Every time I've eaten at the Newnan location, the food has been excellent, until yesterday. I was disappointed in the pulled pork. It was so full of fatty meat I couldn't eat it. So I just ate the beans and coleslaw. Should have gone back to get baked chicken, but it wasn't worth the effort, since my mobility is limited. Tonight, 10/11/22, my son and I dined at the FRIED TOMATO BUFFET in Newnan, GA. At the conclusion of our meal, I was disgusted to find a black fly floating in my beverage. After showing it to the manager and advising her of the flies in the unsanitary men's room, as well as on the buffet, she remained unapologetic, offering nothing but excuses. If past customer reviews are any indication, the pest infestation and Management's calloused responses appear to be a common occurrence there. Inasmuch as a refund should have been in order, her only consolation was a nonsensical assurance that their flies would die out in the coming winter. Although, this eatery's prices have increased dramatically, apologies still cost nothing. For over a decade, my family and I have frequently been loyal patrons of the restaurant, counting several of the staff among our dearest friends. Unfortunately, we have witnessed the hospitality, service, and cleanliness of this business slowly deteriorate to a nauseating degree. Having served in food service management and law, I expect dining establishments to provide a legal standard of service to customers. Excuses for filth and negligence are unacceptable, by any standard. I absolutely cannot recommend the FRIED TOMATO BUFFET nor will we ever again trust the food served therein. read more

The waitress brought us our drinks OK this is where it really gets interesting they first had their salad bar which would be coleslaw, chicken salad or crab meat salad,cucumber salad, potato salad, pasta salad, kale salad, Caesar salad, tuna salad, and then just on the side they had their great pickles. Now moving over to the next station they started with mashed potatoes, homegrown fresh green beans, corn, sweet yams, Collard greens, rhubarb, steamed cabbage, steamed beans, and also fried rice , oh we're not done with that station yet so here comes the black eyed pea's, jalapeño cornbread, Mac and cheese. OK now we're moving onto the next station yeah it just keeps coming so fried chicken, baked chicken, barbecue chicken, fresh baked dinner rolls, fried green tomatoes, Chicken dressing with cranberry sauce, chicken giblet gravy, meatloaf, turkey pot roast, roasted ham dinner, oh yeah country fried steak. Now like that's not enough were moving over to the next station oh yeah banana pudding fresh hot homemade chocolate fudge & cookies, assorted pies, homemade cakes, Apple and peach cobbler, and bread pudding. Now the only reason why I gave this a four instead of a five is because they had a hard time which is understandable a very hard time keeping up with the demand of the line that stayed outside trying to get in so when the locals tell you this is the Best place in town my suggestion is to go and at least try it we were so impressed not to mention way to full because you have to try a little bit of everything,we sure loved it,I hope you do too. read more

The food was amazing!!! The fried tomatoes were superb!! My family and I visited today for the first time. The food was seasoned but not overly seasoned. I like my food like that. Most restaurants today have too much sodium in there food. I had rutabagas, collard greens, sweet potatoes and fried rice. I loved everything and will be returning again soon!! My whole family wants to come back soon too. Since my last review, I have visited this restaurant again including several other locations because my husband loves it. For me, the food has not been the same since my first visit. If you are a meat eater, then you probably will like the variety of meats that are available. However, if you don't eat meat like myself, the sides are always the same and that is boring to me. Whenever we are trying to decide on a restaurant it is difficult because one person always end up unhappy. I thought this was a place we could both enjoy but No Way!! If you ever go and there happens to be a long wait, i recommend taking the time to try it out! in comparison to Golden Corral, there isn't a lot of options, but the quality is much better. They truly focus on giving you the best options of ribs, fried chicken, fried steak, pastas, good salad bar, desert: banana pudding is delicious. Cabbage is one of my favorites there. Depending on which days you go, they may have different varieties. Now, the fried chicken is so succulent and juicy!
