This food was SO GOOD!! So fresh and flavorful!! I could eat here a few times a week! I had the chicken shawarma plate, top tier!!

I've stopped in twice now to pick up lunch for work, and both experiences have been good. So far I've tried the gyro pita, fries, and their lemonade. The food was fresh, flavorful, and the portions were generous. My coworkers also enjoyed their meals. Service was quick and my orders were ready on time. Overall, it's a solid lunch option, and I'll be back to try more of the menu.

I love this place and brought 3 different groups here! Spicy Muhammara Chicken Wrap : Possibly the best chicken wrap i've ever had. Never heard of muhammara before this, but i'm a fan, and the wrap was crispy and buttery. Even my dad went "mmm mmm". Idk what the side sauce is, but it was delicious. 15/10, $11.40 Chicken Shawarma Platter : Large quantity and the pita is INSANELY soft. Everything on here was objectively good, but I wish the chicken was juicier and more flavorful. The rice and meat were quite dry. 7.5/10, $14.50

This place tastes as good as it looks online and one visit was enough for me to know i'll be back. For starters, this restaurant is in a shopping center with plenty of parking. The inside of the restaurant is also cute and decorated nicely. The menu is pretty big- I knew I wanted the shawarmas sliced up so I could share them so I got 2 mix boxes. The mix box is just shawarmas cut up into bite size pieces with fries. For the actual shawarmas- I chose the cozy and laziz. My total was under $35 for both boxes and it was enough for 3 people. The food came out in around 15 minutes. Both shawarmas were amazing, savory, and flavorful. I actually loved the laziz (chicken and cheese) the most but my parents said their favorite was the cozy! You can't go wrong with either. Definitely worth trying this place.

My friends have been raving about this place, I did get to eat a shawarma that my husband got home and I loved it ! But I wanted to eat it fresh hot and oh did it slap ! For a Sunday afternoon it was pretty packed but we were lucky to find a table, we were planning to sit on the metal benches outside the next door grocery store as an option! They do also have a window communal table but we were 6 adults and 2 kids so that wasn't an option! We did join 3 2 seater tables We got the Syrian mezze platter that comes with tabouli, pita and dolmas with a choice of 3 sides for which we chose hummus, baba ganoush and tzatziki. We also got a beef shawarma couple muhammara wraps and a spicy falafel wrap along with the fries ! Everything was fresh, tasty and was devoured in minutes! 10/10 recommend!

Super friendly staff. Food was good, portions were a good size, and cost was reasonable. We took the food to go and would like to try it next as dine in. Good option for quick service and nice flavors.

Their Grand Opening and first day were today! Shawarma Stop is a small, clean, bright, order-at-the counter restaurant featuring Lebanese and Syrian food. I had the opportunity to talk with one of the owners, and she told me that her family's goal is to be able to offer "something for everyone." I think they've done that! It's fun to watch them cut the chicken shawarma off of the large skewers, and I enjoyed my chicken shawarma bowl with perfectly-cooked meat and turmeric rice, with tzatziki on the side. My friend liked his spicy chicken wrap, but it was quite messy and difficult to eat. We both felt the food was a little on the salty side, but I'm sure others would disagree. They were packed, but service was friendly and attentive. I hope they do a really good RTP lunch business, especially with to-go orders, because it can easily get crowded.

Walked in to order a takeout. The staff were friendly and helpful, answered all the questions we had about the menu. While we were waiting for the order, we got to observe a decor - loved wall art display and beautiful floating wood grid with greenery. Simple, yet reflecting cultural references. When our order was ready, the staff kindly offered to take a large bag to the car. Probably not the norm as they were not too busy on a Sunday evening, but a very nice touch. Now onto the food. Everything we ordered was fresh and delicious. Everyone in our group enjoyed their dinner. Baba ghanoush was one of the best I've tried. Spicy falafel was a tad spicy, but did not loose the flavor. This will become our go to place for sure.

We came here for a late lunch around 3pm on a Sunday. There were a few people already there but around 3:30pm a lot of people came into the restaurant. The service was great and the staff was friendly. I had the spicy muhammara wrap and it was so good. It was packed with chicken inside and it wasn't spicy to me, just very delicious. There was a sauce that was included inside the wrap along with fries and it was perfect. No need to get additional fries on the side because you'll get stuffed but the fries on the side were great as well. The spicy muhammara was more savory and heavy. The lamb gyro was light but also delicious and well seasoned. I recommend both. I'll certainly be back.

