My daughter's favorite breakfast spot. She just loves the pancakes here. Food is always decent and comes out fast. No matter what time of day it is you can get anything on the menu. If I could put 0 stars I would. My friends and I tried to go with our kids and the staff was so rude to our kid. We had to wait over 10 minutes just for someone to come over and they attempted to seat another couple without kids first and when they told the waitress we were first she seemed bothered that she had to interact with us. It feels dark and dirty in the dining area. I look up above table lamps and behind monitors, it's MODLY!! I'm disgusted by that. The waitress however was outstanding. My mother mostly speaks Spanish so her transition between languages is seamless and speaks clearly. She should set the example for the rest of the team. This location was an absolute dump when my mother & I came in for a Valentine's Day lunch. Big pieces of food & crumbs on the floor of the section we were told to pick a seat in, tables that hadn't been bussed. There were about 3 tables with diners in the whole restaurant with multiple servers attending. Plenty of other staff just walking around like zombies not doing much. Our server took her good old time taking our order, took even longer to put it in, pretty sure she went out for a smoke break first. About 25 mins go by, 2 more tables were sat & no one came to take their order, no one came to clean the dirty tables or dirty floor, I asked the couple who were waiting well before we were how long it had been & they had lost track. A gentleman at another table who had been ignored told us he & his family waited 45 mins for their food once. Ridiculous!! We decided to leave as it was pushing half an hour & our server wasn't in sight & there was absolutely no reason for basic breakfast food to take that long when there are next to no diners & more than one server. Literally as we were about to walk out our server came out with the peoples food who had been waiting longer, we told her between the condition of the restaurant & the ridiculously slow service we didn't want to wait, she then tried to prove a point by saying the ticket time showed it had only been 15 mins since she placed it. That didn't account for how long she took to actually put the order in from the time we gave it to her. Then tried to blame it on it being shift change that's why things were taking so long but she and the other server working the other side of the restaurant (with 1 table) had plenty of conversation time at the soda fountain. Very rude staff. Received the wrong order. When I returned to the store I was not offered anything other than an excuse that "we are busy and understaffed". I completely understand when a company is understaffed it can be a challenge. Mistakes can be made. I was simply back to get my correct order. Everything I said was returned with "we are busy and understaffed". Again, I get it! "Can I just get my money back then?" is my reply. "Why are you acting like a dick?" is the exact words the waitress said to me. I do NOT know this woman. I am simply there as a customer for food. And this employee is calling me a dick. Literally. I am professional and do not use foul language in public places. That is not polite and is very unacceptable around younger children. Honestly if I could do a negative star I would. I went here on a friday after work about 6pm to meet up with some family. There were a good bit of us, so I completely understand a wait on food. The waiter let us know it was going to be about a 15 minute wait just to get our drink orders. Which was okay at first. We eventually got our drinks ordered and 2 appetizers. We sat for about probably 20 minutes waiting for our drinks. 20 more minutes pass and we finally got our appetizers (2), mind you we have a 4 year old with us. Luckily she was good for us. We waited probably around 15 more minutes for the waiter to order our food. Didn't ask if we needed anything else as all our cups were empty in between waiting after we got our drinks and ordering our food... We flagged him down to ask about drink refills. When he took our cups, he came back with them and left straws in only some (when we all had straws) and proceeded to say I'm not sure who's is who's and left them on the table and walked away. This place had maybe 2 other tables with 1-2 at each table. We were the only big party of 6. I know this Denny's hasn't been up and packed for a while so we gave them the benefit of the doubt that maybe our waiter was also the cook. So we finally got our food after about another 30 minutes. Our food was surprisingly the least of our worries. But, I ordered a build your own omelette and I asked for Ham, Bacon, Cheese, and tomatoes. Our waiter put it in as a build your own slam. I was brought 2 slices of ham, scrabled eggs, toast, 2 slices of bacon, and 2 slices of tomatoes just laying on the plate.... How would you not question it and think maybe it is not a build your own slam? I wasn't complaining at least I still had food at this point. It was about 7:43pm when the food arrived. Just to get the bill at about $150. Which isn't bad for 6 people when you have excellent service. Like I said we completely understood if they were understaffed. But, we were there an hour and a half with no food with a 4 year old... They didn't try to accomodate for that at all. We wasted our whole night when we could've went somewhere else for less time and better service. We had my Fiance's brother visiting from New