It's a fun local place, and they have games planned throughout the week. The restaurant is a good sized and when we went there on a Thursday night, there was a trivia group playing. Our server was friendly and overall we had a good experience with the staff. The food however, didn't really impress us. We ordered the fish and chips and scotch eggs. The scotch eggs didn't seem very fresh and were quite hard on the outside. It was my first time trying them so I wasn't sure what to expect, but after looking them up online, ours looked much more over crispy than they should be. On the positive side, they have a great selection of beers and ciders. I tried the Magners and really enjoyed it.

My wife and I stopped in with family while visiting in the area. We were looking for someplace different and I certainly was having a hankering for fish and chips. So happy we stopped here! Fairly large and well kept restaurant, they were setting up for their Thursday night trivia. We sat in front of a large television that was playing a cricket game. We opened with adult beverages. Was so very happy that they had Magners cider. My wife ordered a chocolate espresso martini while my sister-in-law's friend ordered an old speckled hen. Two of us ordered the cod while my wife ordered a tomato basil bisque and a sausage roll. And our other ordered the chicken curry pie. All was delicious and authentic! There's even a small English shop you can hit on the way out to pick up some goodies! So happy we stopped! Keep up the great work!.

What a lovely experience! My husband has been dying for some British food (his home country) lately and since we were at Legoland-it was the perfect stop before we went back to Orlando! Service was wonderful and so attentive! The restaurant had so much space and lots of seating! But also a great little bar area, live music and a pool table/darts! Food was delicious as expected and I Loved the homemade tartar sauce! The dill was the perfect touch in it!! We also loved the little British Shop attached! Perfect place to buy some British delicacies! My husband is always looking for crumpets so he was very excited to buy some! Can't wait to come back!!

We went on a Saturday afternoon and they were not too busy. The service was excellent, the server was very attentive. The food came out quickly and was fresh and delicious. Cute little place, we would definitely come back if we are in the area.

Al way had a little Love/Hate with Friar Tuck. But location often won out to meet a friend for a quick drink, but normally not food. Now under new ownership, I went back for dinner. Started with a house salad. Nothing really special, but works. So....actually I'm a sucker for shredded lettuce! That and a good Blue Cheese and I'm happy! Followed by the Cottage Pie. Presentation is a five! Being picky the mash on top looks great, but are a little over done and dry. However, not bad.

We loved the food, ambiance and service. Everyone was very friendly and the food was great, mine was atleast (Bangers and Mash). My husband didn't care for the fish and chips, they weren't terrible just lacked flavor... so very authentic. Lots of events, like trivia nights on Tuesday so we will definitely be going back.

Cute little British pub. My husband and I dropped in one evening when I was craving fish & chips. We didn't realize that they have so much fun events but we instantly were so excited about the schedule of events displayed when we came in. We definitely want to come for a trivia night, it seems like it would be such a fun place to attend an event. The service was pretty slow considering there was such a small number of people in the restaurant. I got fish & chips obviously and my husband ordered a ham and cheese toastie. He liked his sandwich! My fish was HUGE and tasty but I was disappointed with the thickness and sogginess of the batter on the bottom. It fell apart so bad while I was eating so I ended up having to scoop it up with a fork to eat it. We really want to come back for Sunday roast now that we know it's a thing.

The people are great!! I really enjoy them. The service however was amazingly horrible. I literally sat in a dining room with 4 other sat tables. Four servers walked past me multiple times. I couldn't even get a glass of water none of them stopped despite me looking parched, starved, and longing for attention. I finally moved to the completely empty bar and had to wave down the hostess that originally sat me. I wanted Scott eggs and a Donner kabob. They didn't have either!!! Wth!! Frustration on top of frustration. Settled for a sausage roll which turned out to be a reheated frozen version. It was just ok. Ordered the fish and chips with a side of curry sauce for my fries. Sadly the curry sauce was the best part!! The fish was good size and the top half was crispy and delicious. The bottom half seemed to have been set IN grease to drain as opposed to on a rack for the grease to drain of. It sat on top of the greasy AF limp chips (French fries). When finally asked if everything was ok, I asked for the fries to be fried crisp, like a chip should be. He said the deep fryers were off and mine was literally the last order they cooked. Frankly, it should have never been sold. I tried to order a dessert to go and was told the kitchen was closed. It never even dawned on him to let me know the kitchen was going to close and ask if I wanted anything else. Extremely disappointing visit. I might try them again mid-week, but will never be back on a Sunday.

This place is cute! Found it in my Yelp searches for food nearby our resort. This place popped up so we headed out. About a 15 minute drive from Mystic Dunes. It's located in a shopping and dining plaza where there is street parking as well as lot parking behind the building. The place wasn't busy at all and we were greeted upon entering. The owner was the only one working the front and he was doing a great job. Very apologetic about wait times due to him being the only one however service was great so no need to apologize. Breakfast is served until around noon. I got the corned beef hash which comes with eggs and toast. Hubs got the Lil Friar which I didn't snap a pic of. I loved my breakfast! The eggs were cooked perfectly and the hash was delicious! They do serve tea in a porcelain tea pot and tea cups which why wouldn't they right!? I didn't know until after I saw others with them on their table. They also have a small British store attached that sells goodies. Come support local and give this place a try. They are so friendly and service is great.

