This was rhe best restaurant we went to on our trip to Lancaster. I loved the vibe. Every room was beautiful and wedding ready. Our waitress was so helpful woth our orders and giving us recomendations around town. You could tell the other guests loved her too. And the food was good. We had a dinner for nine on June 5 to celebrate two family birthdays. The room was mostly to ourselves. We've been there before but this visit was the best experience we had at Loxley's. The beverages were fantastic, our meals were excellent plus we had a surprise birthday dessert. Food, service and ambiance for our dining experience gets maximum stars, especially our server Matt who was very polite, professional, friendly and made our evening extra special. Stay away!!! Simply put the service is not good. We came back to eat here after 10 years of being away from the area. This place went WAY down hill. My prime rib was cool to the touch along with the mashed potatoes. My son had fish and chips. His coleslaw was sour and we asked 3 times for tartar sauce. Still never received it. I walked down to talk to the manager and he gave me excuse after excuse. Their "systems" are broke. A restaurant of this kind should be hopping at 7:30pm on a Saturday night. It was dead. Love love love this place. Right from food to ambience to service. Everything was great. Value for money and food is delicious. We came here on all 3 days during our trip to Lancaster and it did not disappoint. Everyone was very good to our kid and our pup. Saturdays are live music days and the band actually sang old McDonald for my 2 year old!! Sunday, we went for breakfast buffet 15 mins before closing time and they graciously kept it open for us to make sure we got everything AND did not charge us because they knew we had to rush through in the end. Our Sorority decided to have our 40th Anniversary Dinner @ Loxleys! We had a private room and the establishment allowed us to set-up a projection screen and have our photo slide show collage be in the background while we enjoyed our drinks...appetizers and meals! I had the Thai Chili wings and shared Crab Dip! Both were satisfactory and enjoyable... Came here for a team dinner. There were 25 of us and we got a nice, big room. The menu is varied with burgers, Italian pasta, steak and seafood. There's a decent list of draft craft beers, cocktails and mocktails. Surprisingly, the fish n chips were good. A large piece of fish that was really crispy and seasoned crispy fries. Service was really slow even with multiple servers helping. Drinks took 10-15 min. I only ordered the fish, and I was almost the last to be served, which shouldn't be considering deep frying should be fast!! No espresso drinks for after dinner; only espresso martinis. However, they were good about splitting the check multiple ways and didn't add an automatic gratuity for such a large group. They take Apple Pay. read more

Loved this place. I had it pinned because I didn't want to forget to go during my 4 days in Lancaster. I liked the idea of dining in a "tree house" but no one was sitting outside, upstairs -- maybe because it was chilly. Oh well, my dinner (inside) and service was amazing. After reading some of the reviews, we decided to have dinner here. The atmosphere was great, but the service was a little off. When we ordered our drinks (2 smoked Old Fashions), we were asked what Bourbon we preferred, and we went with Buffalo Trace. The drinks were listed on the menu for $12.00, but when we received the check, they were $17.00. When asked about it, we were told it was an upcharge because of the Bourbon we selected. WHAT!??? So basically, we were charged $12.00 for simple syrup, bitters, and ice, and then $5.00 for the Bourbon. Our server either asked the manager or the bartender about the charges, we are not sure which, but in the end, we were told sorry, but that's the way it is. If you decide to visit, make sure to look over your bill at the end. We will avoid this place in the future. read more