York who used to live out here until their mother passed. They moved to NY with their dad, he wanted Denny's because it has been so long. We honestly should have went somewhere else. So we weren't the happiest that they didn't offer free drinks for the long wait and poor service we dealt with and was very kind with because we thought they were understaffed. Expecting us to pay full price for not quite the best service. So now we were upset. When we went up, the manager came out and we explained the situation. He just told us "well you should've got the manager after 15 minutes of waiting" as if the poor service was our fault?!?! He didn't even apologize. My fiance had to argue with him, then he then finally took our drinks off and gave us the ONE appetizer for free after we demanded we were not apying a full bill for such a horrible service. We ordered cheese sticks and a sampler for our appetizers. There was a girl waitress, the guy we had and the manager... We noticed 2 tables with 2 at each on her side as we were checking out. You're telling me at least 3 people couldn't handle 6-7 tables at most? I know it's hard but the service shouldn't of been THAT bad. They could've checked up on us a bit more and offered more things for at least the child we had, Or made sure her food was out first. By the time we were done it was 8:15pm and her bed time is 8pm. So now we have a 4 year old that ate super late and goes straight to bed. Very displeased and will never return. If you are understaffed you are to make up for it by at least seeming like you care. It seemed like the people that worked there only cared about their earnings more. I'm very disheartened by this as I used to like Denny's too like my Fiance's brother did. I would LOVE to see Gordon Ramsay walk in there!!! Do better Denny's! Start with that awful manager of yours who obviously can't train or have decent empathy for his customers for poor services! C'mon man. This is quite the love hate relationship. The stars are for our server. She stayed nice and professional during our visit. The first thing was my husband's sausage was refrigerator cold. She gladly replaced his meal with a different plate. However, not getting to personal but I haven't eaten a normal meal due to illness in over a month. I was extremely excited to eat. I wanted something with flavor and I chose boneless chicken wings w/ BBQ sauce. It looked so appetizing. I used a small plate so I could cut bite sized pieces. On my 4th piece it happened. My chicken was raw in the middle. I just sit here and wonder if I didn't cut them into bite sized pieces I would have bitten into that. Still our server was professional. She offered a new plate. Since I haven't eaten it a while I told her I had eaten plenty. She took it off our bill. I don't know what was going on in the kitchen that day and I will give them another chance. If I could get this location, zero stars, I would. That being said, I spent $75 last night on my order, I tried to show their general manager, Stacy kindness and respect, and understanding that I completely get that they are probably overworked and understaffed I was the only person out of seven calls that could prove I had been there. Because I had receipt info she basically told me that's what I was telling her wasn't true because the manager was cooking food last night and doesn't normally cook so that being said she had also told me she had seven different calls of complaints and I was the only one that could prove that I was there by receipt information and she wanted to tell me she would only refund a portion of my order and wouldn't remake our food today and wanted to send me coupons which is unacceptable so I requested my entire order be refunded which she denied to do so not only did they screw up my order they were not willing to make it, right so now I will be helping us information. I also do know how to get information by word of mouth, which I will do do not go to this restaurants they are understaffed overworked no one will listen to you even when you can prove you were there. My mother joined me this morning for it was her birthday! I was like EGADS!, but it was her choice, so we went. Many, many years ago, I was a huge patron of this particular establishment. Though as years went, it kept declining downhill. Worse and worse service, atmosphere, cleanliness became. Covid has nothing to do with it! If you had an ounce of talent in your business, your establishment can handle anything if those higher on the ladder and institutions enabling the investment can keep their ego's and narcissism in check. Much the problem of many S&P 500 CEO touting the wish for a ticket to space! Anyhow, I was impressed by my Server! She recognized that another tables order came up before ours. She wondered why and questioned it with her manager, who took the time to get it done and corrected. Then, our server approached us and said she noticed and is rectifying the issue. That is just something one does not expect from today's level of constant excuses! I was that taken by it. I must pull the manager aside and give Kudo's. I know Managers of Restaurants are overwhelmed, and it is a surmounted weight they carry in career choice. I believe Sandy was her name. I recognized that my visit this time was up to bar from so many years ago. Found out the server is a trainer! All the more kudos for she is getting it done. I understand her challenges and frustrations of her position. I had to express my pleasure of my "wow'd" experience. Denny's!
