We stopped into Toro Guacamole for lunch around noon on Friday, November 21, 2025 and really enjoyed our visit. The service was fast and friendly from the moment we walked in. The food was excellent: had the tortilla soup and a sope with beef, both full of flavor and very satisfying. My wife had the Alex tacos and loved them. We keep telling ourselves we need to come back here more often. It's such a great spot, and it's really easy to get in and out for a quick, delicious meal. read more

The Guac was amazingly cold, fresh and well balanced between light spice, savory avocado, and minimal but flavorful spices. The Tacos al Pastor were prefect! Some of the most authentic and flavorful tacos I've had in the US. They would give Aqui Es of Bethlehem a run for their money and Aqui Es was rated 3rd best authentic Taco in America. The restaurant was very clean and quaint and the service was friendly, thoughtful, timely, and spot on. If I lived closer Toronto Guacamole would be on my short list for go-to haunts. read more

I was expecting more. I had a chicken burrito and it was tasty but pretty skimpy on the chicken. The chimichanga was also tasty but skimpy on the chicken and packed with rice. I had to ask for extra salsa and they gave me two 1/2 ounce containers of salsa. The salsa was really good. If you follow my reviews I rarely complain about cost but I didn't feel like this was a great value. A burrito and chimichanga for $29 isn't pulling me back to order anytime soon. When I told people at my office I had Toro for lunch one co worker asked " how is your stomach " ? Reputation at our office is the food causes many stomach issues. Both of us were fine and the food was tasty but I was expecting more. It was also freezing in the restaurant when I was waiting for my pickup. If they included some complimentary chips and salsa I would tell like it was a much better value, I think they offer chips and salsa if you dine in. read more

The staff was friendly, service was good and place was welcoming. I ordered the veggie tostados.... Not great. Fajita veggies would be more appropriate on this item instead of the bagged frozen veggie blend that was on it. Frozen veggies felt water logged. Corn & fajita veggies would be on point. The salsa verde was delicious and the guacamole was good too. My husband got a veggie quesadilla and said it was really good. Might be better if you aren't vegetarian. read more

This small restaurant is very good! You can eat in in their small dining area or take out. This is a family run shop and the family is lovely! And the food was excellent. You get a lot of food for the price as well. It came our quickly and service was friendly. The fajitas were very good I got chicken and it was cooked perfectly! I'm updating my previous 4-star review to 5 stars. This place is, simply put, proper authentic Mexican. I lived in Southern California for a long time, I know what I'm talking about. Maybe truly authentic Mexican is not your thing, so be it... but if you want GOOD tasty proper Mexican, go to Toro Guacamole - period. Tacos were prepared just like you get from a street vendor in Mexico - NOT like the crap they serve at Taco Bell. If you want Americanized garbage like that, fine - go to Taco Bell. If you want the real thing, please go to Toro Guacamole. It's clearly a family-run business, maybe three generations working back there - and it's GOOOD!! Tamales were wonderful and, again, authentic, just like my buddy's abuelita used to make. My partner goes for the Chicken Tinga Quesadilla - spicy and smoky chipotle - YUM! I ordered chicken taco and steak taco. Chicken was cooked way too hard. I couldn't even eat it.

Chicken fajitas were great, takeout nachos were delicious and stayed crunchy even during the car ride home, tres leches cake is a good size and not too sweet, and Chile rellenos were excellent. The tortilla soup could have been better- I wish they put the tortilla strips separately for takeout but I prob could have specifically requested that. I also wish they added cilantro to the nachos and soup. I'll definitely be coming back here. read more

This was one of top 5 worst food I've ever eaten...fryer not working, ok no chips with dip, fryer broken no fried chimichanga, ok no problem, green sauce ok no problem until I opened and tried to eat food... 1st problem green sauce poured directly onto chimi which caused the chimi to be a soaking mess 2nd problem, foil that chimi baked on left with chimi and placed in take out box...can't cut chimi without eating foil too 3rd problem they were kids working and clearly cared more about catching a smoke out back they cooking or serving customers 4th problem, food was horrible really really bad. read more

My wife and I love this place and are so happy it is right down the street from us. I had the TORO Dip with homemade Chorizo and it was phenomenal!!! They let me try some of the Chorizo in a small portion before I ordered it which was so nice. Best I have ever had! And we have been to many places. This is a gem of a restaurant. So friendly and nice service too. We will be back many more times and recommend it to anyone who craves homemade Mexican food. Thank you for a great dinner! read more

My kids and I just got take out from Toro Guacamole. Let's just say, we will no longer be bothering with Chipotle. The burritos and tostadas were awesome!
