I love the points you get with each order that can go towards your next purchase and I like knowing that 5% of my purchase is going to an area non-profit. When Freytag contacted her to let her know her flowers had been delivered (touchless due to covid) she told then she no longer lived at that address. They picked the flowers back up and arranged to have them redelivered with a partner florist 2 hours away. The flowers delivered were gorgeous and my niece was very pleased. I am a mother / grandmother and have already retired once from a Fortune 500 Company. I Recently I had the sad task to order flowers for my manager's Father. I was sad for my manager and at the same time felt so stressed for being given the responsibility of ordering the flowers for my co-workers. I have zero experience with florist in Austin but I do order flowers all the time for out of state. In fact I order so many flowers for family and friends that I have an account with FTD. I chose Freytag's after reading the reviews of several local florist. My research showed that although Freytag's was not the cheapest in price it was respected for their friendly and professional service. I ordered two arrangements, one from me personally and one from work. I was so nervous I called them a few times to make sure I gave them the correct details for time/delivery. When I got to the funeral home I tried to check out all the flowers without appearing to. Out all of all the beautiful flowers the two arrangements I ordered were the nicest I have ever seen. The one that I chose from the website (A Red & Yellow Sympathy) was exactly as shown on the website. For the one from work I decided to go with the Tribute Flowers. All I had to do was tell the florist the $ and let their artists design them. I am so happy that's what I chose. The design and quality of the flowers were awesome. They were so beautiful and worth every $ spent. I wanted to take a picture of them but did not think it was appropriate. The family was sitting in the front row grieving and they did not need to see someone taking pictures. That would just be cold and unfeeling. I used Freytag for my wedding flowers. I worked with a designer to figure out what I wanted and she was very expert in helping me get the perfect design. My bridal bouquet and maid of honor's bouquet were stunning and they lasted 5 days! The stems I originally chose for decorating the cake didn't look so good when I picked them up so the designer helped me choose another type that ended up looking fabulous on the cake. My boyfriend sends me flowers pretty frequently and he's used several different floral shops within the Austin area. Freytag's Florist has by far been the absolute best. Last Wednesday, I received my floral arrangement delivery and to be honest, it wasn't the best. Some of the flowers were broken off, some were on their last leg and it looked thrown together. I was disappointed but I wouldn't tell my boyfriend that and for him to feel bad that they weren't fresh. I did however get a phone call the other day for a follow up. I forget the woman's name but she called and said, "Hi there. I wanted to follow up on your flower delivery. How was everything?" When I explained the situation to her and my disappointment, she (without hesitating) stated that "I am so sorry to hear that. Let me get a replacement bouquet sent to you. When would a good time be for you?" I was blown away! I've never had an experience like that before and it was amazing. I 've called Freytags twice now, phone orders for specific floral arrangments to be delivered. Both with the same BAD results. The first time they had to re send the flowers because the flowers were so skimpy, they were terrible. This time i called, thinking that the omittion of flowers was a fluke. So I gave them another chance. I specifically said how many flowers I wanted in the arrangment, and they still shorted me by a dozen flowers. Do they think because I was phoning from Ca. that i would not ask for a picture of the arrangment once it was delivered. I was soo embarrased at the second skimpy arrangment from them, and the price was very high too. If you pick up your flowers I think they are fine, But don't make the mistake of phoning in an order to be delivered, thats where they get you in the pocketbook. Shame on you Freytags! read more

Very disappointed with the customer service. I ordered a spray of flowers for a funeral. Total cost was $130.00 I asked for a replica of a guitar to be placed in the spray. I received a call from a young man from Freytag's who told me that couldn't be accomplished. He was flippant and said for a "cost" he could make it happen but it would definitely cost me some dollars. Also, I asked for the flowers to be delivered on Monday. The young man said he had looked up the service on-line and it wasn't being held until Wednesday morning and in order for the flowers to look nice for the service, they wouldn't be delivering until late Tuesday or early Wednesday. Are you kidding me, I just paid $130 for a spray of flowers. . . . .I will never use Freytag's again. read more

Great product and classy organization. I've used Freytag's for years and every arrangement has been amazing. Their delivery has always been timely no matter what part of town I send them to. I know very little about flowers, but they always get it just right. Take my most recent order: Me: "So it's Valentine's, and it's a very special woman, but it's a new relationship so maybe a few roses, but nothing too lovey dovey or cliche". Freytag's: "So how about a Spring mix of bright colors with a few roses included?" Me: "Perfect!" And they were stunningly beautiful. Girlfriend even posted them on Instagram. Only problem was that not all the stems reached the water and the vase was wrapped where she didn't notice it until the next day. So a few of the flowers started to droop by the third day. I let Freytag's know this and in less than 24 hours, they are delivering a replacement arrangement. I've always said you learn a lot about a company when there's a problem.
