crepe. Stopped here for breakfast recently and definitely glad I did. Very laid back easy going spot. You order at the counter and pick your own seat. They bring the food out to you. Ordering was easy and friendly. Got the breakfast crepe and it was huge! It comes with delicious crispy breakfast potatoes and a light salad for a side. My partner and I ended up splitting it while seating by the window facing Polk and watching people go by. The window seats here make for some great people watching. They also have sidewalk and parklet seating. Will definitely come back and perhaps try a sweet crepe next time. **Bonus** they have an excellent happy hour on weekends from 4p-6p with awesome deals on wine, beer, and mimosas. read more

Florentine Crepe - tasty stand crepe. Very cheesy and lots of spinach. I was that there was more feta throughout instead of the other cheese and that the spinach was chopped to also distribute more evenly Also tried the Pesto Pasta from my friends plate. The pesto was creamy and had good flavor. Not too heavy but a generous portion especially if you go for lunch. Good amount of chicken in it. Honestly nice place to get some drinks in the sun. This time I went with the BLT which was great and accompanied by crispy potatoes and salad. Had a tofu scramble which was not a tofu scramble! It was eggs with chuck of dry tofu- gross! There must be some barrier to understanding. Tofu scramble only has as follows- Olive oil or other oil/vegan butter Tofu - Use firm or extra-firm tofu. The amount of water in a brick of soft or medium tofu will take too long to cook off. Nutritional yeast - A cheesy and salty seasoning that gives the tofu scramble a delicious umami flavor. Try not to skip it if you can help it! Black salt - AKA kala namak. It's a sulfur-tasting salt that gives vegan egg recipes a similar flavor to real eggs. You can substitute it with regular table salt or sea salt if you don't have it on hand. Turmeric - For a golden "egg yolk" color. Feel free to omit the turmeric if you don't have any on hand. The nutritional yeast will still give the scramble a yellow-ish color. My partner had a hamburger which was not as expected. Unfortunately we would have come every Saturday if it was reasonably good. We will not return. read more

I got the London fog, which was very good, and the Miami heat crepe, which came with crispy potatoes and salad. The portions were way bigger than I expected (justifying the price point), and the potatoes were very well done. The great staff here keep it real: real good crepes, including gluten free, and real talk, human to human. They didn't mind us descending on a corner late one night with four adults and two babies, but did let us know what the deal was, so we were able to leave on time with tasty full bellies and everyone happy. The woman that took our order is the sweetest. I loved that I was able to say a few Russian words to her since I'm learning Russian. The coffee. Holy **** I mean that was the best hazelnut mocha I have ever had. The crepes were amazing and so was the one pancake I ordered. My friend got the New Orleans crepe and one pancake also. She loved it. Customer service, the atmosphere, to the food. So friggin good. So happy we found this place. I'll take a pic of our food tomorrow when we come back. I happened to be in SF today for an appointment and decided to try out The Crepe House. I drank a raspberry Italian soda which I loved! For appetizer, I had their soup of the day which was a tomato soup that came with a small piece of bread and butter. I don't like all tomato soups but theirs was delicious. My entree was a chicken pesto crepe that came with potatoes and spring mix salad. The salad is just the kind you can get from Safeway but the chicken pesto was quite tasty. I won't especially be back since I don't live nearby and my favorite crepe restaurants are Crepevine (various locations), and Frodo's in Fremont. When it comes to portion size, The Crepe House's crepes are a lot less filled and are just half the size at about the same price. The taste is very similar to Crepevine (which is great), but not so great when it comes to value. Either way, I did still enjoy the lunch here so 3 stars overall. I'll definitely be on the look out to buy more of the Italian soda! read more

We came here on a Saturday morning around 10 and there was no line to order, and plenty of tables available. We ordered a Hawaiian crepe, Breakfast crepe, and a Fruity crepe (strawberry banana and nutella). Hawaiian crepe- amazing. I loved the sauce and the pineapple mushroom cheese combo. Will definitely get again. Breakfast crepe- also very good. Very hearty and a filling breakfast. Fruity crepe- comes with fresh strawberries and bananas and nutella inside, and a choice of ice cream or whipped cream. It was very good, I just wish there was a bit more nutella inside. The potatoes and salad that come with the savory crepes were great, and it was nice to have both and not just one or the other. Everything we ate was very high quality, and I would love to try more of their menu items! read more

