It turned out to be I needed a "POWER BRAKE BOOSTER" a part that only costs $116.52 and it should only take an hour or two at most. Get this, they charged me $410.50 'for the part and $410.50 for labor you can clearly see I got ripped off!! When I questioned the price they gave me the run around answer. I'm a non confrontationl person and left without causing a seen. I called and went in again and was turned down again. All I asked them to do was refund a portion of my money $410.50 I know they have to make a living as well that's why I'm only asking for half my money back I believe that's fair! *** LADIES BEWARE*** This facility replaced my clutch actuator, which is expensive. Months afterward, the car was doing the exact same thing as before; hesitating when I shifted into drive or reverse. On a Monday, I called and spoke with Emeral(?). He stated to bring the car in, and based on the time, he could let me know what is going on by the end of the day. I stated that I could have it there by 1p. I was there at 12:30p. Emeral started that he would give me a call before the end of the day. No call from the shop on Monday or Tuesday morning. I called Emeral around 5pm on Tuesday. He stated that they were putting things together and would call me within the next 15-30 mins. Again, I was lied to.  No call.  Wednesday at 10:30a, Emeral called to state that he was waiting on a quote for a part and he would call me as soon as he received it. I stated that he told me that he would call me on Monday and yesterday (Tuesday), and the calls never came. I told him that it was poor customer service to make promises that he wouldn't keep and to have someone's car for that long without updates on what is going on. I advised that if I hadn't called on Tuesday, he would not have called me, and I still don't know what the issue is with my car. Emeral stated, "Yes, if you hadn't called on yesterday, I would not have called you." I state it's bad business to not keep your word. Emeral stated, "What did it matter?" He was not having that conversation with me.  I asked for the total of what was owed. He stated $0 at this time. I advised that I'd be there to pick up the car. On Wednesday afternoon, I went to pick up my car. Emeral stated the conversation by apologizing.  He stated that he felt bad at the end of the call. He proceeded to tell me the diagnosis, which, according to him, was not the transmission. I remained silent. If the shop specializes in transmissions and they were standing behind previous repairs, why did he not call and state that on Monday? Emeral stated that he would call me within the next 30 minutes with a quote for repairs. Unsurprisingly, the call did not come. We all have lives; jobs and responsibilities, and they all require some form of transportation. Most of us take pride in our automobiles and misses them when they are not available to us.  For a mechanic to have a car for greater than two days without a follow-up call as promised is unacceptable.  I'm applauded at the lack of customer service that is rendered here. LEARN FROM MY MISTAKE, find a repair shop that treats customers with respect and whose word is bond. If you don't care about those things, then this is your place. read more

I was working with 'CERTIFIED BENZ & BEEMER' and had an "Extended Warranty" with their dealership BUT when my transmission went OUT they contacted MY extended warranty and got a NEW TRANSMISSION... However instead of install that IN my car they ended up selling it for profit & sending my car to this pathetic dirt-road lot where my Transmission went OUT AGAIN after 90-DAYS!! I contacted their "shop" and they tried to pretend they did everything "by the book" but I was able to PROVE that they "photoshopped" a previous invoice from PORSCHE that I have evidence was falsified & they NEVER repaired my transmission correctly. Always get a second opinion. Unless it's here, then get a third. Showed up with a transmission problem and requested a diagnosis. They drove the car around and then their diagnosis was that I needed a new transmission. It took them 3 hours and they didn't even look under the car or call me back when they were done. The guy gave me a bland half-assed explanation about how it might be a problem with the actuator. The problem was a seal with the CV joint and the reseal cost a fraction of their recommended transmission swap. Mechanic told me they made up a lie to try to sell me a transmission. I have roadside assistance covered by my insurance and I can get a free towing to any shop. I called this shop to see if I can bring my car to their shop the same day. I explained that I will have a towing truck to bring my car to the shop. They offered free towing, so I accepted their offer. My car transmission fluid leaked and the plug was lost. They replaced the plug and refilled it on the same day. To my puzzle, the total was $248.61 including tax, labor, and towing fees. $100 for fluid & plug. $50 for labor. $90 for towing. Ally said that he was honest. I asked him to waive the towing fee because I could have used my road assistance. Ally said that the free towing is void because it did not need a major repair. He could not waive it. I told him that he was dishonest over the phone. Ally got angry and threw the receipt on the floor. He told me to go away and take the car without paying. He became crazy when I said he was dishonest. The cost of refill fluid plus labor for $160 was reasonable. I gave this shop one star due to his violent behavior. I still paid. This place is insane. I asked how much it would be to change a clutch in my car. It it important to mention I do already have the parts I wish to use. I was told "eleven fifty", as though it was some sort of deal....just to be clear that is $1,150.00 folks. Steer clear of this place like it will give you herpes. Given that this job probably takes 4-5 hours at a normal pace. Call it 4.5 hours to change a clutch, reasonable. That is a whopping $255.00 per hour. Do not take your vehicle to these jokers for any reason. This place hopefully burns to the ground. The labor they charged me at $80/hr which seemed fair, they explained what was wrong with the van and walked me through the repairs that were needed. Got a transmission rebuilt with an after market transmission cooler added on to help out with my stop and go driving. They also paid for the tow to get it to them which came out to being about $70 savings. I highly recommend this place. I will return to have a followup check. read more

