This is one of the top deli's I've been to in the south shore area to date. Food and hospitality is beyond stellar with the feeling of eating at home at the kitchen counter as it overlooks the kitchen area. During lunch the lines can be a little overwhelming but that shouldn't deter you from leaving because you will be missing out. My favorite sandwich would have to be the #19 which is corned beef and pastrami with cole slaw. Piled high with meats and toppings, it comes out at least 3-4 inches thick. Don't be afraid to dig in with a fork and knife because be warned that it will get a little messy. They offer breakfast food as well if sandwiches aren't your thing. The atmosphere inside is awesome and cozy with a small counter and a few tables around the perimeter. I prefer to sit at the counter because whenever the owner has time he like to talk to his customers. Its not just about the food but it could end up being about sports. Parking can be a pain during peak hours as there's under 10 spots total and many people will double park just to run in and out. Make sure to check out the hours beforehand, I made the mistake of trying to come for a late lunch/early one time and ended up finding out they closed at 3:30pm. read more

This place makes some great sandwiches! Have had quite a few different sandwiches and usually am pretty impressed with the quality. The reubens are awesome, and the meats all really good. I have also ordered salads and they are fresh as well. Just a couple small complaints, though we keep coming back so not a big deal. Sandwiches are HUGE, and unfortunately a bit over dressed, so even though I can only eat half, they don't keep very well to eat later. Also a couple times when I have ordered takeout, cheese was left off the sandwiches/ other small errors that aren't the end of the world, but keep this from being 5 stars. read more

Not sure Fressers deserves all the four star reviews. I've eaten lunch there twice. Prompt service and quality is good. I had corned beef sandwich which was very lean and tasty but I prefer my corned beef room temperature or warm there's is served cold. Next time I'll try either the pastrami or have them zap the cb. read more

Owned and operated by a divorced husband and wife team, and staffed by a bunch of salty but sweethearted Braintree broads, Fresser's is the best place in the area to participate in some light eavesdropping. Fresser's is a no frills, Jewish style deli that specializes in corn beef, pastrami, lox, knishes and latkas. All dishes are served with a side of banter and saucy-ness. Jason L and I have tried most of the stuff on the menu, and my favorite by far is the Rueben Breakfast Sandwich: corn beef, fried oozy egg, sauerkraut, Russian dressing, on marble rye. You can't eat this thing without getting sauce/egg all over your face, but that is part of the charm. It's delicious and a mighty fine hangover cure. Other favorites include: sweet potato latkas, turkey pastrami triple decker sandwich, the monte christo... and most notably their cheese cake/cannoli hybrid cone. What is a cheese cake/cannoli cone, you ask? The most delicious thing you with ever eat. The owner's friend busses these things in once a week from a bakery in Long Island. From what I gather, they are one of a kind. They are basically a large cone-shaped cannoli stuffed with cheese cake filling. The cheese cake definitely is made with ricotta and lemons. It's amazing. They don't feature it on the menu, you need to ask for it, and they'll pull it out of a jar they have on the counter for you. Random Notes: The owners are committed Pit Bull lovers, and the space features many photos of pitties looking for homes, and other pit bull awareness like paraphernalia. They sell homemade dog food made of deli scaps, with all of the proceeds going to animal rescue organizations. Jason L bought "Deli Dog" food for my fur baby Huck, and he loved it! Great for catering, you can also buy packets of meat. Jason L and I are living off a pound of turkey pastrami we bought from them last week. The space is a diner meets your home kitchen vibe, with a wrap around counter and scattered two person tables. Fresser's also boasts a fireplace and is often decorated with home made holiday decorations. The only con I can think of, is that the TV seemingly only plays Fox News. read more

Big salads. Don't miss the roast turkey dinners (and the Famous Moe sandwiches) because they go fast. On the upside they've expanded their weekday hours until 5:00pm, which means dinner is now in play. On the downside they've taken my beloved 'cocktail cheese' (cream cheese with salmon and tomato) off the menu, although you can still get that combo separately as a bagel with cream cheese, lox and tomato. They are not shy on the meat! Tender pastrami, homemade coleslaw on fresh rye bread. Mmmmm.... My wife and I split 1 sandwich between us and it was enough to fill us. This past Wednesday my spouse, daughters and granddaughters and I enjoyed a very special lunch together at Fressers. The food was absolutely incredible. But the excellent service provided to our family, especially our granddaughters, made the lunch truly memorable. It was obvious that the staff extremely busy as it was lunch hour. But the patience and attention that the owner, our server and every staff member showed us was remarkable. Very good latkes, knishes, and sandwiches. The potato salad is very good so make sure to order the large side. The small is pretty small. Whenever we order from here we make sure to ask for spukie bread. Their bread is so fresh! I have had both the eggplant pesto sandwich and the turkey pastrami. I love both. They always grill the bread which makes it even yummier! Be sure to ask for their rewards card. If you fill up the card with stamps you earn a free sandwich, drink, and chips! She said to go to Fressers in Randolph and to get the Black Pastrami on marble rye with spicy mustard and swiss. It's the only thing close to Katz's Deli on Houston pronounced Howstun in Manhattan. Please , when I kick , and I likely will before most of you , place one of either of them in my casket I've never been disappointed in anything whether it was breakfast or lunch. You can't go wrong with a place that refers to its sub's as spuckies. Fressers is an old school Jewish style deli with a mini Woolworths type counter that you can nuzzle up to and strap on a feedbag. They even sell Dr. Browns soda pop with root beer and cream soda. They were out of cream soda so I gambled and lost on the Cel-rey . its a celery flavored soda that was off putting to say the least. I shoulda went with the root beer. At the counter the cheesecake caught my eye. Really it schlapped me so many times with a left I was begging for a right. My God, Where do I begin? I ordered a corned beef, it was glistening. My goodness it tasted so good. I had a post sandwich high for about 10 hrs. When I came down, I realized this was the best corned beef, I've ever had. Also, the ambiance is striking, with community chop breaking at every turn. I just ate there and had the BBQ steak and cheddar sandwich and it had the famed "MOISTMAKER" from the thanksgiving episode of Friends! I've never had that in real life!! Went to Fressers for the first time since moving to Randolph two years ago I must say the bacon egg and cheese sandwich was really good no complaints in the food department. The eggs were cooked to my liking and the bacon was perfect, now that being said it was the service that I didn't like. This was the absolute best deli I've ever been to. My friend said his Reuben was the best he's ever had. The potato salad was incredible and the coleslaw was solid. My turkey sandwich was very fresh and you could tell it was made with love. Perhaps the most special thing about our visit was the owner. What a nice guy!! He was very friendly and easy to talk to.
