The solar lights petered out quickly in the winter or after a cloudy day. I went to my trusty Yelp app and came across Las Vegas Backyards and their many five star reviews. I sent information about my project through Yelp, and I received a response the next business day to setup an estimate. The project manager was very thorough, and he explained his recommendations for the project while keeping aesthetics in mind. The estimate was right in line with what my research had told me was an average price for this type of job. I was, however, a little surprised that the project manager did not arrive with a catalog of various lighting fixture choices to peruse. He did send several photos of his recommended fixtures later that day based on our preference for something modern. Communication was quite good through a group text with all the respective players involved. The date for the install was arranged within a week or so of my inquiry. There was a slight snafu on installation day, as the fixtures we had chosen were sold out. We were sent photos of alternative choices and were able to find a contemporary design that was to our liking. The first part of the installation took about a half day with trenching, running power lines, and installing the fixtures. The second day was a quick installation of the transformer. I was happy to see they had installed a smart transformer with WiFi access and an app to set schedules. I do wish they would've gone over this ahead of time to discuss what type of transformer would be installed (again, I am glad they picked a smart model as that's exactly what I wanted). Unfortunately, one of the spotlights was found to be defective by the installer during their testing. They returned the next afternoon to replace it. Payment was handled in phases with certain percentages due at certain points in the installation. Payment is easily made online with a credit card, but unfortunately there is a surcharge for this type of payment. They do have other payment options if you want to avoid the surcharge. Now we have a wonderful, gorgeous, and very upscale looking landscape lighting setup that really increases the curb appeal! Thank you to Las Vegas backyards!

Got a text to confirm that morning. Confirmed. It's almost noon Friday as of this posting 0 communication. I literally woke up "early" as my shift runs in the evening/night time and they didn't show up. Supposedly a 10A-2P window and didn't receive a text or call update. Was on the hook that whole. Leaves a really a bad impression. Will consider others now with the first being Bully Turf to see if they're more professional.

Update on the warped synthetic grass border pieces. Custom Touch Landscape owner, Sean, contacted…read moreme and apologized for the lack of communication and took full responsibility for everything. He had one of his guys come out within 3 days of my review and repair all of the boards that were warped. He screwed all four boards together, used multiple stakes on each side (instead of just two originally), and even set the corners into concrete so they wouldn't come up again. Thank you Sean for getting this taken care of.

I have some experience dealing with contractors with my old job and my dad was a general contractor. Gill from Vegas Landscapes came out, explained to me some ideas and solutions from my tricky slope of a yard I had. Gill also worked with some ideas I had. He was very professional, no pressure, honest, did what he said he was going to do, and quote seemed to be on point. Side yard turned out way better than I expected and looks amazing. I had zero issues with Gil and his team and it was a pleasure working with them. I would definitely use them in the future.

It was like watching a bad investment plummet in real-time. You expect growth, prosperity, but all I saw was decline and disappointment. And the irrigation system? A complete failure. Leaks everywhere. It was like a poorly executed operation, nothing like the well-oiled machine you'd expect for that kind of money. The whole system had to be replaced, adding insult to injury. In business, you learn a thing or two about bad deals, and my experience with Steve Allen Landscaping was like the worst kind of transaction - full of promises, but delivering only headaches and extra costs. The workers were careless in the way they cut the turf boarders and installed the Bend-a-board edging. The turf edges rolled up in a matter of a few days and the boards lifter out of the ground. We had them do the edges over again twice and same crappy results. Just the worst workmanship.