We had a private luncheon after my grandfather's funeral today, and we were so impressed with the food and service. The staff were all very respectful and friendly. I ask them about it and they say most of the wooden tables are sticky which is gross. Then the waitress brings us a bottle of water and it's salty. She apologies and gets us some fresh water, says sometime that happens. We ordered our food and when it came it looked fine. Chicken was super dry. The mash potatoes had a sour taste too. The caesar salad with chicken was bad. Chicken was dry and dressing had no taste. my fish and chips were fine but the Cole slaw had a sour taste also. Besides all that the waitress seemed out of it. This was a visually charming place that we had researched in advance, and we're so glad we found it! We were greeted immediately at the desk and escorted to a patio table. Our server, Vincent, was attentive and kind. I ordered the Peasant Burger (no bun), medium, and a side salad. My husband ordered his standard Philly Cheesesteak, excited that it would be on an authentic Conshohocken Roll (he's very picky). The burger, delicious as it was, was more toward medium rare, but I'm not complaining. I secretly hope that it comes that way when I order medium. The side salad was beautiful, making for a complete and filling meal. When asked, hubby said overall 8/10 on the cheesesteak for flavor and roll, but it loses a couple of points because it was smaller than his idea of a cheesesteak. We had almost forgotten about the cheese curds after a 4 hour drive, but we remembered just in time and had them at the end of the meal. Oh, man. I'm hooked on cheese curds now. They're the bomb. Went downstairs to hear a very talented duo play but was met with a boisterous crowd that had been there for a while. Full to the brim, both the bar stools and the tables. Couldn't hear the duo at all due to the noise but that's understandable with the hotel have numerous functions on a Saturday nite. My issue is with the bartender who basically ignored us and others. After waiting 10 min. with him not even looking at that part of the bar, we decided to move right in front of him as 2 chairs opened up. We still had to flag him down to give our order. I was looking forward to a draft beer and I asked if he had Miller light on draft, yes they do. At least 10 minutes later he pushes a glass in front of me that obviously was not a miller light draft. When I asked what that was, he copped a tn attitude and swore it was what I ordered. I mentioned to him I've been drinking this since before he was born and this was not a draft beer, when he finally said the keg kicked so he gave me a bottle. No, he did not ask me if I wanted a different draft, he just poured a glass from a bottle, saying nothing and expecting I would just drink it. I'm guessing the hotel business is all they need and all the bad reviews I've heard about this place over the last 20 years or so, are true !!! People were actually lined up to pay their bills, half the bar had empty glasses with people waiting...really a terrible bar. Management should do something about this, but probably wont because the have a "captive" audience within the hotel. read more

The food, super yum; would Love to go back; everything delicious - unfortunately, I will not go back. Starting off with the positives, a crock of onion soup. One of the best made, restaurant onion soups I've had in a long time. Plenty of carnalized onions, perfect meaty broth (absence of salt), thick slice of herb bread, draped in melted cheese; perfection. Though my caesar was heaped with fresh, crisp romaine, topped with homemade croutons; the dressing itself, missed that zip of something (more lemon juice, dijon, worcestershire, parmigiano?) not sure. The dressing was a bit of a let down. A pineapple upside down cake was stellar. Moist, crumbly cake, a caramelly pineapple atop, alongside heavenly, rich ice-cream and a swirl, of homemade whipped topping. Now, to why we won't be coming back to this restaurant - the service. The restaurant was practically empty, but we were there for nearly two hours. We actually had three waitresses. I'm not kidding. Waitress one, was training waitress two. The trainer was so engrossed in the training, that she actually neglected the customer; my husband and myself. Waitress 1, spoke super fast, spoke over me and got my drink order wrong. Waitress 2, corrected it for us. Drinks were not refilled. Waitress three, brought out our food - but between soup and salad, was an hour wait. Between salad and dessert, was a thirty minute wait. Came here for my Dad's birthday back in March for the first time. I had a good experience! I got a gluten free cheesy bread as an appetizer (pretty much pizza) and it was awesome! I also got a reuben on GF bread and it hit the spot! It was really cool to see an extensive GF menu because it gave us a large range to pick from. They have a very unique outdoor dining space here. It's not just a patio, it's a patio, deck and treehouse all in one. Complete with a koi pond with bridge entrance. We had a group lunch here outside on a sunny, but slightly chilly day in late April. They do have vinyl shades that can be drawn to block sun & wind, which was helpful for the wind today. We had a reservation for 5 and were seated iI quickly. I had the salmon burger with broccolini as a side since I was trying to be healthy. The burger was quite filling & large. The broccolini was so-so, wasn't very tender. It's a solid restaurant with a bar next to the Heritage Hotel and Dutch Apple Dinner Theater. Large parking lot. It sits back off Centerville Rd and is easy on/off Rt 30. They have online ordering and a Sunday Brunch as well. I didn't get to see the inside. read more
