Stopped in on a whim, glad we did. The server was friendly and very accommodating. It was a rainy day and we asked for coffee to warm up. Great coffee! Most restaurants coffee is so/so. Our order came with hot and mild spice on the side. We ordered chicken, beef and shrimp dishes that were not over cooked, stayed tender even after cooled. There was no spice to any of the dishes we ordered. Very bland!!! From the tacos to the burritos, and a fajita. Not impressed.

Been looking for a newer Mexican spot now that I've moved and Frida's has become a fave. I'm sometimes habitual when it comes to ordering just tacos which I did! The al pastor, chorizo and shrimp tacos had great flavor. My fiancé enjoyed his tacos too (2-chicken , 1-shrimp). Even had live entertainment when we popped in. Guys set up their microphone, speakers, turned on the disco lighting and started singing in Spanish. The caveat. Unfortunately this restaurant is connected to a nail salon on the rear side. With poor ventilation in the building, you can smell the acrylic monomers and rest of the chemicals protruding through to the restaurant side. There were a few other tables of diners that were dealing with it & so was I. My fiancé was not feeling it at all and said takeout is the only option next time. read more

I mean... it's fine. It's adequate. I'm actually pretty surprised by the rave reviews, honestly. I've been a few times and I've just never been blown away. It's definitely not bad, but it's pretty basic. No frills, no amazing flavors, nothing that you'd get that excited about if you've ever had Mexican food before. Again, I'm pretty baffled by the love it's getting, but I assume it's because there's literally nothing that spectacular in Souderton. The chips are super thick (in case you were expecting the thin cantina style, don't) and you have to order and pay for them, the guac is average, the quesabirria was good but not the best I've ever had. Likewise the enchiladas. IDK. Very basic Mexican restaurant that I would not seek out but isn't bad if you're in the area. read more

Horrible food!! Promotion on the menu for a quesabirria for $12.99 and then when we checked out, they charged us extra for onions and cilantro!! Who in the heck charges for onions and cilantro as an extra topping at a Mexican restaurant?! The food was so bad that every time I burped it up after I felt like throwing up I couldn't even finish it. It was the worst Mexican food I've ever had in my entire life and I am Mexican. The queso cheese sauce was just bowling alley nacho cheese sauce. The guacamole was two halves of an avocado shoved into a cup with tomato's sprinkled on top. The burrito was decent but it's kind of hard to really mess up a burrito... It's a small place, only a few tables. The service has been warm and friendly and attentive. Food has been very good, though as others have said it does not quite match the abundance of love it gets. There are a few odd items...tortilla chips are not typical, light corn tortilla chips, AND you have to pay for them (not used to not getting chips & salsa at a Mexican place). I like this place for the large selection on the menu and creative choices of food. The food is really good. The dishes I had could have been a little more clean. The service was amazing. Love the food! Frida's is my go-to for Mexican food. We've never gotten anything that wasn't delicious, I can't not get the tortilla chips with salsa and guacamole. The green salsa has a nice kick to it, and the red cranks up the heat even more. The guacamole is always fresh with tomato, and onion mixed in. The car is burritos are my favorite, covered with their tomatillo green salsa. I usually get an extra side of their chipotle cream sauce to ad to it. I highly recommend Frida's! read more
