Picked up friends from the airport and stopped in for dinner. I had read excellent reviews of the Philly cheesesteak, and I was not disappointed! I'm from PA, so very picky about my Cheesesteak. I highly recommend. My husband had the Shrimp Gamberetti. The dish had excellent flavors, bursting with a nice wine/garlic sauce. We thought the portion was a bit on the small size, more like a lunch size rather than dinner. There were 5 medium sized shrimp and not a whole lot of pasta. Our friends had the cheesesteak and the Chicken Milanese, which they both said were delicious. Staff were wonderful and it was all about customer service. We will definitely be back as we want to try the pizza, as it looked and smelled amazing. read more

This is going to be my new spot. When I say the vibes were vibing, the staff is amazing, food superb, wine on point. I take myself out twice a week at least. I was sooo happy literally dancing in my seat as I was eating. The music was great . Several of my favs played. I loved the ambience. I'm gonna try the pizza next. Everyone's pizzas looked amazing. I was drooling looking at the pizzas. My wings were fried to perfection and full of flavor. The truffle fries were delicious. The calamari was sooo fresh you tasted the water in them. My only complaint was it got hot hot hot. And I promise I didn't bring the heat. Food and experience was amazing. 10/10. Definitely make sure you support this new spot. I want it to be around. Very pleased with our recent first visit to Fresta's. I found good reviews on Yelp. My wife and I were looking for a new place to go after leaving the SRQ airport. This place was fantastic! Both the food and the service were excellent. It has a casual diner feel to it, but we were greeted upfront and shown to a booth. Our waitress was patient and kind with us - explaining what a "long hot" is to a couple of newbies. We got the fresh mozzarella balls, antipasto salad, and the Philly cheesesteak with peppers, onions, and mushrooms. Everything came out fresh and delicious. It was more than enough for the two of us. Great Food - YUM My Husband and I have tried Take-out 5 times for Pizza, Lasagne, and Appetizers. All of it has been outstanding. We love the Margherita Pizza (Minus the Garlic Oil). We adore their sauce !! I really enjoy their Calamari as well. We haven't eaten in the restaurant but Hubby says it is nice, fresh and clean in there when he goes in for our food. The Caesar salad was one of the best I've ever had as was the chicken Parm Panini and my date had the margarita pizza which she also rated extremely high. Everything about Fresta's is wonderful...... start with the garlic knots! Light and garlicky and enough for a table of 4........ unless, like me you can't resist another. These are some of the best EVER! The wine list is great and so reasonable. The sauces are flavorful without being overdone and the veal parm is soooooooooo good ! The special Pasta Louie is wonderful. Save room for the homemade cannoli! There are so many other items I can't wait to try. The Real Deal! This time we started with a cheese pizza......in my opinion the true test of Italian food.....and Fresta's is delicious! Tried the lasagna and I was back in my gramma's kitchen! This is real Italian at its best! The short rib gemelli is incredible. The wine list is great as well. A wonderful neighborhood mom and pop place with Italian food that grandma made! Also available was beer wine and cocktails. On walking in fresh pizza and garlic aroma filled the air. Service was friendly, quick and efficient. The menu has something for everyone. We chose two pasta dishes, one a creamy buttery shrimp scampi type dish with some spiciness and the other a spaghetti with pesto, prosciutto and a crispy chicken cutlet. Both delicious and dishes I would order again. Our friends had the Bolognese that looked fabulous. Portions were perfect size. We ate everything on our plates and left feeling very good, not overstuffed like what usually happens when there is too much pasta. Other patrons had pizza that looked enticing and smelled so good I almost wished we had ordered a small pizza just to taste one. Next visit then.