I had my transmission leaking fluids so I took it in thinking it was just a seal. They tell me my transmission is cracked on a 2010 Hyundai Sonata and I need to replace it. They put in a used one and gave a six month warranty on the labor. This was back in October 2019 and to date, I have had to take it twice to be repaired because it is leaking transmission oil which is the very same reason why I brought it in the first place!. I have wasted over $150 on rental cars after the first fix so that I can get to work while they work on my car over and over again. I have a feeling that whoever is working on transmissions has no idea what they are doing. I will never step foot in there again and if you are wise, you won't either. read more

This place is SCAM, i took my 2007 jeep commander due to it not going over a certain MPH. They called me back to let me know that I needed a complete tune up Ignition coil kit, Dbl Plat spark plug, Belt, Tensioner Belt. They said this would fix my problem completely and the jeep would be in great condition. I was charged 839.00, i drove my car a or a few days and the SAME issue happend again. I called them to let them know what was going on they told me to bring my car in and they would take care of it. I recently purchased a supposed rebuilt transmission from these crooks everything seemed ok when purchasing first transmission got it home put it in and it's wrong one took it out took it back got another one and they wasn't very happy about it tried basically telling me that it was my fault cause I didn't make sure it had the correct speedo gear got second one in and it was no good got third one in finally it kinda worked wouldn't shift into 3rd or overdrive I had to drop pan myself to see that the dumbass that built it didn't have shift solenoid's plugged in correctly so simple fix finally after missing work for a week I was able to go to work for a whole 3 days then transmission started pumping all of it's fluid out on the freeway super lucky my truck didn't catch fire this time I was done I wanted my money back they absolutely refused to give my money back finally agreed on another transmission and refunding $450 of the $ 1,500 originally spent not to mention all the wasted transmission fluid so got the last transmission in and lasted three months and then on the way from work it started slipping really bad and making horrible noises got truck home dropped pan and it's full of metal called to talk to manager and go figure the manager does not work there anymore or the lame ass that builds the shitty transmission's and the new manager is a complete bitch basically told me it was my fault and there was nothing she could do and I never got the measly $450 bucks the douchebag that sold me transmission said I was going to get so please please do yourself a favor do not let these incompetent morons touch your vehicle cause I'm now out probably close to 2,300 and am not able to work read more