This place is just adorable. The ambiance is really nice, with intimidate table seating. There are a lot of crepe options here, and a stellar happy hour for mimosas and bloody Mary's for only $6. We got the pesto crepe which was delicious! It also came with a side of salad and potatoes. I shared it with my husband and was completely full at the end. The salad dressing was excellent, and the potatoes were a perfect side. The crepe was stuffed to the brim, and they didn't skim on any cheese which I really liked. Overall the crepe was amazing. There is something for everyone. Portions are ample. Food is served temperature hot, tasteful and flavorful. Staff and service are good. Presentation of food is appealing. Décor is simple - wooden chairs and tables. Seating is indoors or outdoors. Wifi must be good since many patrons were working on their computers while eating. Later we also added boneless buffalo wings which were so tangy, well-seasoned, and HOT. The western bacon burgers were so delicious, crispy bacon, crispy onion rings, and some bomb.com bbq sauce. The wings were drowned in sauce (just how we like them) , the bbq was to die for and the Hawaiian had the perfect little kick of spice for our picky eaters. The appetizer platter was also fried to perfection, with the perfect crunch on the tater tots & corn dogs. The Mac & cheese bites & mozzarella sticks were perfectly cheesed, with an amazing cheese pull on the mozzarella sticks. Along with the food, my boyfriend and I ordered some drinks. I got a margarita and he got a Guinness. Both drinks were good, very standard and well served. The couple behind the bar were very funny and super kind to us being dazed after all the walking. We started with some special drinks as recommended by Ali, the most generous guy you've ever met. We got Japanese Artisan Gin Pomegranate Mint Martini and AB's Espresso Martini. They were so refreshing after we had to walk on some hills in 80degree weather in SF. After that, the appetizers we ordered came out with Caprese Salad & Mahmoud's Delicious Pork Ribs. The portion was huge for just appetizer. It's been a while for me to have that crispy baguette toasted with olive oil & vinegar, nothing could be better than that. The ribs were tender, the bonus point was definitely the sauce as it wasn't too sweet like the other places. You can't miss pizza in an Italian restaurant, so we ordered my favorite Crispy Prosciutto De Parma, Poached Pear. Prosciutto is my love so I'll just order it wherever I go if they have it on the menu. Super crispy, even though it's not as thin as I expected, I'd still order it again when we come back. It's served with a bowl of cheese powder and chili flakes so you can customize your pizza. The main entrees were definitely pasta and we just had our eyes bigger than our stomach. If you don't know what to order, ask Ali and he'll be more than happy to help you with all the recommendations, and even offer some alternatives for your pasta when the restaurant is not too crowded. My favorite was Pasta Dellacasa with Prawns added, mixing of all the sauces they have. It was so rich and I felt like no other pasta we had can be compared. They serve it hot and you can ask for as much cheese as you want for your pasta because they make it at the table for you. The place was really cool since the building was built over 100 years ago. This is my first visit here. My partner ordered the Mediterranean Crepe and since I couldn't decide, I settle for the pancake 2x2 special. It came with 2 pancakes, bacon and eggs. The pancakes were undercooked and gummy. His Mediterranean dish was okay. The overall food was just bland. Then I thought - you know what, maybe I'll try one of their desserts crepes. I ordered the Apple crepes with brown sugar, cinnamon and two scoops of vanilla ice cream. When it came out - it tasted horrible. The apples were warm and there weren't any brown sugar or cinnamon in it. The best thing about it were the ice cream. I will never come back here again. read more

I went to The Crepe House this morning with my mom and had a really good experience. The place is pleasant, quiet, and peaceful, perfect for enjoying a meal calmly. The prices are fair, especially considering the generous portions - the dishes are very well served. The food is delicious, tasty, and well-prepared. The service also deserves to be highlighted: the staff are friendly and charismatic, especially the waiter who took our order, who was very kind and welcoming. I love this restaurant. First of all, you can eat outdoors, and even eating indoors is great because there are large open windows and a great breeze floats in. The crepes here are delicious, and the omelets and salads are very large. This is one of my absolute favorite neighborhood eateries. The only downsides are that it can get too crowded, and if you get a 1/2 sandwich and salad -- that side salad is really small. Overall though, fantastic place to have brunch! read more

Oh Crepe House, how I love three. I always come here when I have no idea what I want to eat. I just stand there in front of their ginormous menu and take a pick. They have all types of sweet and salty crepes as well as sandwiches, salads and various breakfast items. Service is always top notch and I always find a spot with a plug. Cheers! read more

I enjoy a good matcha cold or warm. After a night of drinking some alcohol Matcha helps with hangovers. Matcha is the pick me up which is smooth and this one is not very"diluted"and gives you energy so you feel very "rebooted "this place feels so relaxing which is for me"well suited "and the vibes are so undeniable and so "undisputed " Once inside you go to order you will be "saluted" and you find coffee pots and pots with plants in the backyard that are already deeply "rooted" plus the artwork is also "included" and I can hear someone in the back having an online meeting where somebody is still "muted"
