Been here three times this month. The Sunday roast is delicious. The profiteroles took me back to my child hood! Haven't had them in the 14 years since leaving the UK, the fresh cream was spot on! But the "show stopper" for me is the fish and chips. For the price, the portion is fantastic. The taste is the closest you can find to a seaside fish and chip shop. This was our second visit and the fish and chips was very greasy. My fish in certain parts was even sort of mushy frim too much grease. There were 4 of us and all but one dinner was very greasy. The taste was good but way too much grease. On the other hand the fries had no crisp at all. Maybe it was an off night but we were,disappointed because our first visit was excellent. We would like to go back and try the lamb dinner but need to read a review first. Lamb can be gamy if not cooked correctly. read more

My husband and I fish and chips there today. Twelve hours later we are still sick. We will not be back. The food was so greasy. The fries were soggy with grease. The "chips" as they call them were not at all crisp. The fish had no seasoning. Truly, a regrettable meal. Don't do it. read more

Cute place, spacious interior and lots of bar seating. Glad we decided to share an app and one entree as the portions are HUGE. Plenty of traditional food and pints on tap. What a great place for authentic British fare. The fish and chips were the best have I had on this side of the pond. The portion size is huge, really crispy batter with moist cod inside. The Scotch Eggs were delicious too. The Dona Sunday roasted lamb or roast beef dinner which I plan to visit. Stopped by today for a Sunday roast was so excited to have an English dinner. I ordered roast beef, roast potatoes with stuffing, gravy and a Yorkshire pudding. When the food arrived I was so disappointed the veggies were cold as well as the stuffing and the cold home fries were certainly not roast potatoes that you can get at the pub in the UK. The Yorkshire pudding could have doubled up as a dry hockey puck it was terrible, we drove 45 minutes for a Sunday roast and to enjoy family time together. Friar Tuck you need to do better than this, we came in at noon it should have been fresh and hot!! It doesn't look like much from the outside but the second you walk in the atmosphere is amazing. Customer service was the best I have ever seen. I got the Fish and Chips and they were the best I have ever eaten. They were crispy and flavorful and were spot on with every part of it. For desert I got an English pudding and it was sweet and all the flavors came together perfectly. The meal reminded my mother of London. Great place to go for authentic British cuisine. Standouts were obviously the fish and chips as well as the scotch eggs. The stuffed mushrooms were amazing as well. The Beef and Cheddar sandwich was very good, but could have used a little bit more sauce. The pastry dishes were amazing. We had the cheese and onion pasty and the chicken pot pie. Both were incredible. The only downside to the food was the homemade potato salad. While the taste was great, a few of our dishes had the salad so cold that the potatoes were literally ice cubes and you could see the frost on them. Service was excellent. Staff were friendly and very engaged. Will definitely be back next time I'm in the area. read more

Friar Tuck is an amazing British restaurant that does have outdoor seating I had the Robin Hood sandwich and it was divine All of the sandwich's come with the a choice of a side the 3 choices are potato salad,pasta salad or coleslaw. We had brunch here on the last day of our vacation. It was definitely a nice break from all the fast food we've been eating at the parks the past few days. Friar Truck is a small and lovely mom and pop restaurant in Orlando. The menu is pretty simple and divided into breakfast, sandwiches, apps, and pastries. I ordered the Robin Hood sandwich which was roasted chicken, caramelized onions, bacon, brie, on top of a toasted baguette. It was a nice, savory pick me up meal for the ride back home. The owners are so sweet and friendly and would always check on us during our meal. The restaurant also had a cool shelf of British snacks and candies for purchase. I enjoyed my meal at this restaurant and definitely recommend it for brunch and British fare. read more

I am only editing to three stars because the waitress who charged for each refills last week was so professional tonight and corrected the mistake. Maybe she should be business manager. Ms. Business manager, First off, why would I point out that we were charged for every refill that night, as I assumed it was common practice. We always order beer; however, on this night, my husband preferred soda. If you're full menu is available, present it to your customers, or at least inform them it is available online. Out of our many visits, this is the first I have heard of another menu available. The waitress is a lovely person, you could take some professionalism lessons from her. Stopped for gas on the way home from Sebring and decided we were a bit peckish. Not being familiar with the area I relied on Yelp for a recommendation, and I wasn't let down. Friar Tuck on Sunday is like going over to your best friend's house for supper, if your best friend is British and always has a proper roast on Sundays. When we were there it was a beef roast with all the right sides, including a fabulous Yorkshire pudding and the best mash potatoes I've had at any restaurant. My mother had the chicken pot pie and the crust was amazing, as was the entire thing she said. She only let me have the smallest bite of crust. She never eats a whole of anything but she ate that entire pot pie. The owner/server was lovely and made everyone feel right at home. And the trifle topped off our meal perfectly.