Authentic and very good British pub food. Fish and chips are spot on. Full English breakfast is authentic and delicious. Great atmosphere. Terrific service. Friar Tuck has a full bar. There's a small shop with imported British foods and snacks. Next time we'll go for the traditional Sunday Roast. Look forward to it.

Update!! Finally…read moreback home in New Mexico and I was just talking about the pub to someone, and the same thing kept coming up - the barmaid, Tracey. I think in all, my wife, goat and myself went to the pub 4 times and for three of those times, tracey was working. Tracey has an enviable skill to be able to blur the line of staff and customer. She makes everyone she meets a friend she just doesn't know yet and put them in a truly british pub comfortable vibe. There was one incident where my wife had to return her food as it wasn't done properly, and Tracey jumped on it immediately and made sure to put it right in the kitchen. I feel like Tracey and I connected almost immediately and as much as I might sound bias, I am trying to remain as impartial as I can. Tracey might not be the face and the glitter of the pub but her hard working mindset and smile sure is the backbone in my opinion. She rarely stops as she is so dedicated to her work and her customers. She's a true asset to the place and if the pub is smart, they will keep her on staff for many years to come.

Best of British Pub was exactly the kind of meal I was craving after just coming back from London…read more The food was amazing and truly gave that authentic British comfort food feeling. I had toast, beans, sausage, and sunny side up eggs. A staple British breakfast that instantly brought me back to my trip. My husband had the sausage gravy with green peas and mashed potatoes, and everything was flavorful, comforting, and cooked perfectly. The atmosphere really added to the experience and made it feel like a cozy local pub you'd find in the UK. The service was fantastic. If you're craving authentic British-style comfort food, this spot is definitely worth trying.

4 Corners Tavern - ChampionsGate…read more We hadn't been to 4 Corners Tavern in years. Located in the ChampionsGate shopping area, a friend recently raved about the food, so we decided it was time to give it another try. Our server, Nick, was friendly, personable, and helped us with our menu selections. I was excited to see the lunch special was a Chopped Cheese sandwich. Being from New York, I've really missed a good chopped cheese and have been craving one for quite some time. The sandwich came with a choice of side, and I chose the French fries. While it was a decent sandwich, it just wasn't an authentic New York chopped cheese. The lettuce wasn't chopped but simply placed on top, and it was missing the chopped tomatoes and onions that help make the sandwich so special. It was served on a hoagie roll, but the it wasn't smashed together the way I'm used to seeing in New York. My husband ordered the Brisket Dipper, which also came with a choice of side. He selected the soup of the day, a beef and rice soup. The sandwich was served with an au jus dipping sauce and was good, but not memorable. In fact, we both agreed the brisket at our local Ovation Bistro & Bar is much more flavorful. The soup arrived as essentially a cup of shredded beef in broth, and the rice had accidentally been left out. The server quickly brought it over afterwards. When I spotted bread pudding on the dessert menu, I couldn't resist ordering one of my all-time favorite desserts. Unfortunately, it was another disappointment. The bread pudding was very dense, covered with large dollops of whipped topping, and didn't taste particularly fresh. Overall, while the service was friendly and attentive, the food simply didn't live up to the recommendation we had received. With more than a dozen restaurants nearby offering excellent dining options, this isn't one we'd return to. If you're dining in the ChampionsGate area, I'd recommend spending your money at one of the many better choices nearby.

Well that all changed over the years as more places opened and competition got stiffer. When the original owner, Derelict Dave, sold to Luis & Gio a few years ago the place got going again. But when the "Bridges Brothers" bought the place it was awful timing as decades of neglect to the plumbing and equipment made the place an Inspection review nightmare! They pumped some money into revamping the motif of the place but all they did was just raise prices it seemed. The quality and choices of food went downhill and the staff was subpar. The initial training of the employees was minimal and it showed in the operational inefficiency. 10 months after opening they bite the bullet and close the doors to stop the hemorrhaging of cash. Another big problem is the landlord is notoriously, cheap, and impossible to deal with so good luck to anyone else who tries to lease out that spot as they will pay through the nose with a zero Tennant improvement!

He said that it was not the cleanest or nicest establishment but that it had since then gotten new management. Parking was ample since the lot is for several other establishments. When we pulled up I was pleasantly surprised by how it evoked the British culture with its styling. The inside was warmly lit and they were having a Bingo night with a $5 entry. We were less interested in the bingo night and more fixated on getting fed. We decided to sit down at the bar as most of the tables were full with families, couples, and small groups of 4-6 people. We were helped by the bartender who was patient and gave us time to take in the ambience and the menu. We decided to share an appetizer and entree. Amused by the name we decided on the Lush Mush. Yummmmm....the port reduction... delectable. For those hesitating on this selection because of the blue cheese fear not! It was not strong but made mild and gentle by the cream. The shepherds pie was comforting and satisfying. A hearty farmer's style meal. We were satisfied. The establishment was clean. We briefly explored the outside bar area which had multiple TV's for sports aficionados. It's a great locals spot for this are of Winter Garden which is a little ways from the main area. There is a secret room to explore which I didn't get a chance to enter. Hopefully, if I return on a weekend it will be open and I'll get to see what is inside. All-in-all I recommend this establishment. With the new management it's off to a great start. They had different events each night including live music, so come on over and stay awhile!