Quick service even though a busy lunch crowd. Plenty of seats and very clean. Most authentic and flavorful chicken shawarma wrap. The pickle and just right crisp to the wrap. Side of fries and lemonade made it perfect.

Food was delicious and was a perfect portion size. The service was very quick. There was a decent amount of seating inside as well. Overall really enjoyed this place!

super tasty shawarma! it was my first time here and it did not disappoint. we got the chicken shawarma wrap with fries. (we had to order the fries separate) the wrap was filling and the chicken was super moist and tender. had such a great flavor. the garlic sauce was to die for! the dining room is pretty small and it was quite noisy when we came. the staff was super friendly and checked in on us as well.

Service is very friendly, and as quick as possible, considering that stuff seems to be made to order. I ordered a chicken kebab platter which comes over a bed of basmati rice, possibly with saffron. Whatever the rice tasted great and it wasn't dry like at a lot of places. The chicken was marinated in a tangy yogurt-spice mix, grilled and topped with a tahini sauce. Delicious! As sides I got mujadara and roasted vegetables which were also tasty. I'll be back for takeout for sure in the future.

"Bodega-like Mediterranean Grill & Grocery in Parkwood area of Durham"…read more This place is WAY off the beaten path for most, but I'm so happy to have gotten to try it out. Nestled in a little strip between a Muslim school and a mosque is this grill and grocery. We came on a Wednesday evening, and almost every table was already taken by diners. You order your food at a counter, and it has the Middle Eastern foods you'd expect-- kofta, shawarma, gyros, falafel, baba ghanouj, hummus, baklava, etc. I opted for the lamb gyro sandwich with a side of baba ghanouj, and my dining partner had the falafel sandwich. They call your number when it's ready. Food took maybe 10 minutes to receive, so we browsed the market area. It's not a huge selection, but very traditional-- nice seeing so many labels in Arabic, and along with standards (e.g., canned fava beans for Ful Medames), they also had things like frozen chopped mulukhiyah leaves-- that's definitely a rarer sight. Lots of good spices too. The food was EXCELLENT. The lamb was juicy and perfect (unlike what another Yelp review said), the tzatziki sauce was delicious, and the baba ghanouj was perfectly cooked and textured. I had a small bite of the falafel, and it was indeed one of the best I've had in the US. Price was fair, too-- the sandwiches are all under $10 before tax and tip, and making it a combo with side and drink cost just something like $2.50. And service was friendly-- although they called out numbers, they did walk out with the food to try to find and bring you your dishes. And while it was an older space, it was overall still generally clean. Overall, I'd VERY happily come back.

But what first appeared as a Lebanese "health food, vegan, vegetarian" restaurant even though they had some meat dishes -- turned into one of the favorite restaurants of my life! Their hummus, pitas (light and fluffy but not overy thick), hot sauce, shawarma, salads, kibi, lamb plate, soups (V9 rules) all became things I craved for the next twenty years. And the desserts! I think they made up for all the "healthy" stuff by having freshly made cakes to indulge after a good meal. Thank goodness they had franchises in Cleveland (where I visit my mother) -- when I had moved away from one I could get my fix there. But while in Columbus area, Dublin restaurant closed and I went to the one in Grandview quite a bit. I have been back in North Carolina for 12 years now. On a day trip to Raleigh, I stopped by the store at Brier Creek (8201 Brier Creek Pkwy #107) OH MY! It has been a while (I think I need to go visit my mother! ) Had my lunch staple. shawarma salad with Aladdin's dressing (they used to have a zesty tomato back in the day that was really good) a small hummus and HOT SAUCE! I am so glad the south is staring to get the grand taste of Aladdin's Eatery! Like I told the owner -- From the first day I tasted any meal to yesterday, the meals and food are consistent -- if you go back in time, they would be prepared and taste the same -- like Heaven, mother's milk! Now Lebanese, middle eastern may not be for everyone but if you want a good healthy salad or some great soup, I am sure you can find something here.. but you will miss out on the spices and flavors! I think the main thing about Aladdin's besides stellar food and consistency is the people! I have not met an owner, server, host that was not friendly, courteous, gracious and human! These folks are great! And just like the food has been so since day one! I wish all restaurants and business could be like Aladdin's, the world would be a better place -- after my meal yesterday, I am refueled and ready to go in body and spirit! Thanks for the lifetime of great meals, see you soon!
