My fiancé and I went suit shopping for our wedding this coming summer. We went to a handful of different places to get pricing, see what they offer, and ask questions. Every other place seemed annoyed by our questions and didn't seem like they had time for us. We worked with Jenna at Friar as she explained buying vs renting, pricing, availability, etc. She was so helpful, nice, and patient with all of our questions. They had my groomsmen come in weeks early to make sure they get the right fit, they all come in on time and then when they go to pick up their suits, and from 4 separate shops, they all had issues with their fits. Total rip off. Inconvenience to the fullest. I would have been better off going to their silent partners shop which my father in law did and received way better service. If I would have known about them sooner, I would have gone their instead. If you're looking for suits or tux, look at Alicia's. My groomsmen has to return to pick up their suits not once, twice, but 3 Times. 1 had to pick his up the day before the wedding. read more

Talk about eh service. If you come here at a convenient time for yourself you'll likely find yourself waiting for a good 30 minutes since they have only had two workers each time I come here. My precious experiences here were similar, but this one in particular finally compelled me to write a review. My father and I first came here on a Saturday morning at 1030 and waited until 1130 until we left just to get fitted for a wedding. The tux size and design were already chosen by the groom on another date too. I called a few days before the wedding too, and for some reason they made my pick up in brea (where the rest of the group was getting their goodies) even though my dad was picking up on Montclair as well. I was lucky that I called earlier otherwise I would've wasted an hour driving. After that, my father picked up our tux while I was at work and when I tried it on at home the shirt size was completely off. I came back at seven that evening to get it exchanged and they made me wait for 20 minutes so a few other people could get seen. When I was finally approached they gave me a shirt that fit fine aside from the neck being too tight, and they said their shirts are sized according to neck sizes. So I ended up paying 150 for a tux rental that was more of a headache than anything and doesn't even fit comfortably. I don't plan on coming here in the future for renting or buying suits for a special occasion of any sort. read more

My son heard about this place so we went to the West Covina location from the moment we walked in they were very attentive even though they had a room full of people I witnessed every single one of them working hard to get everyone taken care of. The guy that helped us pick a tux was Victor he made it super simple and I was impressed by his way of handling client's needs, 5 stars for his knowledge and experience. Then we were told we could actually pick up at any of their locations so we chose Montclair since it is down the street from us (why we ended up driving all the way to west covina in the first place was bc my son thought that was the only location lol) anyhow Montclair location had our order ready for pick up within less than 24 hrs they even accommodated a different color of pants that we changed at the last minute plus they had to tailor it too so all in all I highly recommend them for all your tux rental needs read more

Diane Apalategui is the best. i was getting married and the groom and groomsmen were getting their tux from here. diane helped us go through the variety of styles they had, and so told us the had a photobooth and we can get the wedding party gifts from there and everything. she was very helpful. she was also helpful when i needed to change something. i had to change the bestmans color of the vest and tie it was like 2 weeks b4 the wedding and she did it. i never had to ask her twice. she also kept everything organized and would call me personally if there was a question i didnt answer. im def. sending my husband back here and anybody else i know. the service and variety is excellent. read more

Friar Tux was excellent. The girls were awesome. I had for the fitting Gabriella with getting my son measured and we were done within 15 minutes. it was a great experience. I also spoke to her about all the packages as well due to my son being in high school the dances will be coming up and this is new to us having him be in a tux. The dry cleaner lost my tux shirt hardware and I'm flying out the next morning. After getting the run around from several other shops ( one wanted too much money, the next didn't answer and the third didn't use english.