I located this shop nearby and they were great. they gave me an awesome deal to repair the crack in my radiator and even replaced the hoses and radiator cap. Had my trans services by another company which resulted in an immediate problem with shifting. Super Discount road tested and said I needed a $1,300 repair plus I needed to open my wallet for any other hardware that may be worn out. Told them I needed a saecond opinion. I then took it to a Quality Transmission shop in Tempe where they were very professional and got on it. They said I may have had some debries and got it cleared on a road test then refused to charge me any money. I called Super Discount Transmissions and he said they cant tell what is wrong just by drivind the car. BEWARE... This transmission shop is owned by a bunch of crooks. GET A SECOND OPINION, BETTER YET DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR THERE. I had my 2005 Pathfinder towed there to get an estimate/inspection. I was initially quoted $1000-$1250 and was told that worst case scenario if there were hard/core parts needed to be replaced it would be $1750. I gave authorization for my transmission to be removed and inspected. I was then quoted $2800 due to a major component needing replacement "they called it a TCM". All parts to my transmission were shown to me in person the next day while the personel explained the issue. I was then shown an exact transmission to an identical Pathfinder on the lot which had broken/melted silinoids/valves that was shown to me to make a comparison. I decided to get a second opinion the next day and asked the shop to load my car as-is. The shop denied my request and said there was a $1500 tool holding-up my engine and would not let the tow truck driver load my vehicle. The tow truck driver leftI paid their fee in full $430 for removing my transmission, but they did not want to give me back my vehicle. After an hour of argueing they pushed my car to the parking lot and had 2 employees load the parts on the trunk. I looked at the parts loaded and they loaded the other broken/melted valve component instead of the correct one. I was very upset when I noticed this and demanded that they give me the correct parts. They acted as if I didnt know what I was talking about and played dumb. I locked my vehicle and was about to leave, when the 2 employees came to me and said by the way "the main drive shaft and about 5-10 other parts" were not in the trunk. I let them put the rest of the parts in and left. The new shop received the car later that afternoon and stated "they had never seen anything like this before. Needless to say, they forgot to give me the main screws to close-up (put together the transmission) which I had to go back and get two days later because the dealer doesn't just sell these by themselves and when I picked them up, the employee there "RAY" said "by the way here's your catalytic converter, we didn't put it in your car". They are unorganized, liers and they have 16 COMPLAINTS (8 THIS YEAR) ALREADY WITH THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU. Hope this helps someone, This mistake just cost me $3600. read more

Do not take your car to this place. They have two guys doing the selling and they don't care what your situation is. The mechanics are not good mechanics they do not know what they are doing and did not put my car back together correctly. They will tell you your car needs repairs you don't need. I took my car there and they told me they just needed to do a service, then told me the fluid was heating up and they need to replace the part that was heating up and I should just replace the entire transmission. When I said I didn't have enough money they told me I could use their loan service to get the money. I was stupid enough to do that and when I got my car back, I drove 400 miles only to have the fluid empty in my transmission. Urg, I took it to another shop to find out they didn't put my car back correctly and added a transmission cooling device I didn't know I was getting. my car was not running and i had it towed to a auto shop called Abels auto parts to see what was wrong with it.they told me i needed a new clutch and quoted me $650.00 for parts and labor.i decided to get a 2nd quote from super discount transmission because i saw it online and saw it was a member of BBB. I was quoted $550.00 out the door for parts and labor. the gentleman i spoke to from super discount transmissions told me he would even tow the car for free. so i took the deal. A day later i call to see if the car is fixed and the same guy tell me there's a problem and i need to go down to the shop to check it out. When i went down there he told me the clutch was stuck onto the transmission and would probably need a new transmission once they got the stoke clutch off, and said it would be about $2,000.00, i told him i did not have $2,000.00 he then said for me to leave my car over the weekend so they can continue to try to take clutch off. I called on 03/21/11 to see what happen and the guy told me they got the clutch off but i would need a new flywheel witch he was saying would cost about $600.00 i then told him i would call around to see if i can find the part cheaper, he said that was fine. On 03/22/11 i called super discount transmissions back and told them i found the part but it would take two days to be shipped to me, he said they could not wait for two days and they need the part today. i told him to just put everything back how it was and i will have it towed from their shop since they would not wait two days for the part. I then called later on to see what time i can pick my car up and the owner said i he was unaware of me picking my car up and said i would have to pay for the labor for them having to take it apart then put it together, or i can pick the car up with out them putting my transmission back in place. He said they would wait for the part if i left the car there.when i asked how much it would be he told me its about $850.00 for parts and labor. when i told him the other gentlemen quoted me at $550. he said hes not sure why the guy told me that and made it seem like i was lying. He said he would talk to the guy and see why he told me that price. I told the owner i would have never got it towed to his shop if it was $850.00 because the previous shop was charging me $650.00.
